To cancel such interference, set the squelch level slightly lower than the signal strength you are using and the transceiver will receive only the signal lrom your partner. while the signal lrom the other group that is lower than the squelch level will not be received. A squelch setting of 20 will only receive strong signals while an 01 setting will produce noise at all times even when no signal is present. Press upward (DB-SOL lever (Sauslch Max) . SGUELCHLEVEL LEVEL 20 - The current squelch level is indicated on the display as CB-SQUELCH-LEVEL 20. Maximum squelch level is 20 and minimum level is 01. 16 - This transceiver unit is connected to the audio unit so that it automatically mutes the sound from the audio unit when a signal is received. Consequently, il you set the squelch level to a high level, only strong signals Will be received and only communications from your partner will cause the RX icon to appear on the display and mute the sound from the audio unit. If you set a low squelch level, the transceiver will receive unwanted weak signals or noise signals. The Fix icon will then appear and the sound from the audio will be muted frequently making it difficult to enjoy the audio lunctions. Flaise the squelch level slightly when the audio functions are being muted repeat- edly by noise. 17 OTHER FUNCTIONS OTHER FUNCTIONS ON/OFF of Roger Beep Function Check before you think you need service.
