Fisher easy-Drive Electric Actuators ® ™ Low Power, High Reliability Fisher easy-Drive Electric Actuators ® ™ Fisher D4 valve with easy-Drive electric actuator Environmental Stewardship Fisher® easy-Drive™ electric actuators are specifically designed for upstream natural gas applications. They can be installed on Fisher D4 or D3 valves and give you the ability to use proven, robust, globe valve technology while protecting the environment from methane gas venting. Fisher D3 valve with easy-Drive electric actuator Benefits n No venting of product to atmosphere. n Eliminates maintenance issues arising from wet or dirty well gas. n Highly responsive—valve strokes from fully open to fully closed in less than five seconds. n Easy to commission. Calibrate by opening and Improved Reliability Gas quality is not always consistent and particulates can be a maintenance problem for pneumatic actuators. Electric actuators avoid this maintenance issue. Improved Profitability Traditionally, valves and instrumentation in natural gas applications have been powered by the pressure of the gas itself. This means that gas must be vented to atmosphere—the same gas that would be otherwise sold. Technical Fisher easy-Drive electric actuator specifications include low energy requirements of 12 or 24VDC operation, maximum current draw of 3.5A when moving, and an at-rest power draw below 1W. The control signal can be Modbus RTU (RS-485), 4-20 mA, 1-5V, or dry contact, configurable within the Modbus registers. Operating temperature range is -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F.) The easy-Drive electric actuator can control pressures up to 4250 psi on the D4 valve and maintain a Class IV shutoff indefinitely without power. closing—no switches to set. n No power is required to maintain shutoff. The unit can be disconnected and seat load will remain. n Easy to use. n Diagnostics available over Modbus. Complete Electric Wellhead from Emerson Process Management Fully integrated and supported electric wellhead solutions are available from your local Emerson sales office. n Fisher electric level solution—easy-Drive electric actuator and L2e electric level controller n ROC, FloBoss,™ and ControlWave RTUs and flow computers n Rosemount™ pressure, level, and temperature sensors n Daniel™ and Micro Motion™ flow meters is exactly what we are looking “Tforheoneasy-Drive our wells with dirty and wet gas. ” - HSE manager, Natural Gas Producer Yellow and green represent responsible natural gas control backed by Fisher product reliability. Flexible Control Modbus RTU (RS-485), 4-20mA, 1-5V, or dry contact. Ease of Use Calibrate by opening and closing. No switches to set. Low Power Consumption Capable of being operated from solar charged battery systems at 12 or 24VDC. Reliable Brushless DC Motor Motor and controls are designed for remote field operation. Sealed Gearbox The permanently lubricated gearbox eliminates the need for cleaning and regreasing. Explosion-Proof Housing Approved for Class I, Division 1, Groups C, D (Zone 1, IIA EXd, ATEX). IP66/NEMA 4X. Field-Selectable Flow Rates FloPro feature allows field adjustment of capacity without changing the trim on D3 valve. Easy and Safe Maintenance Deep-bore hammer nut for easy removal of actuator/ bonnet assembly to access the plug and seat. Maintains thread engagement until after process boundary is broken for user safety. Excellent Emissions Control ENVIRO-SEAL™ packing technology provides an improved stem seal to minimize fugitive emissions.
