Ecolab Hand Hygiene Monitoring System User Manual Badge Activate the badge by sliding the power switch into the ON position. The badge will immediately begin looking for a Data collection station to synchronize its time and obtain configuration values, as evidenced by the periodic blinking of the green LED. Bring the badge within several feet of a Data collection station to allow them to exchange information. Snap the door that covers the switch into place and the badge is ready to be issued to healthcare personnel. NOTE: Badges must be worn at waist level, or higher, to ensure proper communication with the dispenser, zone-monitors, and Data collection station. There are two LEDs on the badge that are visible to the wearer: a red one and a green one. The green LED indicates RF communication. It will blink when exchanging information with a dispenser during a compliance event, and when offloading its accumulated information to a Data collection station. The red LED indicates a low-battery or system fault. If the red LED comes on, solid or blinking, they should exchange their badge for a new one immediately.
