Remote Control/Receiver Battery Installation (optional)3BatteryCompartment Door• Locate battery compartment door on the back of remote control/receiver.• Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Lift to remove the battery compartment door.• Snap the terminals of a fresh, 9V alkaline battery into the remote control/receiver connectors.• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw.Do not over-tighten.Battery Tips• Remove the battery during long periods of non-use. Alwaysremove an exhausted battery from the product. Battery leakageand corrosion can damage this product. Dispose of battery safely.• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.The batteries may explode or leak.• Never short circuit the battery terminals.• A non-rechargeable battery is not to be recharged.• Only a battery of the same or equivalent type as recommended inthe “Battery Installation” instructions is to be used.• If a removable rechargeable battery is used, it is only to be chargedunder adult supervision.• A rechargeable battery is to be removed from the product beforeit is charged.• If you use a battery charger, it should be examined regularly fordamage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. Testing Sound Reception4Test transmitter transmission and remote control/receiver reception.Place transmitter in room in whichyou intend to use it. Slide transmitterpower switch to turn power on.Turnon a radio.Place remote control/receiver in room in which you intend to use it.Rotate power/volume dial to turnpower on. Adjust remote control/receiver location.If you experience interference (buzzingor static, etc.) while using one channelsetting, switch both units to otherchannel. Selecting a channel is usuallya one time adjustment.Notes:• Variable light display lights whensound is received by remote control/receiver.• If all four dots in variable light display light:- Remote control/receiver power ison and transmitter power is off.- Remote control/receiver is too faraway from transmitter.- Remote control/receiver and trans-mitter are not on same channel.- Loud sounds are transmitting.Hint: If you turn remote control/receiver power on before transmitter power, you willhear a static noise and all four dots in variable light display light. Simply turn volume down and turn transmitter power on.

Replacing the Light Bulb (Glass Bulb)IMPORTANT! Should the light bulb become non-functional, you areadvised to remove and replace it.This should be carried out awayfrom the child’s sleep or play area.• Loosen the screw in the lightbulb compartment door witha Phillips screwdriver.• Lift to remove the light  bulbcompartment door.• Loosen and remove the twoscrews in the retainer with aPhillips screwdriver.• Remove the retainer.• While pressing the lens of thereflector, lift it from the lightbulb compartment cover.• Remove and properly discardthe light bulb.• Replace the light bulb with anew PR12 (6V) or equivalentlight bulb.Note: When replacing the lightbulb, be sure to discard the lightbulb properly. • At an angle, fit the reflectorover the new light bulb.• Align the notch in the reflectorwith the tab in the light bulbreceptacle.• Push the reflector lens slightlyand fit the reflector edges intothe grooves in the light bulbcompartment cover.17NotchTabGroove• Replace the retainer. Insert thetwo screws in the retainer.• Tighten with a Phillips screw-driver. Do not over-tighten.• Fit the tabs on the light bulbcompartment door into theslot in the back of the trans-mitter.
