VOLUME UP / DOWN Function    VOLUME UP / DOWN Operation of button    Turn left/right the    VOLUME    key Destination  North America  ・  Europe  ・  Australia Detail   There are 41 steps in VOLUME  STEP from Step0 to Step40.   The set will keep the volume value for each of connection AUX and other modes.(such as RADIO,CD mode)   Initial volume value is 15.   Initial volume value of AUX mode is 15.   If you turn right the    VOLUME   key, the volume value will be 1 step up.   If you turn left the    VOLUME   key, the volume value will be 1 step down.   If you adjust volume, it will display the volume value such as  “VOLUME  15”.   If you turn right when the volume value is the max value (40), or turn left when the volume value is the min value(0), the volume value will not be changed.     The   VOLUME   key of set will be effective when playing FF/FB in CD mode.   The   VOLUME   key of Steering Controller will be not effective when playing FF/FB in CD mode.   The   VOLUME   key of set will be not effective in BT-TEL mode. (incoming call/calling/voice infomation)   Volume adjustment will be released by following conditions.   No volume adjustment operation in 5 seconds.   When you turn ACC / POWER  off.   When you touch any effective key in any source mode.

In Australia ensitivity of seeking AM is linked to the illumination, Sensitivity of seeking FM is fixed to DX. (It will be LO SEEK when the illumination is ON, and be DX SEEK when the illumination is OFF )   It will be MUTE while seeking.   If the frequency reaches the maximum when you are seeking up, it will go back to the minimum frequency and go on seeking up.   If the frequency reaches the minimum when you are seeking down, it will go back to the maximum frequency and go on seeking down.   When it goes back to the maximum/minimum frequency, it will keep the next frequency for 500msec then go on seeking.   The last frequency will be updated by seeking when it detected a possible station and stop seeking.   It will also stop at other station besides RDS stations, even RDS is ON. It will scan up the frequency of the preset channel memory.   It will start to preset CH1 if it receives the other channels.    It will start to scan from the next channel when it is receiving the preset channel when Preset Scan starts.   I twill not scan the beginning channel when it is receiving the preset channel when Preset Scan starts. (For Example  :  If it Preset Scan starts when receiving CH2, it will scan like the following.  CH3  ⇒  4  ⇒  5  ⇒  6  ⇒ 1. It will release Preset Scan after CH1 and return to receive CH2.)   Preset Scan will scan around for once in a Band and end.   If it finds a station which is possible to receive, it will wait for 0.5sec and release the mute mode, then starts to receive the channel for 10sec.   It will go to next preset channel after 10sec.   If the frequency of the preset channel is impossible to receive, it will skip.   The frequency of preset channel will not be the last frequency even it is possible to receive.   In TI/NEWS interruption mode, it will receive the frequency of station which is possible to receive, regardless of that it is Transportation information Bureau/ NEWS station or not.   It will go on scaning even there is TI/NEWS interruption.   It will go on scaning in background when it is interrupted by a call.   The Channel Number will blink in preset scan mode.   Preset scan begins when seeking, and returns to the frequency before preset scan starts if there is no station possible to receive. Destination  North America  ・  Europe  ・  Australia Detail    I f you touch the    SCAN / AS   key in RADIO Mode for more than 1.5sec, it will start Auto Store.   It comes out “BEEP”, when it starts Auto Store.   All bands can be Auto Stored in FM.   AS will start to seek up from the next frequency.   Destination for Europe is that it will seek up around for LO sensitivity, if therer are nothing to preset    “1-6” memory, it will seek up around again for DX sensitivity.   Destination  for  Australia  is  that  seeking  sensitivity  (LO/DX)  will  be  linked  to  the  illumination  in AM mode,  and  DX sensitivity in FM mode.(the same to SEEK).   If the memory of the “1-6” key has been preseted, it will be ended even it has not finished seeking for 2 circles.   If the frequency/PI stationis the same to that in the preset memory, it will not preset again..   It will display the preset Number which will be preseted.   When a station which is possible to receive, it will keep the frequency as memory. (Keep the memory even it is released.)   If there are channels which cannot be preseted even it has saugh for 2 circles, the memory will be the frequency before Auto Store starts.   It will start to receive CH1 after Aoto Store released even if there is only one station preseted.   If there is no station preseted after Auto Store ends, it will start to receive the frequency of that when Auto Store starts.   It will go on Auto Storeing in background when there a call interrupts in AS Mode.   If TI interruption is ON, it will preset Transportation information Bureau only.     AS mode will be released by following conditions.   When you go to other sourcemode.         (The last frequency is the beginning frequency.※1)   When you switch to other band. If it is not receiving traffic information broadcast when you switch TI Interruption ON in FM mode, it will start TP-SEEK.   It will not start PT-SEEK when you switch TI Interruption Mode ON in other mode except FM mode.   It will go on TP-Seeking in the same Band until it is released (until a TI station is detected) .   If you switch the   key for less than 0.5sec while TP-Seeking, it will switch TI  Interruption OFF  and return  to the frequency before TP-SEEK starts.   It able to switch TI Interruption ON/OFF when the last mode is AM mode and current mode is other mode except FMmode. (Background mode will be FM mode.) Displaying Priority will be the following:  「Mechanism ERROR    > Forcus ERROR    > DISC ERROR > Format ERROR」.  ・  Mechanism ERROR   When Mechanism ERROR occurs in CD.   When it cannot EJECT DISC.     It will display  “PUSH  EJECT”  when Mechanism ERROR occurs.  ・  Forcus ERROR   DISC stops when it read TOC.   There is a flaw in the DISC.   It will display  “CHECK  DISC”  when Forcus ERROR occurs.  ・  DISC ERROR   Insert the DISC uncrrectly.   It is a dirty DISC.   Insert a unwritten CD-R   TOC information is damaged.   It will display  “CHECK  DISC”  when DISC ERROR occurs.    ・  Format ERROR   Sound will not come out if it is unable to decode.   It will take 3sec to detect the file that unable to decode, and keep the state for 5sec then goes to the next file.   It will display nothing when Format ERROR occurs.  ・  No File ERROR   There is no DISC MP3/WMA/AAC file in the DISC.     It will display  “CHECK  DISC”  when No File ERROR occurs.  ・  Digital Rights Management (DRM)   It will not come out sound if the DRM of WMA of the playing file is ON.   It will take 3sec to detect DRM, and keep the state for 5sec then goes to the next file.   It will display nothing when DRM occurs.

