‘MSI’ LAMINAR FLOW SYSTEM MODEL LFS-HERT-42: - The basic
elements of our ultra clean Air System is pre-filters, heavy-duty blowers
assembly, HEPA (High Efficiency Particular Air) filters that filters almost all
impurities of size 0.3 micron and larger. Double filtrated Laminar Flow Air
Blows downward through the worktable at a nominal velocity of approx.
90ft/mt. The Laminar flow air meets the specifications of class 100 of U.S.
Federal Standard 209B.
Construction: - Basic material is ¾” wood which is termite and insect proof,
weather resistant, acoustically superior, structurally strong and dimensionally
stable, chosen specially for its sound & vibration damping characteristics. All
joints are routed (not but joints) and bounded with adhesive secured with
screws/nails. Front and side panel exterior are covered with Formica
Lamination of white color or any color of your choice (subject to availability).
Filter sets is carefully formed, installed and checked for leakage Inside of the
structure is nicely filled with fine filler for smooth surface and then nicely
painted in white enamel paint.
Work Table: - Stainless Steel or Mica top as desired.
Side Panels: - Perspex sheet with anodized/wood frame.
Motor & Blower/ Electric System: - Motor blower assembly running smooth
and silently with minimum noise damping acoustically superior paint etc.
Vibration are controlled by mounting anti vibration device so that precision
work can be carried out or Microscope can be used easily within working
surface. Cap.750cufm. Air ejection velocity: 1640ft/sec. +/-20%. The Control
Panel comprising of Main Switch, UV Light switch, Fluorescent light All the
switches are nicely placed with the Indicator bulbs. Main lead approx.3mtr.
Long is provided. Work on 220/230/V AC mains.

‘MSI’ Biological safety Cabinet Biosafety hood level –III Biological Safety
Cabinet are designed as per the US federal Standards of class 100 Laminar Air
flow Biological Safety Cabinets. The equipment is provided with the Burn-out
cabinet for the safety of the operator. Its noise level (max.) 62 dB provides
almost noiseless environment to the operator. Environmental air is drawn by a
balanced Centrifugal blower through pre filters retaining more than 75% of
particles larger than 5 microns and is thrown onto work chamber through high
efficiency HEPA filter.
Pre filters: Fabricated out of washable synthetic non woven media. The material
is moisture-fungus-bacteria and frost resistant and are mounted on sturdy frame.
The filters are DOP tested as per standard BS: 283 I and are 90% efficient down
to 5 micron with IPD 5mm WG at rated flow up to 1000 cfm +/- 20%. HEPA
filters: Standard sizes used are made out of micro glass fiber with aluminum foil
separates and mounted in anodized aluminum frame sealed with epoxy and is
provided with rubber gaskets. HEPA filters 99.97% efficiency down to 0.2-0.3
microns are protected by expanded metal sheet mesh or equivalent material.
Filters are DOP tested with IPD less than 18mm WG and FPd less than 40mm
WG at rated flow up to 1000cfm +/- 20% and also tested as per standard US
Fed. Standard -209B
Blower Unit: Assembly consist of suitable motor as per IS 996-1979 working
on 220V AC 50 Hz single phase, dynamically and statistically balanced blowers
make the unit least vibrant with minimum noise (DB) level.

‘MSI’ Air Curtain: These are a modern device which, when installed on a
door, forms an invisible curtain of continuous air and thus prevents escape of
conditioned air and entry of outside hot, humid, dirty and unwanted polluted air.
The cabinets of Air curtain are made of cold rolled M.S. sheet. The blowers are
made of high quality aluminum sheets, duly balanced both statically as well as
dynamically on computerized digital balancing machines. Designed to provide

