Liquid Additive Skid LAS00 Designed to meet the stringent demands of offshore rig equipment, Cameron’s liquid additive skid (LAS) uses proven components and established technology to deliver reliable, efficient operations over a long service life. The LAS streamlines the process of adding chemicals into oil-based and water-based mud systems by providing a single point of contact for liquid chemical feeding and injection jobs. Cameron’s LAS ensures accurate, automatic, high-speed dosing of liquid chemicals into the mud mixing system for increased job flexibility and ease of use. Operators control and monitor operations using a touchscreen mounted on the skid’s local control panel (LCP). Operating parameters are set using the LCD touchscreen mounted on the skid local control panel. An information area on the LCP displays real-time system status whenever the system is running. The LAS filling lances are connected to lengths of flexible hose using a quick-connect valve for fast and easy changes. The unit is driven by two VFD-controlled hose injection pumps, each with a pumping capacity of up to 1700 L/hr. A flow switch and a pressure switch on both of the chemical lines prevent high pressure during discharge operations of the dosing pumps if running against closed valves.
