Any 2006 Sony Mobile Head units displaying the SAT Radio

Ready logo have the ability to integrate seamlessly with

either XM or Sirius satellite radio services.

“DRAG & DRIVE”

Sony has created a way for music fans to have large, personalized

collections of songs in their vehicles without the hassle of

scattered CDs or MP3 players. With the Sony MEX-1GP, your

music is stored on the detachable faceplate of your stereo. When

the faceplate is removed from the receiver and connected to a

Windows®enabled PC, it is recognized as an external drive. With

the provided USB cable, users can quickly transfer and save MP3

and WMA files to the faceplate.

Car manufacturers typically wait until the end to

decide where the speakers are going to be placed.

Unfortunately, by that time, it usually ends up being

where they will fit! Sometimes it’s in the dash, low in

the door, maybe even in the kick panel playing to your

ankles and most likely in a shape that is far from the

traditional “round.”

Over the years, vehicles have had an increase in the

“out-of-round” type speakers that add to the difficulties

of installing an aftermarket speaker. Not only do you

need a specific size and shape, but now you may

encounter special requirements for mounting, too!

Sony Mobile includes a universal mounting adaptor

with the XS-V4642A to make installation a snap, no

matter what your requirement: Surface mount, flush

mount, even under mount with or without tabs! It

really can’t get any easier….unless you talk your

friends into installing them for you!

Hey, Captain! Did you ever notice that the opening for a radio in your helm is

usually directly beneath a cup holder? And to make it worse, the cup holder

has drain holes in it!

Every Sony Marine head unit comes with a drip panel just to aid in the fight

against moisture intrusion. On the inside, we added a conformal coating to

the entire circuit board to further protect against corrosion.

The faceplate is protected, too! We have treated it with a UV coating to

prevent yellowing and fading. Even the display was redesigned specifically

for outdoor use. There is a negative segment, monochrome display that is

viewable even in direct sunlight, and the red key illumination means you

won’t miss a preset!

MARINE

New for 2006, there is a fresh new

look, with enhanced function to our

wired remote controller.

Water and weather resistant, the RM-X55M

can easily find itself at home on sail or

powerboats of any kind!

SAT Ready means that you get full scrolling text

read out from XM or SIRIUS Satellite Radio, as
