1. Introduction
The parkingFriendly application gives users the option to find and pay for parking meters through their mobile
device by utilizing payment processors such as Paypal. This document will provide instructions for using the
application to create an account, log in, view balance, find and pay for parking.

2. Quick Start Guide
1.

Log onto the parkingFriendly website, currently found at
“http://nrs-projects.humboldt.edu/~parkingFriendly/home.php”. The login screen will be brought up
with the option to sign up.

Click on the Sign Up button located under the Login button.

3. Fill out the information to create your account, click register and proceed to login using your new
credentials .

4.Once logged in you will be able to view all available parking meters in your area as well as add credit to
a meter, add credit to your account, update your account, pay for a parking ticket, and logout.

5. Crediting a meter, input meter ID and amount desired to upload to the meter.

6. To update your account settings navigate to the parkingFriendly welcome page (instruction 4), and click the
Update Account Settings button. This will bring you to the screen shown below where you can update your account
information.

7. To pay for a parking ticket issued by a member of either school parking enforcement or city parking
enforcement, navigate from the welcome page (instruction 4), select the Pay Ticket button which will take you to
the page shown below. From here you are able to input user, ticket and payment info to complete the transaction.

The parkingFriendly application can be accessed through most internet browsers, though we recommend using
Google Chrome or Safari.

Login to the parkingFriendly web page. The login screen will be brought up.
Sign up or Enter your E-Mail and Password.
Tap the Login button.
Add credit to your account or if credit is already available skip to step 5.
Select meter and add amount you would like to pay.
Never worry about coins again.

Enter your E-Mail and Password.

Select ‘Pay Ticket’ at the bottom on the screen.

1. Troubleshooting
1. Missing or Incorrect Password or E-Mail
A message will be displayed in the event incorrect login information is entered. Try again with proper credentials
to access the http://nrs-projects.humboldt.edu/~parkingFriendly/home.php website. If trouble is encountered,
retrieve proper login information directly from the website.
