Install 8»AA alkaline batteries into the transmitters battery holder located in the base of the transmitter. Be sure to install the batteries
direction shown on the battery holder.
install 4-AA batteries In the receiver battery holder.
Connect servos, 4-cell battery pack and switch harness to the receiver as shown above.
Turn on the transmitter, then turn on the receiver switch harness.
Center the steering and throttle trim adjustments and make sure all servos operate according to transmitter movements.
Turn off the system, receiver first, then transmitter.
install the entire radio system Into your model as shown in the model's instruction manual (see above tor proper channel usage).
It you need to reverse the direction in which a servo rotates, locate the servo reversing switch tor that particular channel on the fact
transmitter and slide it to the “Ft” position.
With the transmitter antenna collapsed, you should maintain smooth control oi your model trom at least 30 feet away. If not, reiel

The transmitter (Tx) requires 3 “AA" batteries. Do not mix old and new cells. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbonrzinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.To Install the batteries. slide open the battery door on the bottom or the Tx (see figure 1).
Install 8 ‘AA' batteries in the holder following the configuration molded into the case, making sure to note the proper polarities on
each cell. Close the battery door.
Turn the T! power switch on (see iigure 2).The red "BATT" LED should illuminate it not, turn all the Tx and check the configuration
of the batteries to make sure each cell is lirml in place and In the pro or direction. It the red LED blinks, the batteries are low on

The 2TXP operates on the 27 or 75MHz irequency bands. There are 30 dilterent channels in t e 75MHz band ranging Irom
75.410MHz (ChGi) through 75.990MH2 (Ch90) and six channels in the 27MHz band ranging lrom A1 (26.995Mhz) to A6
(27.255Mhz). For saiety reasons, you must always be aware ol whet channel you are using sot at no two radios in the same area

Because there are a variety cl specific applications tor servos in WC TEMPLATE
modeling. dilierent servos are designed tor diiterent applications.
Tower Hobbies otters a large line-up oi servos which you can
choose irom (see page A). For each servo. use a servo horn long
enough to accommodate the entire range of movement tor that
pat tlar control.

RECEIVER, SWITCH HARNESS AND RECEIVER BATTERY (refer to diagram in the Quick
Reference Guide)
Insert 4VAA alkaline batteries into the receiver battery holder in the direction shown on the battery holder. Alter the servos and
receiver are mounted into your model per the model's manual, connect the servos and switch harness to the receiver as shown.
The servo connectors are polarized to prevent improper connection, but do pay close attention when connecting them to the
receiver. The black wrre goes toward the outstde edge at the receiver case. It you are using an electronic speed control (ESC)
connect the E505 throttle lead to channel 2 in the receiver and rotor to the E565 instructions tor further set-up details (the battery
holder and switch harness can be omitted when using an ESC). Center the steering and throttle trim adjustments (see ligure 2),
Turn on the Tx, then the Fix switch harness. Make sure all servos operate according to the movement ot the Tx controlsTurn oil the
Rx switch harness or ESC. then the transmitter and be carelul not to move the servo output arms trom their centered posnion
during installation.
Completely unwind and route the receiver antenna according to the model’s instructions, Do NOT cut the antenna or you may
lose adequate operational range. It your antenna rs too long to route through your model, make an antenna shortener out oi

Steering Dual Hate:1’his adjustment (see figure 4). is used to line tune the steering servo throw. The dual rate knob allow.
decrease the amount oi throw that the lront wheels have. It also allows you to Increase the throw of the lront wheels to
steering. It the vehicle is understeerlng (pushing), increase the amount of throw to the front wheels using the dual rr knc
vehicle is oversteering (spinning out), decrease the amount oi throw to the front wheels using the dual rate knob.
Throttle: Squeeze the throttle trigger. Be sure that your motor can reach full throttle (carburetor fully open on a gas eng

direction, move the throttle reversing switch to the “Fl" position. With the trigger re eased. the carburetor should b
