Press the user-delined [Contact] key to access contact
list and proceed to step 4.

Follow the steps below to access contact list.
1. Press [MENU] key or rotate [SELECT] button to
access the menu
2. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Contact" and
press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
3. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Contact List" and
press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
4 Rotate [SELECT] button to choose the desired alias
or ID and press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
5. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Info“ and press
[OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
6. Display Will show the information oia contact, such
as name, numberand attribute.
7. Press [BACK] key to return to the previous menu
Add Contact@
Procedure:

access the menu.
2. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Contact" and

press [OK] key or rotate [SELECT] button.
6. Display Will show the information ofa contact. such
as name. ID number and attribute.
7 Rotate [SELECT] button to select “Name" and press
[OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
8 When a blinking cursor appears, use the keypad of
Microphone to type the name. Or Hold [#] key to change
the input method, which Wl” be shown at the top left
side of the display (at most 9 Characters) ("AB" it
means you are able to type capital letters. “ab" it means
you are able to Input lowercase letters 12" it means
you are able to type numbers from 0 to 9."PY" it means
you are able to type Chinese with Pinyin method. )
9 Rotate [SELECT] button to move one space lo the
left or right.
10. Press [Delete] key to delete any unwanted characters
or use the keypad oi Microphone to type the name
11. press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button to save
the name
12. lt will return to the previous menu.
13. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "ID Number' and
press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
14. When a blinking cursor appears, use the keypad
of Microphone to type the ID number. ( al most 8
numbers.)
15. Rotate [SELECT] button to move one space to the
lel‘t or right.
16 Press [Delete] key to delete any unwanted characters
or use the keypad of Microphone to type the ID number.
17. Press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button to save
the lD number.
18. lt will return to the previous menu.
19. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Save Contact"
and [OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
20. The display Will show "Contact saved"

Note:
Vou can save a Contact only when name and ID number
is inputted.
The call type of the added contact must be “Group Call".
El Delete Contact
Procedure:
View the setting of menu function and operation
Press the user-defined [Contact] key to access contact
list and proceed to step 4.
OR
Follow the steps below to delete contact.
1. Press [MENU] key or press [SELECT] button to
access the menu.
2. Rotate [SELECT] button to select “Contact“ and
press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
3. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Contact List" and
press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button
4. Rotate [SELECT] button to choose desired alias or
ID of the the contacts as a private call and press [OK]
key or press [SELECT] button.
5. Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Delete Contact"
and press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button.
6. The display will show "Confirm to delete?"
7 Press [OK] key or press [SELECT] button to delete
Or press [Cancel] key to cancel.
8. The screen will return to the previous menu.
Initiate a call from ContacQ
Procedure:
1. Press the user-defined [Contact] key. The contacts
will be listed alphabetically.
2 Rotate [SELECT] button to choose the desired alias
or ID.
3. Hold the Microphone vertically 2.5cm to Sam (1 to
2 inches) from your mouth
4. Press [PTT] key to initiate a call.
5. The display will show the alias or D and the lCOl’t.
6. You can speak clearly into the microphone until the
"Group Call Tone" ends (if it has been turned on.)

or ID. (The contacts will be listed alphabetically.)
5. Hold the radio vertically 2.5cm to 5cm (1 to 2 inches)
from your mouth.

type the ID number. for a maximum of 8 numbers

3. Rotate [SELECT] button to select “Outgolng calls"

atlas or ID as well as a call icon.

I Rotate [SELECT] button to select "Search"

I The screen displays the tlme and the duration at the call.

Clear Call Log list
Procedure:
1 Press [Menu] key or [Select] knob to access menu
2 Rotate [Select] knob select Call Log and press [OK]
key or [Select] knob.
3. Rotate [Select] knob to select "Clear the list and
press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
4. Rotate [Select] knob to select outgolng calls. Then
press [OK] Key or [Select] knob to conllrm.
5. The screen displays the call log has been cleared.
6. The radio returns to the previous menu.

