MONITOR. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
TERMS USED IN WARNINGS: The term “Receiver" corresponds to “Parents
Unit” and the term “Transmitter” corresponds to “Baby‘s Unit” in the rest of this
instruction booklet.
- The AnyWear Compact Monitor is not intended to replace responsible and
proper parental supervision.
- Check your child's activity at regular intervals as this monitor will not alert
parents to the silent activities ot a child.
- Before using your AnyWear Compact Monitor:
- Read and follow all instructions carefully.
- Read and observe all warnings on the product and in this
instruction booklet.
. To prevent entanglement with the adapter cord, NEVER place the cord in or
near a crib or playpen. DO NOT place the Receiver anywhere its AC adapter
cord are within reach of children.
- ALWAYS KEEP THE TRANSMITTER, RECEIVER AND AC ADAPTERS OUT OF
REACH OF CHlLDREN.
- This product is not intended to be used as a medical monitor and its use
should not replace adult supewision. It is important that an adult stay within
the viewing range of the AnyWear Compact Monitor at all times during use.
- It is essential to check reception regularly. Please see the Testing Reception
section for complete instructions
' The Receiver is intended for indoor use only.
- NEVER use the Transmitter or Receiver near water. For example do not use
near a bathtub, bathroom sink, laundry tub, kitchen sink in a wet basement,
etc.
- Always unplug the AC adapters from wall outlets during long periods
of non-use.
- Position the Transmitter, Receiver and AC adapters to allow adequate
ventilation and prevent these components from overheating.
- To prevent overheating, keep the Transmitter, Receiver and AC adapters away
from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other
appliances (including amplifiers) which produce heat. Also keep these
components out of direct sunlight.
~ Use only the AC adapters provided. Use of any other adapters may damage
the Transmitter and/or Receiver, Plug the AC adapters into standard
household current only (120V AC outlet)! To prevent entanglement and
overheating, DO NOT use extension cords.
0The AC adapters may become slightly warm to the touch during operation.
This is normal.
- Position the AC adapter cords so that they are not walked on or pinched by

items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at AC
adapter plugs, wall plugs, and the point at which the cords attach to the
Transmitter and Receiver.
- This product should be serviced only by qualified service personnel at Dorel
Juvenile Group when:
- An AC adapter or its plug is damaged,
- The Transmitter or Receiver have fallen,
- Liquid has spilled into the Transmitter or Receiver or
- The Transmitter or Receiver do not appear to operate normally or exhibit a
marked change in performance
- DO NOT attempt to service this product beyond that described in the
Troubleshooting section at the end of these instructions. All other servicing
should be referred to qualified personnel at Dorel Juvenile Group.
NOTE: The LEDs emit IR (infra red) light that is not harmful.

Installing Your AnyWear Compact Monitor
Before You Begin: What [0 know before you get started:
Ac Adapters: The two Ac adapters included are not identical, Match the picture
on each AC adapter with the Parent’s Unit and Baby's Unit,
Choose Locations:
IMPORTANT: When choosing locations [0 set up the Baby’s Units and Parent’s Units
Follow these guidelines:
For best sound quality and safety, place Baby’s Unit 4 to 6’ (1 5 to 2 m) away fiom
the baby
- Be certain the Parent’s Unit and Babyfs Unit are set on the same channel (both
Units are preset on channel lwhen packaged).
- Check reception regularly.
' Adjust the volume to a comfortable level for your environment
-Use the Parent’s Unit far enough away fi'om the Baby’s Unit so as not to get
Feedback.
~ During use ofthe monitor, ifthe sound quality deteriorates you may be reaching the
limits oFthe monitor’s range. lFthis happens, you Will need to move the Parent’s Unit
in closer proximity to the Baby’s Unit
To Set Up the Baby‘s Unit:
AWARNING
~Tu prevent entanglement only mount the Baby’s Unit in a location where it and its
AC adapter card are OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- DO NOT mount the Baby’s Unit directly above heating vents, other heat producing
sources or in direct sunlight.
-To prevent entanglement and overheating, NEVER use an extension cord

adapter. Connect the AC adapter into the
bottom oFtl-ie Babys Unit (Figure 1). if
desired, wrap the excess cord onto the
cord shortener provided. Connect the
AC adapter into a power outlet. Place the
Bahys Unit on a flat surface 4 to 6’ (1.5
to 2 m) away from the baby.