Steam Sterilizer Horizontal High Pressure Cylindrical: This sterilizer is
based on the principal of downward of displacement of air which is most
economical method of obtaining the sterilization.
Triple walled, with rugged and leak proof construction. Inner chamber is made
of thick plate of Stainless Steel 304 quality. Outer chamber is also made of
thick Stainless Steel The steam is lined on the outer side and made of 304
quality Stainless steel with asbestos sheet or glass wool which prevents heat
losses due to radiation and is covered by strong rolled steel sheet duly painted.
Boiler is made from thick stainless steel sheet suitable located under the
sterilizer. High grade flanged type heating elements are placed in from side for
easy replacement etc. Fitted with water gauge made of glass for water level,
safety valve, water inlet and drain. Provided with self locking safety door which
cannot be opened when the chamber is under pressure. The clutch mechanism
automatically disengages the threads of the radial locking system for precluding
and eventuality of accident when the chamber is under pressure. A heat resistant
neoprene rubber gasket is provided for totally safety of the instrument. Provided
with electrically operated PIEZOSTAT, which economics the power
consumption and limits the use of release valve which would frequently blow
steam into the room. It cuts off the power supply to heaters when the set
pressure is achieved and re- energises the heater when pressure falls down.
Two separate valves are provided for evacuating air and steam from inner
chamber and jacket. A steam trap is fitted in the chamber discharge line to
eliminate the condensate automatically. Panel consist of pressure control
switch, main on/off switch, Indicators, relays etc. the sterilizer is provided with
triple safety. First with pressure control switch, Two nos. spring loaded safety
valves, and a dead weight safety valve. A PLUG SCREEN prevents the
discharge line from choking. And it can easily be removed for cleaning. A
power full ejector circulates the air throughout the chamber.

Steam sterilizer Rectangular High Pressure.
Same as cylindrical High Pressure steam sterilizer but in rectangular
shape: Outside made of Heavy Duly rolled steel/ stainless Steel, inside of thick
Stainless Steel, triple walled. Door made of Thick Stainless Steel. Properly
insulated Steam Generator is made of Heavy duly stainless Steel. Pressure
control device is fitted in all electrically operated sterilizer. Provided with “
Piezostat” (Pressure control Device). It cut off the power supply to the when the
set pressure is achieved and re-energise the heating elements when pressure
falls below the set point.
Boiler is made from thick stainless steel sheet suitable located under the
sterilizer. High grade flanged type heating elements are placed the from side for

‘MSI’ BOD BODI-103: BOD Incubator Automatic this is a special type of
incubator designed to meet the requirements for incubation of biochemical
oxygen demand (BOD) on water & sewage. Also recommended for
preservation of vaccines at low temp and study of enzymatic digestion
processes and other tests demanding constant and uniform low temperatures.
The unit is highly suitable for work at temp below as well as above the ambient.
These Incubators are being used as Environmental Study and Growth Chambers
by incorporating Lighting & Humidification Systems. BOD Automatic consists
of a triple walled chamber fitted with cooling and heating systems. Inside walls
are of s. s. sheet and outside MS sheet nicely enamel painted. Mounted on
Caster wheels. Glass wool insulation prevents heat losses. Full view inner glass
door allows inspection of samples without disturbing temperature of chamber.
Special Features of MSI Automatic BOD Incubators are:
Temperature range 5 deg. To 50 deg. C uniform cooling coils
embedded in the walls. Temperature Uniformity at Operating 20 deg.C
is +/-1 deg.
Forced air circulation, ensures uniformity of the temperature.
Sensitive thermostatic temperature control. A safety thermostat cuts
out heaters even on failure of automatic heat control.
Study Refrigeration unit working in conjunction with a low wattage
heater for BOD work.
Selection switches to work either above or below room temperature.
When working above the room temperature, the selective switch by
pass the compressor circuit and energize a high wattage heater.

‘MSI’ Hybridization Oven : - These double walled units have outer chamber
of MS sheet duly painted and inner of s. s. temperature range from 5 deg. C
above ambient to 90 deg. C is controlled thought digital PID Temp Indicator
cum controller with an acc of +/- 0.5 deg.C. An air circulation fan is also

‘MSI’ Water Bath 6/12 Hole: Thermostatic Water bath Double walled. The
bath is constructed double walled inside made of s. s. and outside of M.S. sheet
duly painted with Powder coating paint provided with 25mm Mineral Wool
insulation on five sides. The temperature range of the water bath is+5 deg. C
above room temperature to 100 deg. C with an acc of 0.5deg.C. The temperature
is controlled by a Hydraulic type thermostat room temp to 80 deg. C with max.
temp. 100 deg. C sensitivity of +/- 0.5 deg. C. Heating elements are made of
copper nickel plated tubular type and approximately extend the full length of the
bath. Control panel is provided at the lower portion of the bath consisting of two

several sizes of round bottom flask in mantle of each size to provided uniform
heating. Bigger sizes of mantles have two or three heating circuits so that upper
circuits could be switched off when small size Flask is heated or when liquid
level drops These multi-sized mantles have heating surface knitted in our
Factory from woven fiber glass cloth with the heating elements covered in fiber
glass sleeve.

