QI PRISMTM Cal Node Manual Cal Node Manual Confidential Rev 0.1 1. Introduction 1.1 The Cal Node is a reference transmitter used in the TSI PRISMTM System The Cal Nodes provide information for use in locating individuals as well as information on system performance. 2. Unpacking 2.1 Carefully unpack the equipment. Immediately report any damages to the shipper. 3. FCC NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a residential environment This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: 0 Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. . Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. 0 Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. NOTICE: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user‘s authority to operate the equipment. Shielded interface cables and AC power cord, if any, must be used in order to comply with the emission limits. Battery Installation I Replacement 51 The Cal Node is shipped without the battery installed. To install or replace the battery, open the main cover. Disconnect the old battery and replace with a 3.6 V lithium battery size D. Be careful to observe the battery polarity. Close the cover and replace the screws 6. Cal Node Installation 6.1 During the FA, the exact locations for each Cal Node will be determined. Once the location has been determined, do not relocate the Cal Node without notifying TSI. The Cal Node should be mounted so that the antenna is directed vertically. 7. Alarms 7.1 The Cal Node has a low battery alarm signal which it transmits to the Cnode.
