On Thursday 25th June, 4 Deniliquin North students;
Charlie Dudley, Hannah Dunmore, Harry Dudley and
Samantha Hughes travelled to Corowa to compete in
the local final of the Multicultural Perspectives
Public Speaking Competition (M.P.P.S). Deni North has
been successfully involved in this competition for well
over a decade, with past students making it to both
Regional and State Finals. This year at Corowa, Deni
North won both the Junior and Senior sections of the
competition. As a result, Hannah Dunmore and Charlie
Dudley will be representing North at the Riverina and
Western NSW Final to be held on Thursday 27th
August at Sturt Public school in Wagga.
This is Charlie’s second year competing at regional
level, having won the junior section last year.
Samantha Hughes (senior division) was also presented
with a ‘highly commended’ award for her efforts.
We congratulate all 4 students on their outstanding
efforts!
