set to off or unplug when not in use.
• Keepforeignobjects–gloves,jewelry,clothing,hair,etc.–awayfromshredder
openings.Ifobjectenterstopopening,switchtoReverse()tobackoutobject.
• Neveruseaerosolproducts,petroleumbasedlubricantsorotherflammable
products on or near shredder. Do not use canned air on shredder.
• Donotuseifdamagedordefective.Donotdisassembleshredder.
Do not place near or over heat source or water.
• Operation,maintenance,andservicerequirementsarecoveredintheinstruction
manual. Read the entire instruction manual before operating shredders.
• ThisshredderhasaDisconnectPowerSwitch(F)thatmustbeintheON(I)
positiontooperateshredder.Incaseofemergency,moveswitchtoOFF(O)
position.Thisactionwillstopshredderimmediately.
• Avoidtouchingexposedcuttingbladesundershredderhead.
• Shreddermustbepluggedintoaproperlygroundedwalloutletorsocketofthe
voltageandamperagedesignatedonthelabel.Thegroundedoutletorsocket
mustbeinstalledneartheequipmentandeasilyaccessible.Energyconverters,
transformers,orextensioncordsshouldnotbeusedwiththisproduct.

LimitedWarranty:Fellowes,Inc.(“Fellowes”)warrantsthepartsofthemachinetobefreeof
defectsinmaterialandworkmanshipandprovidesserviceandsupportfor2yearsfromthedate
of purchase by the original consumer. Fellowes warrants the cutting blades of the machine to be
freefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipforthelifetimeoftheshredder.Ifanypartis
foundtobedefectiveduringthewarrantyperiod,yoursoleandexclusiveremedywillberepair
orreplacement,atFellowes’optionandexpense,ofthedefectivepart.Thiswarrantydoesnot
applyincasesofabuse,mishandling,failuretocomplywithproductusagestandards,shredder
operationusing animproper powersupply (otherthan listedon thelabel), orunauthorized
repair. Fellowes reserves the right to charge the consumers for any additional costs incurred by
Fellowes to provide parts or services outside of the country where the shredder is initially sold
byanauthorizedreseller.ANYIMPLIEDWARRANTY,INCLUDINGTHATOFMERCHANTABILITYOR

CLEANING AUTO-START INFRARED SENSORS
Paperdetectionsensorsaredesignedformaintenancefreeoperation.However,onrareoccasionsthesensorsmaybecomeblockedbypaperdustcausingthemotortorunevenifthereis
no paper present.
(Note:twopaperdetectionsensorsarelocatedinthecenterofthepaperentry).

A. Overheat Indicator: WhentheOverheatIndicatorisilluminated,theshredderhasexceededitsmaximum
operatingtemperatureandneedstocooldown.Thisindicatorwillremainilluminatedandtheshredderwill
not operate for the duration of the recovery time. See Basic Shredding Operation for more information about
the continuous operation and recovery time for this shredder.
B. Bin Open:Theshredderwillnotrunifthebinisopen.
Whenilluminated,closethebintoresumeshredding.
C. Bin Full:Whenilluminated,theshredderwastebinisfullandneedstobeemptied.
UseFelloweswastebag36053.
D. Remove Paper:Whenilluminated,pressreverse( ) and remove paper.
Reducepaperquantitytoanacceptableamountandrefeedintopaperentry.
