Battery Information
Ourrechargeablebatterypacksaredesignedandconstructedtothehigheststandards
withintheindustry.
However,therearelimitationstohowlongabatterycanoperateorbestoredbefore
needingreplacement.
Manyfactorsaffecttheactuallifecycleofabatterypack,suchasheat,cold,harsh
environmentalconditionsandseveredrops.
Whenbatteriesarestoredoversix(6)months,someirreversibledeteriorationinoverall
batteryqualitymayoccur.Storebatteriesdischargedinadry,coolplace,removedfromthe
equipmenttopreventlossofcapacity,rustingofmetallicpartsandelectrolyteleakage.
Whenstoringbatteriesforoneyearorlonger,theyshouldbechargedanddischargedat
leastonceayear.Ifanelectrolyteleakageisobserved,avoidanycontactwithaffectedarea
andproperlydisposeofthebattery.Batteriesmustbechargedwithinthe32°to95°F(0°to
+35°C)ambienttemperaturerange.
Replacethebatterywhenasignificantlossofruntimeisdetected.

3 Getting Started
3-1 Power On/Off the System
1. Pushthepowerbuttontoturnonthesystemandhold4~5secondstoturnoffthe
system.
Note:Forbesttouchperformance,removetheprotectiveplasticoverlayfromthe
LCDscreenbypeelingitawayfromoneofthecorners.Besuretouseasoft
pointingdeviceorfingertiptoavoidscratchingthescreenduringnormaluse.
3-2 Installing the Hand Strap
1. Attachthehandstraptothebackofthesystemandfastenthescrews(x2)to
secureit.

1. Loosenthepenscrewcounterclockwiseonthebatterycover.
2. Toremovethebatterypulltheplastictabasideandgentlyliftthebatteryoutof
thesystem.
3. Toinstallthebatteryputthebatteryintheslotandpushuntilthebatteryclicks
intoplace.

1. ConnecttheUSBACadaptertotheconnectoronthebottomofthecradlecharger
andthepoweroutlet.
