Front End Designer Technical Test
This test is designed to allow you to showcase your web development skills, please read the
instructions carefully before starting.
The test should take you about one day but take as much time over it as you want.
Restrictions
• Please don’t use any front end CSS frameworks (Bootstrap/Foundation etc.)
• Please don’t use any front end JS frameworks (React, Angular etc.)
• Please don’t put this on a publicly accessible web page – provide your code as a zip file or via
dropbox / WeTransfer or similar.
• You can use jQuery, but please don’t use any other JS libraries.
• You can use SASS, LESS or any other CSS extension language.
Test
Please include a readme.md file with tools / IDE etc. used and any notes on approach or any
other comments on the test.
Design
The design should match the Sketch/PDF provided and work on a range of devices.
Functionality
The page should work if placed into a web server without any additional processes running, (if
using a build process please ensure that it populates a deployment folder at the top level and this
has been populated prior to submission).
A visitor to the page should be able to:
• Add the product to their shopping cart
• Display a list of items in the shopping cart
• Delete an item from the shopping cart
• Remember items when the page is refreshed
Optional bonus tasks
• Zoom function on the product image.
• Rating functionality
• Check the visitors’ location and display it on the screen.
• Completely responsive
• JavaScript unit tests.
• Use a task runner