To Set Up the Parent’s Unit:
A CAUTION
-When using batteries, check hafleries regularly. Amber LED lndicatesihe batteries
are low. [10 NDT rely on Parent’s Uni‘t when batteries are low
NOTE: The Parent’s Unit may use either the
AC adapter or batteries. When plugged in, the
AC adapter will be the source of power.
2. For AC Power Use: Locate the Parent's
Unit and is AC adapter. Connect the AC
adapter into the side ofthe Parent’s Unit,

outlet (Figure 2).

For Battery Use: Rutate belt clip and
unscrew the screw at the back ofthe
Parent’s Unit (Figure 3) Pull chthe
battery door.
AAA Batteries: Insert three AAA batteries
(see positive and negative diagram on the
Parent’s Unit).
Rechargeable Batteries: Insert With Wires
at lower left, Plug connector into port.
Tuck wires in (Flgure 3a).

To Use the Baby's Unit and Parent’s Unit:

to the On position, Choose a. channel. Be
sure that the same channel is selected on
both units (Figure 4).

6.The Page feature on the Baby’s Unit causes the Parent’s Unit to beep, Use pager to
find misplaced Parent’s Unit. The pager beep will automatically shut oFFaFter a
brierpeiiod.
Sewre Sound lights:
7. The 4 sound lights on the Parent's Unit indicate the sound level ofthe baby. The
more noise your baby makes, the more sound lighis will illuminate.
Headphone, Belt Clip and Arm Band Feature:
8. The AnyWear Compact Monitor comes with a headphone part, belt tip and an arm
band, providing many options for hands Free use Belt elip rotates to become a stand so
Parent’s Unit can stand upright on flat surface.
In Range Indicator Feature:
9.The ln Range indicator Feature on the Parent’s Unit lets the parent know the quality
or’the connection between the Parent’s and Bahys LlniLs. Ifthe indicator is green,
there is a good connection, IFthe indicator is red, there is a poor connection.
CAUTION: Test the Parent’s Unit before each use. it is essential to check reception
regularly.
To Test the Reception:
lMPORTANT: The first time you use your Babys unit, go through the section ”rest the
Reteption" vvith two adults.
10. Place the Baby’s Unit at least 20) (5 m) awayirorn Parent’s Unit. Have an adult
speak into the Baby’s Unit at various levels (soft to loud) while another adult
checks the Parent’s Unit for the proper sound and reception. Try the Parent‘s Unit
in every location that it will he used it is best to Follow these guidelines for good
reception:

- Place your Baby/s Unit 4 to 6’ (is to 2 m) away from the baby.
« Be certain the Parent’s Unit and Babys Unit are set an the same channel.
~ Check reception regularly by following step 10 above.

of the monitor’s range. IFthis happens, you will need to move the Parent’s Unit in closer
proximity to the Babys Unit.
- lf one channel has poor reception try the other channel,
NOTE: lt ls possible for the Parent’s Unit to pickup sounds or interference from other
signal producing dew'ces including other audio or video monitors which broadcast in the
900 MHz range. To minimize this potential problem, two independent channels have
been provided
lfyou experience interference while using one channel setting, simply switch the Parent's
Unit and Baby’s Unit to another Channel, Selecting a channel is usually a one—time
adjustment. lfinterf'erence persisis on both channels, please refer to the
Troubleshooting section at the end ofthese instructions.
CAUTION: To protect your privacy, always turn the Baby’s Unit orrwhen not in use.
Always remember that you are using public airwaves. Sound may be broadcast to other
receiving devices. Conversations, even From rooms near by, may be broadcast
