Gearbox: No external gearbox! The gearing mechanism is an integral part
of one sturdy leg column-streamlined and protected from road wear.
Legs: Nonlinear analysis was employed to determine the optimum grade
of high strength low alloy steel for the landing gear. Finite analysis
yielded the ideal shape.
