TochargeyourFitbitOne,alignthegoldcontactsonyourtrackerwiththegoldcontactsontheinsideof
thechargingcable,thenplugitintoyourcomputer’sUSBport.

2.Oncethetracker’sdisplayturnson,youwillbereadytosetitup.

MacuserscanalsolocateFitbitConnectbysearchingfortheprograminSpotlight.

ClickontheFitbiticon,thenon“OpenMainMenu”.FromtheMainMenu,click“SetUpDevice”.

TheFitbitOnewillsyncwithcompatibleBluetoothSmartdevices.Currently,theiPhone4S,iPhone5,iPod
Touch,iPadMiniand3rdgenerationiPadwillsynctotheFitbitOne.
DevicesthatdonothaveBluetooth4.0/BluetoothSmartcompatibilitywon’tsyncdirectlywiththeFitbitOne.
ThefreeFitbitmobileappwillalwaysshowallofyourstatsthathavebeensyncedusingacomputer.
PairingyourFitbitOnetoamobiledevice
1.MakesurethatyourFitbitOneischargedbypressingitsbutton.Ifthescreendoesnotilluminateafterdoing
this,chargeyourFitbitOnebypluggingitintothechargingcable.Thechargingcableshouldbeconnectedtoa
computer’sUSBportoranyUSBchargingoutletforatleast

2.Onceyourtrackerischarged,downloadthelatestFitbitappforyourdevice.IfyoualreadyhavetheFitbit

yourFitbitmobileapp.
YoumusthaveBluetoothenabledtosyncyourtrackertoyourphone.
ToenableBluetoothfromtheFitbitappgotoMore>Devices>UseBluetooth,andtoggletoON.
Thereisanoptionforbackgroundsync.Withbackgroundsyncturnedon,yourmobiledevicewill
periodicallysyncwiththetrackerevenwhentheappisnotopen.
Toenablebackgroundsyncing,gotoMore>Devices>One>BackgroundSync,andtoggletoON.

UpdatingyourtrackerwillfixbugsandaddnewfeaturesthathavebeenaddedtotheFitbitOne.
FromtheFitbitapp,gotoMore>Devices>One.
Ifadeviceupdateisavailable,youwillseetheoptionto“UpdateFitbitOne”atthebottomofthescreen.
Ifyourtrackerisalreadyuptodate,“UpdateFitbitOne”willnotbeanoptiononyourmobiledevice.
Ifyouseethe“UpdateFitbitOne”option,bringyourtrackernearyourmobiledeviceandtap“UpdateFitbit

WhenyoufirstsetupyourFitbitOne,itwillbeinbeginnermode.Thenamecorrespondingtothedisplay

beginnermode.Afterthedisplayhascycledthrougheachscreen

PowerSavingMode
Yourtracker’sdisplaywillturnofftosavepowerafterseveralsecondsofinactivity.Toseeyourstats

TurningoffyourFitbitOne
ToturnoffyourFitbitOne,placeitintothecharger(whichmustbepluggedintoyourcomputer’sUSB
port).Holddownthetracker’sbuttonforabout12secondsuntilthedisplayshutsoff.
Releasethetracker’sbutton.Yourtrackerwillnowbeoff,andwillnotrecordanyactivityuntilyouturnit
backonbyholdingthebuttondownforafewseconds.

hills.Eachfloorrepresentsabout10feetofelevationgain.Usingastairexercisemachinewillnotcount
towardsyourfloorstats,asthereisnoactualelevationgain.
Distance
FitbitOnecalculatesyourdistancebasedonyourstepcountandstridelength.Yourstridelengthis
estimatedbasedonyourheightandgender.Youalsohavetheoptionofenteringyourownstridelength
forincreasedaccuracy.Distanceunitscanbesettoeithermilesorkilometersbychangingyoursettings.
CalorieBurn
Thetotaldisplayedrepresentshowmanycaloriesyou’veburnedsincemidnight,andincludescalories
calculatedbyyourBasalMetabolicRate(BMR).Thismeansthatwhenyouwakeupinthemorning,you

willseecaloriesburnedevenifyouhaven’tmovedaroundwithyourtrackeron.Whenyou’reactive,
caloriesburnedfromactivitywillbeaddedtorestingcaloriesburned.
Flower
Yourflowerwillgrowandshrinkbasedonyouractivityleveloverthepastseveralhours.
Thereare10leavesonafullygrownflower.Moreleavesindicatehigherrecentact ivitylevels.
Yourflowerwilladaptasyoubecomeincreasinglyactive,soitwillbecomeincreasinglychallengingto
fullygrowyourflower.
Clock
Theclockshowsthecurrenttime.Ifthetimeisnotcorrect,syncyourtrackerandmakesurethathave
selectedtheappropriatetimezoneinyourFitbitprofile.
SilentAlarms
TheFitbitOnehasavibratingsilentalarmthatcanbeusedtowakeyoufromsleepwithoutdisturbing
yourpartner.
Silentalarmscanbeusedseparatelyfromsleeptracking;youdon’tneedtorecordsleeptouseyour
trackerasanalarm.
Recurringalarms(MondaythroughFriday,forexample)aresupported.Youmaysetupto8alarmsata
time.Silentalarmscanbedisabledbypressingthebuttononthetracker.

beginusingsilentalarms(seepage13fordetailedinstructions).
3.Tap“Addanewalarm”,theselectthedayordaysandtimeatwhichyouwantyouralarmtogooff.
4.Tap“Save”.AssoonasyousyncyourtrackertoFitbit,youralarmwillbeset.

SliptheFitbitOneintoyourwristbandatnighttorecordhowlongandwellyousleep.
Overtime,youcanapplywhatyoulearntohelpyousleepmoresoundly.
Torecordyoursleep,dothefollowing:
1.Placethetrackerintotheslotonthewristbandandwraptheitaroundyournon‐dominantwrist.
2.Onceyouareinbedandreadytofallasleep,pressandholdthetracker’sbuttonfor2+seconds.
Youwillseeastopwatch.Theothericonswillblink,indicatingthatyouareinsleepmode.
3.Whenyouwakeup,pressandholdthebuttonfor2+secondstostopthesleeprecording.Theicons
willstopblinkingtoindicateyou’veexitedsleepmode.Onceyouexitsleepmode,theFitbitOnewill
resumedisplayingyourdailytotals.
4.Oncethedatasyncs,graphsonyourDashboardwillrevealhowlongyousleptandthenumberof
timesyouwokeup,givingyoudetailsaboutyoursleep.Lastnight’ssleepwillappearontoday’spage.
*Ifyouforgottopressthebuttononyourtracker,butwerewearingitwhileyouslept,youcanenterthe
timesmanuallyontheTrackMySleeppageandyourdatawillstillappearonceyousyncyourtracker.

TheFitbitOneispoweredbyarechargeableLithium‐ionpolymerbattery,whichisbuiltintothedevice.
Itshouldbechargedwiththechargingcable,whichplugsintoyourcomputer’sUSBportandcanalso