Shuffle  (iPod) Function   Shuffle Mode of iPod   It will display  “RANDOM” or  “RDM”instead of “Shuffle” for there are too many character.   ShuffleFunction is carried on by iPod.   It will go on playing current track and reorder the playlist by random when set Shuffle.(When it switch to other track it will not random again but play the playlist which decided when set shuffle.)  For this reason, the playing index number will not be changed. If there are too many tracks in current DB, random calculation of iPod may become slowly and the display update slowly. The playing order is changed only by iPod and there will not be special action occurs on set.  (It does not mean to do special action that track up in the last track in DB.) TEL MUTE Function   TEL-MUTE Operation of button  - Destination  North America  ・  Europe  ・  Australia Detail    If  car-phone  is  connected  to  the  TEL-MUTE  terminal  of  the  set  and  call  rings,  it  will  stop  the  mode  if  it  is  in RADIO/CD/USB/AUX mode.     It will display  「CALL」  in TEL-MUTE Mode.   It will stop displaying  「CALL」  and return to the last mode if call ends and telphone is OFF.     If you crank or turn ACC/POWER ON in TEL-MUTE Mode, it will release TEL-MUTE Mode for 10sec from then on and output the sound of last mode.   It will return to TEL-MUTE Mode 10sec later.    TEL-MUTE Mode will be released by following conditions.   When you go to other source mode.  (Including going to other source mode by LOADING)   When you touch the MODE key of Steering Controller for more than 1.5sec.  (Return to last mode)    It will not return to TEL-MUTE Mode if TEL-MUTE terminal has not been OFF for once, even TEL-MUTE Mode is released by the operations above.   Both normal MUTE and TEL-MUTE Modes will be released and sound comes out, if you do the operation above to release TEL-MUTE Mode when it is switched from normal MUTE.

The    VOLUME + and  VOLUME – keys of the set will be not effective when you are touching the  VOLUME + or VOLUME  – key of Steering Controller.   The  VOLUME  keys of  Steering Controller will  be effective even  it  is receiving a call/calling/ in Voice Guidance in BT-TEL Mode.    VOLUME ADJUSTMENT will be released by following conditions. It will FADE OUT when switch to MUTE-ON.   It will FADE IN when switch to MUTE-OFF.   The function of FADE IN/OUT is effective ONLY in CD, USB, BT-Audio and AUX modes.   Time RULE of FADE IN/OUT action will be the following.