Users can View some general information from the
attachment menu
Note:
9 Some infcrmatlon of the radios only support to vlew

I GPS (optional)@
You can choose to purchase the radio with GPS feature.
GPS teature allows you to check or send your current
longitude, latitude, time, date, altitude and speed etc
data.
GPS ON/OFF
Procedure:
1 Press [Menu] key or [Select] knob to access menu
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select GPS and press [OK]
key or [Select] knob.
3. The display shows the available options of GPS.
4. Rotate [Select] knob to select desired option and
press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select GPS On/Ofi and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select GPS On and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob
I The display shows saved, when GPS is turned ON,
the GPS icon will show on the display.
I Your radio returns to the previous menu.
OR
I Rotate [Select] knob to select GPS Off and press
[OK] key.
I The display shows saved, when GPS is turned OFF,
the GPS icon will disappear on the display
I Your radio returns to the previous menu.
5. Press [Back] key to return to the previous menu.
View GPS Location
Procedure:
1. Press [Menu] key or [Select] knob to access menu.
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select GPS and press [OK]
key or [Select] knob
3. The display shows the GPS menu options.
4 Rotate [Select] knob to desired sub menu and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob

[Time-zone Position Calibration
Procedure:
1. Press [Menu] key or [Select] knob to access menu.
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select GPS and press [OK]
key or [Select] knob.
3. The display shows the GPS menu options.
4 Rotate [Select] knob to select desired sub menu and
press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Time zone and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob.
I The display shows the Time zone menu.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Auto Aligning.
I The display shows "Waiting"
I Press [Back] key to cancel the auto calibration and
return to the menu.
OR
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Manual Aligning .
I The display shows Time zone lists.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select current time Zone entry
and press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
I The display shows the Calibration is complete.
I The display returns to previous menu.
5 Press [Back] key to return to the previous menu
Note:
o It might need some time [or the auto aligning, please
wait until "Waiting" to disappear.
o For the auto aligning. please ad]usl the time
according to the local time.

If your dealer or system administrator allows you to set
the radio, you can set the menu and other operation
settings to set high/low power, time slot and voice
landing
High / Low power
If it is allowed by dealer or system administrator, users
can set the repeater high/low power through menu
display, to enlarge the working distance.
Note:
0 High power could ensure the communication With
long-distance target radio.
0 Lower power could sure the communication with
short-distance target radio.
Procedure:
Press the preset [High/Low] key to SWitch the high/ low
power
Or:
Through the menu display to set the power level, as
below.
1 Press [MENU] or [Select] knob key to access the
menu.
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select Settings. and pres[OK]
key or [Select] knob.
3. Rotate [Select] knob to select Parameter Selling.
and press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
4. Rotate [Select] knob to select High/low power, and
press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select High power, and press

If it is allowed by dealer or system admlnistrator, users
can set and check the tlme slot through menu display.
Procedure:
1. Press [MENU] or [Select] knob key to access the
menu.
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select Settings, and pres
[OK] key or [Select] knob.
3. Rotate [Select] knob to select Parameter Setting,
and press[OK] key or [Select] knob.
4. Rotate [Select] knob to select Time slot, and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Time slot 1, and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob.
I The display shows Tlme slot saved, and returns to
the preVlous menu.
OR
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Time slot 2, and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob.
I The dlsplay shows Slot Saved and returns to the
previous menu.
OR
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Time slot 1 & 2 On,
and press[OK] key or [Select] knob.
I The display shows Tlme slot saved, and returns to

A zone ls a group of channels. Vour radio supports up
to 1B zones. Wlth a maxlmum 0116 digital channels
and 16 analog channels per zone.
Select a Zone
If It Is allowed by dealer or system admlnlstrator, users
can set and check the zone lnformaticn through menu
display.
Procedure:

Press the preset [Zone] key to choose a zone [or the
radio.

Follow the steps below.
1. Press the [Menu] key or [Select] knob or to access
menu
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select Setting, and press
[OK] key or [Select] knob.
3. Rotate [Select] knob to select zone, and press [OK]
key or [OK] knob.
4. There are the zone llsts (16 zones at most).
5. Rotate [Select] knob key to select a desired zone
in zone llst and press [OK] key or [Select] knob
6. The dlsplay shows "Zone Saved"
7. The radio returns to the home dlsplay.
Note:
0 The number and names ofthe zones tn the list should
be preset by your distributor or system admlnistrator
(there can be a maxlmum oHB zones)
9 The zone wlll be showed on the display after
selected.

If it is allowed by dealer or system admlnistrator, users
can set and check the date, time, and date iormat
through menu display.

