FOR AGES 10 AND UP INSTRUCTIONS / PRECAUTONS TM General - Y our V ectron Ultralite mus t not be us ed if there is any damage to the AC adaptor, charging cord, charging s ocket, rechargeable battery, propeller, ring or other parts of the V ectron Ultralite. - Do not attempt to lift objects with your V ectron Ultralite. - V ectron Ultralite is a high tech precis ion ins trument and is vulnerable to mis us e P rotecting all components is an es s ential part of flight maintenance. AC Adaptor Important Information - T his toy is not intended for children under 3 years old. - T he ins truction manual contains important information and mus t be kept. - T his toy only operates with s upplied AC adaptor. - T he us e of the AC adaptor s hould be s upervis ed by an adult and examined regularly. - T his toy mus t not be us ed if there is any damage to the power cord, plug and other parts of the trans former. - T he AC adaptor mus t be dis connected before cleaning. TIPS: Battery Safety - Y our V ectron Ultralite is only to be charged under adult s upervis ion. - Never expos e the V ectron Ultralite battery pack to direct s un, hot areas , or fire as it may explode. - T he Ultralite charger and battery may become warm during charging. - T he Ultralite charging cord mus t be dis connected from the V ectron Ultralite when it is fully charged. - Never leave your V ectron Ultralite connected to the AC adaptor overnight. - Never overcharge the V ectron Ultralite as it can damage the rechargeable battery. Battery Care - F or maximum performance, always allow your battery of the V ectron Ultralite to drain before recharging. - Never charge a s econd time without dis charging firs t. T his will affect or damage the battery. - For your first flight, ensure there are no strong air currents from fans, air conditioners or open windows. - Adjust the trigger to find the correct position so your Vectron Ultralite will hover preventing it from flying too high or too low. It will take some practice to get the hang of it. - Always point the thrust transmitter towards your Vectron Ultralite to ensure a steady controllable flight. - Do not try to land your Vectron Ultralite on to the launch platform. Try to land on any open floor area. - Your Vectron Ultralite can also take off from any smooth flat surface. Do not try to take off from deep pile carpet or soft furniture. This may jam the propeller before take off. - Do not dis pos e of the battery in your regular hous ehold was te. - C ontact your local was te management officials for information on environmentally s ound dis pos al of rechargeable batteries . - If a battery leak develops , avoid contact with leaking fluid. P lace the damaged battery in a plas tic bag for proper dis pos al. - If fluid comes in to contact with s kin or eyes , was h with cool water for at leas t 15 mins . C harge Method NOT E S : - The red and green LED will blink alternately. It will take approximately 10 minutes to charge your Vectron Ultralite completely; at this point the green LED will flash continuously. - When your Vectron Ultralite is new or has not been flown for a long time it will take several charge/discharge cycles for the battery to reach its full flight time. CLOSE OPEN WA R NING : Never recharge your Vectron Ultralite a second time without having flown first. Continuous recharging without discharging first, will damage the Ultralite battery. Troubleshooting P roblem No power to the propeller. Y our V ectron Ultralite does not take off. Y our V ectron Ultralite does not res pond to the thrus t trans mitter. Battery Safety Guidelines P os s ible C aus e S olution - T o prevent battery leakage: B e s ure to ins ert batteries correctly. Y our AC Adaptor is the wrong type or damaged preventing it from charging your V ectron Ultralite. C ontact your s upport team at s ervice@ bhs ciencetech.com s tating the voltage and plug type required. Do not return your V ectron Ultralite to the retail s tore. P ower s witch is not turned on. S lide the power s witch to the ON pos ition. Y our Ultralite battery is not charged. C harge your battery fully before flying. T he propeller auto-s top feature is activated. T his feature is activated when the propeller is obs tructed by body parts or objects . If your V ectron Ultralite cras hes on to the floor, this may trigger the auto-s top feature as well. T he red and green LE D will blink alternately. R es et your V ectron Ultralite by s witching it off and turning it back on again to res ume flight. T he battery power is low. R echarge the battery fully. Y our V ectron Ultralite is not placed properly onto the launch platform. Y our V ectron Ultralite is out of range. T he green LE D does not come on which means there is no s ignal trans mis s ion. P lace your V ectron Ultralite properly s itting in the middle of the launch platform. T he trigger is not depres s ed far enough on the thrus t trans mitter. Depres s the trigger at leas t half way. batteries from product which is not going to be us ed for a long time. T he room may have drafts from windows , fans , air conditioner and ventilation s ys tems . Minimize the drafts before take off. Otherwis e the batteries may leak and caus e damage. Operator error. Wait for the red LE D to flas h before trying to take off. T he thrus t trans mitter battery is low. T he red LE D does not flas h after depres s ing the trigger. R eplace the 9V (6LR 61) Alkaline battery with new one. T he thrus t trans mitter battery is ins erted improperly. C heck and reins ert the battery with the proper polarity as per the markings in the holder. Y our V ectron Ultralite is out of range. Move clos er to your V ectron Ultralite. Y ou are outdoors or flying in a large room with high ceiling. F ly indoors with the appropriate ceiling height. III) Flying, Hovering and Landing Your Vectron Ultralite Contents - Never dis pos e of batteries in fire as this may caus e them to explode. P ower S witch (ON / OF F ) - Do not mix old and new batteries (replace all batteries at the s ame time). OFF ON C harging S ocket (Nickel-C admium) batteries (or equivalent). G reen LE D R ed LE D IMPORTANT: Ensure your Vectron Ultralite is fully charged for first time use and that you have a least 10 ft. (3 m) of clear area. - B atteries s hould be replaced by adult. - Do not mix Alkaline, s tandard (C arbon-Zinc) or rechargeable or equivalent type as recommended are to be us ed. R ing - Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. - Always remove exhaus ted or dead batteries from product. R emove - T he s upply terminals are not to be s hort-circuited. 1) With your V ectron Ultralite on the launch platform, unplug the charging cord. Auto-s top S afety P ropeller 2) S witch on your V ectron Ultralite. R echargeable B attery NOTE: After the red and green LED blink alternately, the red LED will start to flash slowly. At this time your Vectron Ultralite is ready for take off. L aunc h P latform - Make s ure battery compartment is s ecure. - Do not immers e battery operated toys . Wipe clean only. NOTE : The trans parent labels underneath the ring are for protection agains t the propeller. A damaged ring can be repaired with trans parent tape. S ome glues may damage the polyfoam ring. Attention to maximize the life of your Vectron Ultralite - Avoid continuous ly running at full power agains t a low ceiling, as this will s horten 15 meter the s aucers motor life. 3) P res s the trigger to control your V ectron Ultralite. - ns tead hover and s woop below ceiling height or fly outdoors if wind condition permits .
