Walkie-Talkies Model Number: C4778 Please keep this instruction sheet for future reference, as it contains important information. Requires two 9V (6LR61) alkaline batteries (Not included.) Adult assembly required for battery installation. Tool needed for battery installation: Phillips screwdriver (not included). e s cu www.r co es. hero BATTERY INSTALLATION 9V (6LR61) Shown Actual Size Battery Compartment Door Back View • Locate the battery compartment on the back of each walkie-talkie. • Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door. • Insert one 9V (6LR61) alkaline battery into each walkie-talkie. • Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. Hints: - We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer life. - When sound becomes faint or walkie-talkie does not work, it’s time for an adult to replace the batteries! BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your toy. To avoid battery leakage: • Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). • Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment. • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak. • Never short-circuit the battery terminals. • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended. • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging. • If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision. On/Off Switch Mission Talk Button Normal Talk Button Mission Dial • Slide the power switch on top of each walkie-talkie to the position to turn it on or to the position to turn it off. • Turn the mission dial to choose one of six different missions. • Press and hold the top (mission) talk button to transmit a message from Billy Blazes™ or Rocky Canyon™ about the chosen mission to the other walkie-talkie. • Press and hold the bottom (normal) talk button to use like a regular walkietalkie and transmit your own messages. Speak directly into the microphone below the mission dial. CARE • • • • To clean, wipe all parts with a damp cloth. Never immerse the walkie-talkie. Keep water, sand and dirt off of this toy. Do not drop this toy on a hard surface. This product contains no consumer replaceable parts. Do not take this toy apart. TROUBLE SHOOTING PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION Excessive Static Interference from car engines, powerlines, fluorescent lights, electric motors or dimmer switches. Change your location or point the antenna in different directions. Walkie-Talkie does not work Battery power is low Replace the exhausted battery with a new 9V battery (see page 2). Range of Walkie-Talkie is decreased Unit does not transmit well through hills, trees, buildings or crowds of people. Use walkie-talkie at a higher location or in a more open and flat area.
