Operating instructions
To control your exposure and ensure compliance With the
occupational/controlled environment exposure limits always
adhere to the lollowrng procedures.
Guidelines:
0 Do not remove the RF Exposure Label lrom the device.
0 User awareness instructions should accompany device
when transterred to other users.
0 Do not use this device iithe operational requirements
described herein are not met
Operating instructions:
0 Transmit no more than the rated duty lactor of 50% oi the
time. To transmit (talk), push the PushaToaTalk (PTT) button.
To receive calls. release the PTT button. Transmitting 50 %
oi the time. or less. is important because this radio generates
measurable RF energy exposure only when transmitting (in
terms of measuring tor standards compliance)

How to use this user manual
This manual introduces the basic operation of Kydera
compatible DMR/Artaiog handheld transceiver
However. your dealer or system administrator may already
preset features or this radio based on your working type and
requirement Please consult with your dealer or system
administrator about (he delalls.
For your convenience and easy iarniliar with this radio. the
icons below are used iordistinguishing operable and available
leatures tor analog mode and digital mode
0 This icon indicates the function is only available in Analog
mode
Qihis icon indicates the iunction is only available in Digital
mode
[-lln any operating screen, you can press this button to
return back 10 Home Screen.
Note: There is no spectal icon shown forleatures lha| workable
in both Analog and Digital mode.
You can check with your dealer or system administrator for
the tollowing:

Preparation tor operating the radio
Please assemble your radio by luilowing steps
t) The battery pack is not charged at the iactory, charge it
hrstiy berore use
2) Check the charger indicator, when charging is completed
the indicator lights up solid green
3) install the battery to the radio
4) install the antenna
5) install the belt clip
5) install the general lnlerface cover (dust cover)
7) Switch the radio power ON and ad)ust the volume
Charging the battery pack
Please use charger, adaptor and battery pack supplied only
by us The charger can indicate the charging status

Charging steps @-
1 Plug the AC adaptor into an AC outlet, like arrow (1)
2 Plug the AC adapter cable into the adapterjack located
on the back or the charger, like arrow(2)
3 Place the battery pack or the radio with a battery pack into
the charger. like arrow (3)
4 The indicator lights up solid red and charging starts. When
charging is completed. the indicator lights up solid green.
Then remove the battery pack or the radio trorn the charger.
Note For optimum battery lite and periorrnance. charge the
battery pack or the radio (with a battery pack) at least 12
hours before initial use.

Note:
‘l. it is normal it the charger LED nashes red for a short time
when the charger is iust connected.
2 If a second battery is replaced to charge. please wait until
the current battery is tully charged (lights green).ltthe charger
indicator tlashes red during charging:
(1) Please check ilthe battery pack is well connected with
the charger.
(2) The battery pack is damaged ortailed
(3) The surrounding temperature is too high or too low.

useing the charger

2 Sliding the battery pack to the battery slot till the battery
lock to the right place like diagram 2

To remove the battery. turn ott the radio nrstly. Then slide the
battery latch upwards to unlock the battery. like diagram 3.
Install the general interface cover (dust cover)
1 Remove two screws (as per diagram 1). then open the lack
stopper.
2 Plug the accessory into according lack ot the radio as per
diagram). and then press it lightly tor well contact.
3 To remove the accessory by plugging it out as per
diagramta: direction.
Reminder: it the installation can't be use. please check it the
accessory is appropriate or installed incorrect
Installing the antenna
Turn a" the radio. holding the base 0! antenna. and (hen
screw ll into the connector on the (op 07 transceiver and turn
clockwise until secure.
To remove the antenna, turn a" the radio firstlyr and rotate
it anticlockwlse
Installing the belt clip
Allgn the belt Cllp lo the two screw holes on We back 0' the
radlc‘ and then tighten the screws by usmg speelal screw
drlver.
To remove the belt Cllp, unscrew the screws.
Turning the radio ON
Turn the ON / OFF/ Volume Control Knob clockwise unlll a
5|le Sound ls heard Then you hear a Conflrmallon sound and
a welcome Image is shown on the radlo cllsplay.
Note: There is no souno lf the ratio prompt tones or alerttone
is disabled is lithe raoio is not power on, please check the
battery firstly to make sure lt ls installed properly lithe radio
is sllll not power on, please Contact your dealer.
To turn omhe raolo, rotate antlclockwise the volume control
tlll a Cllck sound is heard. The dlsplay le show power OFF
message or a prompt tone will be heard.
Adjusfing the Volume
Rotate olockwrse the volume control to increase lhe volume
alter power on The Volume lnoreasmg Progress Bar will
