Helpfile for the validation of SBtab files
Creating SBtab files is relatively easy, but one needs to pay attention to details. Following the SBtab
syntax is important to enable tasks like the automated conversion between SBtab and SBML format.
The SBtab online validator helps you check your SBtab files. After uploading an SBtab file and
pushing the "submit" button, you will obtain a list of warning messages indicating the possible
issues found in your SBtab file.
If the parser cannot recognise your file as an SBtab table, you will see the error message:
“The file that you uploaded is no SBtab file. Please only use .tsv, .csv, or .xls format. If it still
does not work out, please consult the SBtab specification.”
In this case, please verify that your file shows one of the supported file formats (.csv, .tsv, .xls). If
the problem persists, it is likely that there is some very general problem with the syntax of your file.
