No. 60-4249 Chaos Your RadloShack Chaos's rurique design is built to handle all sorts of indoor areas. The Chaos is perfect for children ages 4 it up. The Chaos operates in only one frequency (27 MHz). You cannot play with more than one radio control my at the same time that uses the same frequency. Note: Your C hates requires four AA batteries (not supplied) for power, and one 9V battery (not supplied) for its lmnsmitter. For the best performance and longest playing life. we recommend RadloShack alkaline batteries. INSTALLING BATTERIES Warning : Dispose of batteries promptly and properly: do not bury or burn them Cautions: Use only frmh batteries of the required size and recommended type. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types ofbaneries (shutdan‘l. alkaline. or reehalgeable). Dr rechargeable batteries of difl‘erent capacities. Never leave dead or weak batteries in the Chaos or the transmitter. If you will not be using the Chaos for a week or more, remove the batteries from both the transmitter and the Chaos. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts. In the Transmitter The tnmmitter requires one 9V battery (not supplied). For the best perfomtance and longest playing life, we recommend Radioshaek alkaline batteryl Follow these steps to install the transmitter's battery. 1. Press OPEN on the side of the trammltter and slide the battery compartment cover down to remove it. 2, Put the battery in the compartment according to the polarity symbols (+ and -)marked inside. 3. Replace the cover and be sure it snaps in . When the transmitters range decreases, replace its battery. In the Chaos The Chaos requires four AA batteries (not supplied) . For the best performance and longest playing life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries, Fallon these steps to install the Chloe's batteries. Set ON/OFF on the bottom of the Chaos to OFF. Push back the latch on the battery compartment oover until lhe battery compartment box jumps out. then grasp the box to remove it. Put the batteries in the compartment according to the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside. Replace the battery box and be sure it snaps in. ._, DRIVING THE CHAOS Warning :Never play with your Chaos in the street. Follow these steps to drive the Chaos. 1. Set ON/OFF on the bottom of the Chaos to ON. 2. Hold down the trigger of the transmitter to let the Chaos move forward for a distance with LED light inside the cabin, and release a half down the trigger again immediate, then it will stand upright to spin with rear wheels revolving in the same direction & with LED light inside the cabin. 3. Release the trigger to stop the Chaos. 4. Hold down the trigger to let the Chaos move forward for a distance with LED light inside the cabin. and release it hold down the trigger again immediate to make it backward with LED light inside the cabin Note: Your Chaos stops when it runs into obstacles, but the motor keeps running. When this happens, hold dun-n the trigger on the transmitter to let it reverse in circle, or move the Chaos by hand. 5. When you finish diving the Chaos, set OFF/ON on the bottom of Chaos to OFF. HELPFL‘L HINTS These hints can help you get the most enjoyment from your Chaos. Running your Chaos continuously for long periods generates high heat levels. Heat causes wear and tear on the motor. To help keep heat levels down, when your Chaos's battery run down. let the (ihnos cool at least IO minutes before installing new batteries. if the Chaos‘s motor runs but the Chaos does not respond to the transmitter, move the transmitter closer to the Chaos and try again. ltsomeone uses a CB nearby. it might interfere with control of the Chaos. If this happens. move the Chaos away from the CB. You cannot operate your Chaos near devices with transmitters that use the same frequency as the Chaos (27 MHZ). ll'the Chaos moves slowly, and you have installed fresh batteries. check the wheel mechanisms for any lint. thread. hair, or dust. CARE AND MAINTENANCE To care for your RadioShack Chaos so you can enjoy it for years Do not expose the Chaos or its transmitter to temperature extremes, and do not store them in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Wipe the Chaos and its transmitter with a damp cloth occasionally to keep them looking new. Do not drive the Chaos through puddles or mud, on a wet floor, or in sand. rain or snow. These may damage iL be nor leave the car or its transmitter outside overnight. Night dampness can damage their electronic circuits. To protect the cars mechanisms fi'om lint and hair. do not drive the car on carpet. Modifying or tampering with the Chaos‘s or the transmitter's internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate the cat‘s warranty and void your FCC authorization to operate them li'thc Chaos does not work properly. take it to your local RadioShnck store for assistance. THE l'CC WANTS YOU TO KNOW Your Chaos or its transmitter might cause TV or radio interference even when they are operating properly To determine whether your Chaos or its transmitter is causing the interference. release the transmitter‘s control trigger and turn off your Chaos. if the interference goes away, your Chaos or its transmitter is causing it Try to eliminate the interference by: Moving your Chaos and its transmitter away from the TV or radio Contrasting your local RadioShock store for help If you cannot eliminate the interference. the FCC requires that you stop using your Chaos and its transmitter.
