Adult assembly is required. Requires four size “AA” alkaline batteries (not included) in the car. Requires one 9-volt alkaline battery (not included) in the transmitter. Tool needed for battery installation: Phillips Screwdriver. Important! Radio interference can occur if more than one radio control car or another radio device is operat- ing on the same frequency. Radio interference can cause this product to work erratically. For best performance, please be sure to maintain a distance from or do not operate this toy near: - other radio devrces such as nursery monitors, cordless telephones or other radio-control cars on the same frequency. - high voltage electrical wires, reinforced concrete buildings or CB radios. Any modification of the transmitter or the receiver (car) will violate FCC compliance and can void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Battery Installation BOTH SHOWN ACTUAL SlZE Please Note: The 9-volt battery in the trans- mitter has a longer life than the “AA" batteries in the truck. You may need to change the “AA" batteries more often than the Q-volt battery. Truck Batteries - Unfasten the screw in the battery compan- ment door with a Phillips screwdriver. The screw will remain in the door. - Push the battery com- partment door in the direction of the arrow and lift to open. - Insert lour size “AA" alkaline batteries, as indicated inside the battery compartment. - Close the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not cver~tighten. Transmitter Battery Battery Compartment Door - Unfasten the screw in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver, The screw will remain in the door. - Push the battery compartment door in the direction of the arrow and lift to open. - Snap a 9-volt battery to the battery contacts and insert it into the battery compartment. - Close the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. Battery Tips - Do not mix old and new batteries. - Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, stan- dard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). - Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the prod- uct. Battery leakage and corrosion can damage the product. - Never short circuit the battery terminals. ~ Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. - Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as rec~ cmmended in the "Battery Installation" instructions are to be used. - If removable rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision. - Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before they are charged. - If you use a battery charger, it should be examined regularly for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. Do not use a damaged battery charger until it has been properly repaired. Truck Use - Press the ON/OFF button to turn the truck “ON“. - Select a speed by sliding the speed control switch to: 2 - Fast N ~ Neutral (wheels roll freely for non-battery operated play) 1 — Slow Note: If the speed control switch does not move easily, rotate the rear wheels slightly while moving the speed control switch. - Press the ON/OFF button to turn the truck “OFF". Note: The High/Low Truck will swrtch oft automati» cally alter a tew minutes ol non-use. Press the ON/OFF button to swtloh the truck back “ON". Transmitter Use Right Wheel Control Button Push the top arrow on the - FORWARD... transmitter control button. - REVERSE .....Push the bottom arrow on the transmitter control button. - STO ..Release the control button. ..Turn the transmitter wheel to the left. - STRAIGHT ..Keep the transmitter wheel straight. - RIGHT . Turn the transmitter wheel right. Note: For maximum range, keep the transmitter antenna pointed up.