[OK] key or [Select] knob
3. Rotate [Select] knob to select Date 8. Time then
press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
4. Rotate [Select] knob to select the deslred sub menu.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Date. and press [OK]
key or [Select] knob.
I The dlsplay shows year/month/day (depending on
the date lormat).
I Rotate [Select] knob and then input the date wrth
keypad.
I The display shows Date Saved when the date lS set.
Please press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

Users can set or check the prompt of the radio through
the menu. if it is allowed by the distributor or system
administrator.
You can set or check the prompt or following functions

- Low Battery Alert
0 Message Tone
a Private Call Tone
- Group Call Tone
Profile Setting
There are 4 profiles available on your radio-
Standard 7 turn on all prompts
Silent iturn off all prompts.
Vibrate 7 vibrate but without prompts. (optional)
Vibrate on Ring —vibrate with prompts on (optional)
Note:
Those profiles with “-l-“ are optional or not available
at present.
Procedure:
1. Press [Menu] Key or [Select] knob to access the
menu.
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select Settings. then press[OK]
key or [Select] knob.
3 Rotate [Select] knob to select Prompt Tone, then
press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
4. Rotate [Select] knob to select Profiles, then press
[OK] key or [Select] knob
5. Rotate [Select] knob to select the desired option.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select Standard.
I Press [OK] key or [Select] knob, the display shows
Profile Saved. Please press [Back] to return to the

can set and check the keytone operation through menu
display.

1. Press [Menu] Key or [Select] knob to access the
menu.
2. Rotate [Select] knob to select Settings. then press
[OK] key or [Select] knob
3. Rotate [Select] knob to select Prompt Tone, then
press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
4. Rotate [Select] knob to select Keytone, then press
[OK] key or [Select] knob
5. Rotate [Select] knob to select the Keytone control,
then press [OK] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] knob to select On/Ofi. then press
[OK] key or [Select] knob

3 Rotate [Select] knob to select prompt tone set. then
press [confirm] or [Select] .
4. Rotate [Select] to select "power strength tone" then
press [confirm] key or [Select]
5. Rotate [Select] to select a desired subrmenu, then
press [confirm] key or [Select].
I Rotate [Select] to select "Low battery alert sztch"
then press [confirm] key or [Select] .

press [confirm] key or [Select] knob
4 Rotate [Select] to select "Message prompt tone" then
press [confirm] key or [Select] knob.
5 Rotate [Select] to select your desired subrmen, then
press [confirm] key or [Select] knob
I Rotate [Select] knob to select “Message tone switch“
and then press [conllrm] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] to “ON" then press [Confirm] key or
[Select] knob.
I Screen shows "Tone saved“ note. And back to
previous menu.

users could program or check the group call tone types
and activate or turn off the tone feature
Group call tone 8. ring setting
You can turn on or ol‘f group call tone when the radio
transmit or receive the group call, and select the deslred
tone from tone 1 to tone 5.
Procedure:
1. Press [Menu] key or [Select] knob to access menu
lIst.
2. Rotate [Select] to select “Settings“. then press
[confirm] key or [Select] knob.
3. Rotate [Select] knob to select prompt tone set, then
press [confirm] key or [Select] knob.
4 Rotate [Select] to select "Group Call tone" then press
[confirm] key or [Select] knob.
5. Rotate [Select] to select a desired sub-menu, then
press [confirm] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] to select "Group call switch" then
press [confirm] key or [Select] knob.
I Rotate [Select] to select "ON" then press [confirm]
key or [Select] knob.
I Screen shows "Set saved“ and then back to previous
menu.

Key Lock
If it is allowed by your dealer or system administrator,
users could set or check the repeater key lock mode
via screen menu, avoiding accident key input

their keypads.
I ON 7 if there is no operation within one minute, the
keypad will be locked automatically.
I OFF 7 When you want to lock keypad, press [Menu],
and then press [‘] to lock.

Scan ON or OFF
Once scan is enabled, the radlo le start scan cyclically
to check lf there ls any actlvilles in the channel under
the scan list . Once the scan is ON. the LED will flash
RED, and scan icon [ C ] will be displayed on the top
of screen.
When mixed modes (analogue and dlgilal) channels
under scanning. li your repeater stays on a dlgltal

channel, but repeater scans an analogue signal and
locked on the channel. then the repeater will auto sWitch
to analogue mode from digital mode during the calling
duration, vice versa.
Note: once the scan activated, repeater may fail to
transfer Signal in time or miss some signals. Thus,