‘MSI’ Circulatory Water Bath : A highly in demand instrument where water
is required to be circulated to some external source through an FHP pump. Most
useful for circulating water to Abbe Refractometer, Condenser coils &
fermentors etc. etc. Temperature range as per the customer requirements varies
form 0-70 deg.C. Temperature is controlled by digital Temperature Indicator
cum controller of acc. +/- 1 deg.C. Inner chamber made of s. s. and outer
chamber made of M.S. Sheet duly painted. The gap in between the walls is
insulated with high grade Glass Wool insulation. The Refrigeration unit is
housed under the bath Cabinet and the whole unit is mounted on castor wheels
for easy movement. The water is circulated by a heavy duty FHP Pump fitted
inside the cabinet. Separates/witch for pump operation is provided. The
circulating pump helps in external circulation and also keeping the internal
water temperature uniformity in the chamber. Two nozzles one for water inlet
and other for water outlet are provided for easy fitting of the support
instruments in which water is to be circulated. Separate Switch for Cooling unit,
Digital Temperature Indicator cum controller, Switch for Circulating Pump and
Indicator for various operations are all housed in a nicely made Panel. The Lid
is also of double walled insulated with high grade Glass wool. (In short it is a
Chest type Deep freezer). Temperature range 0-70 deg. C. Tank cap. 12-15 lit

‘MSI’ MUFFEL Furnace MF-65: The casing is made of thick mild steel sheet
reinforced with iron angles, riveting screw joints and welding wherever
necessary and painted in attractive powder coating paint. Heating chamber
consists of rectangular horizontal totally enclosed muffle bracket. Heating
elements are of made of Kanthal or Nichrome wires wound externally on the
muffle and embedded in best quality high temperature embedding cement.

For temperature 1150 deg. C outer body furnace is made of thick mild steel duly
painted and fitted with angle frame. Inside chamber is of grooved refractory for

‘MSI’ VACUUM OVEN VO-175: For use in dehydration, moisture
determinate- on and other operations requiring reduced temperature, low pressure
and vacuation of fumes. The oven chamber is made of thick s.s. sheet and
outside mild steel painted with stove enameled. The door clamp makes it
possible to use the vacuum oven as a low pressure oven i.e. for internal pressure
not exceeding 5 lbs /square inch , which facilitates rapid &complete interchange
of gases.With hand screw for tightening, the door clamp bears centrally on the
door at four points on its frame. Seating is simply and quickly accomplished by
light rotation of the door into position and final Adjustment by tightening the

painted and inner wall made up of heavy gauge s. s. sheet. The gap between
inner and outer wall is filled with high grade glass wool to avoid thermal loss.
Besides outer double walled door, a full view inner glass door allows inspection
of test samples without disturbing the inner chamber conditions. Unit is
supplied with three adjustable perforated shelves. Temp range from 5 deg. To
50 deg. C +/- 1 deg. C is controlled by digital temp indicator cum controller

a compact instrument designed for accurate determinations of melting points of
solid samples. The unit consists of a built-in magnetic stirrer, and electronic
controller for adjusting the rate of heating of silicon oil bath, an ON/OFF
switch, a pilot lamp, magnifier, a glare free illuminated background, a high/low
range selector switch and a digital temp indicator with PT -100 sensor. The
outer body is made of 304 grade s. s. The silicon bath consists of a plain
cylindrical container of corning glass having capacity about 200ml. It is fitted
with a special type of oil immersion heater. The rate of heating of the bath can
be precisely adjusted by the controller on the panel. The tips of the capillaries
filled with sample powders can be kept suspended in the oil bath through the

‘MSI’ Tissue floating Bath TFWB-118:-This bath is designed to remove the
wrinkles and distortion produced in embedded tissue sections by the slicing
action of the microtome knife. The clinical technicians or pathologists deposit
the sections of the embedded tissue on the surface of the warm water bath where
they quickly soften ,unfold and flatter out , supported by the surface tension
.Each section can then be lifted out o n a microscope slide and set on the board
edge of they bath ,where gentle heat dries them gradually. The black interior of
the bath enables the operator to examine the near transport sections with ease.
The exterior is attractively finished in white backed enamel. Fiberglass between

