Product Versatility

The LifeBook T4220 Tablet PC is not only

perfect for project-based users that require the

power of inking or easy pen-driven navigation,

but also for mobile professionals who must

have a keyboard and integrated media drive all

included in one unit. Taking advantage of the

industry-rst bi-directional swivel hinge, you

can easily transform this standard notebook

into a tablet conguration by rotating (in either

direction) and folding the screen. Collect data

efciently and accurately using the stylus to

make handwritten notes and drawings with

digital ink. To enter data using the keyboard,

tilt up and rotate the screen (follow the arrow

indicator) to a notebook conguration. The

stylus and active digitizer

continue to work in

the notebook conguration.

active digitizer to perfectly t your business

needs: An indoor XGA TFT display or an

indoor/outdoor XGA TFT display. With Intel

T4220 Tablet PC delivers mobility,

to take notes or capture a

signature, then easily convert your handwritten

notes into text. When you return to your

hotel or ofce, use the keyboard in standard

notebook mode to incorporate your notes

into a business proposal or summary report.

Boundless Connectivity

Connect to your ofce network or the Internet

with modem, Gigabit Ethernet, the latest Intel

Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (802.11.a/b/g/

draft-n) for up to 5X throughput improve-

ment,

or optional Atheros Super AG wireless

LAN. The LifeBook T4220 Tablet PC comes

equipped with diversity antennas mounted in

the display panel to achieve high data transfer

rates and strong connection reliability. If you

use a Bluetooth-enabled cellular phone or

PDA, your LifeBook T4220 Tablet PC can be

equipped with integrated Bluetooth (version

2.0) wireless technology for data synchronization

and swapping images.

Maximum Usability

The LifeBook T4220 Tablet PC is very

versatile: Use it in notebook mode or in tablet

mode, as your needs dictate. The built-in

modular bay allows you to have a second battery

for extra-long work days and plane trips

without adding much weight or increasing

the system thickness. It can also accommo-

date one of the modular bay optical drives to

handle all of your digital media needs: DVD

movies, CD audio, or burning data onto CDs

or DVDs. While in tablet mode, the exclusive

patent pending BayLock™ utility automati-

cally locks the media drive door closed and

stops the drive from spinning, protecting both

the drive and the media inside from accidental

ejection or potential damage. This is a key

feature for the mobile tablet PC user. All of

this functionality comes in a tablet PC that

weighs as little as 4.3 lbs., and still manages

to house an array of ports that allow you to

connect peripherals directly. An optional port

replicator with hot-docking capability gives

you immediate access to desktop peripherals.
