FOXPRO Inc. 14 Fox Hollow Dn've Lewistown, PA 17044 Phone (717) 248-2507 FAX (717) 247-3594 www.gofoxpro.com TX200 Remote Control Instructions The transmitter is housed in a rugged plastic case, and is powered by an alkaline 9-volt battery. The LCD graphic display allows you to see sound play list selections without the need to refer to labels. The highlighted sound will play when the knob on the transmitter panel is pushed. The keypad has buttons for controlling the volume. muting the sound, and controlling an auxiliary device such as a decoy. Four presets are available for instant sound selection. These presets may be easily changed by the user at any time. A new play list can be downloaded into the transmitter memory when the sounds in the FXS are reprogrammed. The LCD display incorporates an effective LED backlight. This. coupled with glow-in-thc-dark keys, allows for easy operation even in total darkness. The transmitter On / Ofi" switch is located on the rear panel. The transmitter will shut olTafler 2 hours of inactivity. Any button push resets the shut-off timer to two hours. OPERATION Place the power slide switch to the “On" position. Turn on the FXS caller by rotating its volume control clockwise past the “click“. The setting of the volume control will not limit the volume available with the remote control. Next. with the remote control, select the sound you want to play by rotating the knob on the TX200 so that your chosen sound is highlighted, then push the knob and release it. This will transmit the sound ID to the FXS and cause it to enter the remote mode. However, sound is not heard because the main unit enters remote mode with the volume control at minimum level. To hear the selected sound. increase the volume level using the “Vol Up” button. The sound can he muted by pressing the “Mute" button for about a half-second. Push the “Mute" button again to un-mute the sound. To play a different sound, select the appropriate sound on the display. then push the sound selector knob. The “Aux" button is used to control certain accessories sold or approved by FOXI’RO. This is a momentary function, and does not latch as the mute fitnction does. Do not connect any device not approved by FOXPRO to the Aux connector on the main unit. A “Recall" key is available to recall the previous sound as well as the volume level. A total of four “Preset” keys allow you to have access to favorite sounds with a single key press. The desired volume level is also stored with the sound. To change a preset sound. press and hold the key for 5 seconds. When the status line blinks, select the new sound to be stored using the rotary encoder knob. Select the volume level desired for this sound using the volume adjust keys. Then push the preset kcy once again to store selections. Repeat this procedure for the other preset keys. The operational channel is selected by simultaneously pressing the P3 and P4 keys. This will toggle the channel indicator through A, B, and C. Channel A will allow the MOD to operate FX3, 4t6, and 532 callers. Channels B and C will operate FXS callers. A real time clock is included in the display status line. This clock starts with each power- on and recycles at 100 minutes. The TX200 incorporates a data download jack so that the FXS play~list can be downloaded into the transmitter memory for display on the LCD. To download your play-list from the FXS into the TXZOO. Connect the supplied patch cable from the FXS Aux jack to the data jack on the TX200. Turn off the power on both units. Tum on power to the transmitter and wait for the data message on the LCD display. Then. while depressing the sound down button on the FXS, turn on the power to the FXS. When the data transfer is complete (about 2 minutes). turn off both units and remove the patch cable. When the Tsz is tumed back on, your new play-list will be shown in the LCD display. HINTS and TIPS 11m transmitter must be fitted with a good 9-volt alkaline battery. The malted “heavy duty" types will not‘givc good service life and may cause erratic operation because of peak current limitations. “Duracell“ or “Energizer" types are recommended. Remember that once you have your sound in the TXZOO display. you must press the “Send“ knob to play that sound. The volume up and down buttons are active in mute mode. You are able to mute a sound while it is playing loudly. then reduce the volume before un-muting the sound. You may also select a different sound while in mute mode by selecting another sound in the display, then pressing the "Send" knob. When you un-mute the caller, the new sound will play. The “Aux“ button controls the jack labeled "Aux". Pushing the “Aux" button on the transmitter causes a momentary electronic contact closure. Releasing this button causes this contact closure to turn off. The device connected to this jack should have a latching function so that the first button push turns on the device. and the next button push turns it off. There are limits as to the voltage and current ratings of anything connected to the "Aux“jack. Never connect an un- approved device to the Aux connector. Damage to your FOXPRO may occur. Contact FOXPRO for additional information. In order to achieve maximum glow time of the keypad buttons, charge them with light before each use. Brighter light and longer charge times will give longer glow times. For maximum range, use the remote within line of sight. Earth and vegetation attenuate the transmitter signal. Elevating the caller by setting it on a stump or feneepost will extend the range. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on. the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more ofthe following measures: 'Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna ‘lncrease separation between the equipment and the receiver. ‘Consult the dealer or an cxperienoed radio I TV technician for help.