‘MSI’ IR Moisture Balance IBM-22:- It consist of a 250 Watt IR lamp, a
sensitive torsion balance, and an auto transformer all housed in a compact
cabinet made of solid cast aluminum, having robust design. The infrared
radiation from the lamp is used for heating the sample. The temp. is controlled
by the Auto transformer. The sensitive torsion balance uses magnetic damping
to damp the vibrations of the pan.
The instrument is directly calibrated in percentage of moisture between 0% and

wide range of industries for their varied need. Ultrasonic Power at high
frequency-normally 30 KHz (also 23 KHz or 40 KHz) is fed to piezo electric
crystals. The electrical power is converted to mechanical vibrations by these
piezo electric transducers (PZT). The transducers are bounded to the bottom of
the s. s. stand containing cleaning solutions. The mechanical vibrations are
transferred to the liquid through the tank surface. These intense vibrations create
microscopic bubbles known as cavities in the liquids. The cavities thus formed

‘MSI’ Bomb Calorimeter: For Determination of Calorific Value of Liquids &
solids. Designed in accordance with the Specifications of the Institute of
Petroleum and the British Standard Institution
Construction: Bomb body machined from corrosion resistant stainless steel
alloy. Each bomb tested at a pressure of 300kg/cm2 for 10 minutes. Colorimeter
vessel & water jacket is made of chromium-planted copper/s. s. Offset stirrer
precludes heat from motor to calorimeter vessel. High mechanical standard.
BOMB CALORIMETER OUTFIT: - Provides a simple and inexpensive
method for determination of heat of combustion organic matter and the calorific
value & sulphur content of solid & liquid fuel. The outfit supplied is complete
for always as per the method recommended by British Standard Institution BS
1016. All parts of the outfit have been finished and tested according to the
specifications laid down by Institute of Petroleum and British Standard
Institution.
BOMB:- The body and lid are machined from corrosion resisting steel;
satisfying the special swinging and bend tests for inter crystalline corrosion and
having food high temperature properties. The interior of the Bomb has been
maintained cylindrical throughout its length. The capacity is approximately
300ml. The metal-to-metal seal between the body and lid is backed by a sealing
ring. The closure ring is made of other corrosion resisting s. s. And hand
tightening of the closure ring is sufficient to ensure perfect gas tight sealing.
The Bomb is provided with a high pressure Schrader value that simplifies the
operation considerably. The value opens and allows filling of Bomb by Oxygen
because of Oxygen pressure from Cylinder. It closes when pressure from
Oxygen Cylinder is cut off.
Two electrodes are incorporated in the lid of the Bomb and in each of these a
saw cut is provided so that the ignition wire can be gripped by the sliding
sleeves fitted on the electrodes.
TESTING OF BOMB:- Each Bomb is tested before its leaves the factory, in
accordance with the requirements of the Institute of Petroleum (IP 12/63T
Appendix 1) and a work certificate is issued with each Bomb. This certificate
gives the results of hydraulic testing under a pressure of 300 atmospheres (4400

CALORIMETER VESSEL: - The vessel is made of s. s./ copper N. P. It
includes a bomb support that ensures proper positioning of Bomb in the vessel.
WATER JACKET:- The outer container of Jacket is made of s. s. / copper

the string Unit while the other a clip for holding the thermometer. (In Digital
model this rod is not supplied) An ebonite cover the top. A terminal block is
fitted to the top of the outer container so that connections can be made from the

OFF SET STIRRER: The stirring mechanism supplied gives sufficient turbulence for
effective stirring, whilst no heat is imparted to the Calorimeter water. It consists of an
impeller stirrer driven at a constant speed of approximately 800 rpm. The offer
arrangement whereby the motor drives the impeller via a belt precludes any possibility of
heat transference between motor and calorimeter vessel contents.
BOMB FIRING UNIT, VIBRATOR, and TIMER AND ILLUMINATOR
WITH MAGNIFIER: Outfit, for firing a calorimeter bomb AC supply mains
(230 V 50 Hz). It consists of two parts via/ the Electrical Box and Vibrator –
Timer Illuminator and Magnifier Unit. The electrical box is provided with
terminals for stirrer unit, Vibrator-timer Illuminator and for the Bomb fuse wire.
