Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 2Introduction The Gg01 Bluetooth headset is a portable headset solution based on Bluetooth wireless technology. The headset intended for hands free communication with mobile phone, PC or any device which compatible with Bluetooth wireless technology version 1.1 that support the Headset profile or Handsfree profile. This user guide focus on establish a connection with your mobile phone. You need to have a phone with embedded Bluetooth capability, or a phone with a Bluetooth adapter connected to it. The phone can be tucked away in your pocket or in a bag. You can handle incoming call and outgoing calls, and adjust the volume up or down, using the buttons on the headset. The headset power is provided by an integral rechargeable battery. The battery must be charged with the appropriate charger. Gg01is equipped with a lithium polymer rechargeable battery to perform highly safety, but also supply 250 hours standby time and 9~11 hours talk time.  Note: Talk time and standby time are varied according to different mobile phones.  Please make sure that you: 1)  Fully charge your Gg01 headset at least 4 hours before you use it the first time. 2)  To pair the headset with a Bluetooth mobile phone or other devices before you making calls. Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 3Features -  Support both Bluetooth Headset and Hands free profile The Gg01 Bluetooth headset support both Bluetooth headset and hands free profile, no matter what Bluetooth audio gateway profile that your Bluetooth mobile phone support, Gg01 can communicate with them well.    -  250 hours standby time and 9~11 hours talk time The Gg01 Bluetooth headset supports 250 hours standby time and 9~11 hours talk time to fulfill the operation requirements for modern mobile phone accessories.    -  Voice dial and last calls redial   If your Bluetooth mobile phone supports voice dial function and you had save a voice tag on your mobile phone, than you can make a voice dialing via Gg01. With Handsfree profile, The Gg01 Bluetooth headset also support redial function if you want to redial the last calls.  -  Weak signal and low power alert When the distance between the Bluetooth headset and mobile phone too far to keep the Bluetooth link, the Bluetooth headset will alert you by short beep to remind you. Or once the power of Bluetooth headset too low to work, the headset will alert you to recharge the headset.

Please refer to the drawing for speaker direction change.               1.  Hold the headset firmly and carefully, then turn the speaker housing.            2.  Place the headset behind your ear.             Note: The rotate angels is only 180 degree from outer part, please do not over rotate the speaker.

Loop the top of the headset over the top of your ear.            4.  Adjust the speaker housing into your ear canal.            5.  The microphone will then be position in the direction of your voice.

To switch your headset on, press and hold Talk button for about 3 seconds, the blue indicator lights 2 times, release the button. The blue indicator will be then blinking once every about 4 seconds. This is standby mode which means the headset is awaiting a call. 2.  To switch your headset off, press and hold Talk button for 3 seconds until red indicator lights 2 times, release the button.

Charging and battery time 1)  Before you can use your headset, you need to fully charge the headset. 2)  The headset can be on or off while charging. 3)  If left unused a fully charged battery will discharge itself over time.    It is better not leave the battery connected to a charger longer than 3 days, since overcharging might shorten its lifetime.  2.  To charge the headset, please follow this guide: 1)  Connect the adapter into an electrical outlet. 2)  Plug the adapter’s connector into charging port. 3)  While charging, the red indicator light will stay on and remains light until the charging is completed. When the charging is completed, the indicators are off i.e. power off. 4)  Charging time is about 1 – 2 hours. 5)  You can now take the adapter’s connector out from the headset and disconnect the adapter from the electrical outlet.  3.  Pairing the headset to the phone Before you use your headset for the first time, you must pair the headset to a Bluetooth mobile phone. The Bluetooth connection between the headset and your phone can be established by setting up a paired link. With a paired link, the phone records the headset’s ID, and process with future use. Please use the following guide.  Before you can pair your headset you need to put it into pairing mode.  Note: Pairing must be done every time while the headset establishes a link with a different Bluetooth mobile phone.  Pairing mode can only be entered while reset the Gg01. During pairing, it is recommended that the headset and phone distance is as close as possible-with no solid objects in between. Note: Full charge your Gg01 for at least 4 hours before you use it the first time.

Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 10To proceed pairing the headset with the mobile phone, please follow this guide: 1) Check the mobile phone user guide, then, find out the locations of Bluetooth and “Bluetooth device discovery”. 2)  Power ON the Gg01 Bluetooth headset. 3)  Getting into Headset Pairing mode by press “Talk”, “Vol. Up” and “Vol. Down” buttons at the same time to reset the headset, you can see the purple indicator blanking 2 times then blue indicator and red indicator will cross blink per second, now the Gg01 is waiting for pairing now. 4)  Perform a “Bluetooth device discovery” from the mobile phone.  Note: It may take several seconds to establish connections.  5)  The phone’s display will advise that it has found Gg01 and ask you to confirm that you want to pair with it. Please confirm this. 6)  Enter the passkey “1234” when your phone menu prompts you, and the phone will start to pair the headset. 7)  Your phone screen will advise that pairing has been successful, and the blue indicator on your headset will rapidly blinking 3 times every 4 seconds when Bluetooth pairing has been established.  If the pairing fails, the blue indicator and red indicator keep cross blinking and keep about 120 seconds then stop. A re-pairing procedure is needed. Please refer to step 1) ~ 7) above.  Note: Your phone screen will also give the status. Once the headset and phone have successfully paired – you are ready to place and receive calls.

Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 11Making a phone call You can make a phone call by dial the keypad on your mobile phone as usual or using voice dial function with Gg01, please see following guide to make a phone call:  1) Keypad dial Just make a phone call by dial the keypad on your mobile phone as usual, you can hear the ring tone in Gg01 while waiting for accept call; after the call is accepted, you can start the conversation with Gg01.   Note: For Nokia Bluetooth mobile phone users: Always check the link status with the Gg01. Unlike other Bluetooth mobile phones, Nokia mobile phone uses “always-on” mechanism for its paired device, so the link between Nokia phone and Gg01 is always active, but if the link had been broken such as signal lost, Nokia phone won’t recover the link even Gg01 is backed within the signal range. If the link is active between Nokia phone and Gg01, users can see a headset symbol in mobile phone screen or users can hear the key tone while dial up, users can also press the “Talk” button on Gg01 to make this link active.   2) Voice dial If your mobile phone supports voice dialing, you can use this feature with Gg01 headset. Please refer to your phone’s user guide for more information on voice control. If the voice tag is recorded in your Bluetooth mobile phone, just press the “Talk” button to active the connection between Gg01 and your Bluetooth mobile phone, then speak the voice tag you recorded in your phone, your Bluetooth mobile phone will automatically start dialing the number and make the phone call. Note: For Siemens S55 Bluetooth embedded phone, please press the Talk button after dial up to active the Bluetooth link. Note: For Panasonic X70 Bluetooth embedded phone users, users have to switch device to Bluetooth Link (Gg01) in the Handsfree device menu after the call is accepted.

Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 12Last call redial The Gg01 Bluetooth headset supports last call redial function, you can easily redial the last call by simply press and hold the “Vol. Down” button until you hear the notice tone in your headset, then release the button and waiting for accept call.   Note: This function only supported by Handsfree profile, if your mobile phone supports only Headset profile, this function will not be active due to the profile limitation.

Or you can end the call from the phone’s keypad or when the other side hangs up the phone, the call ends automatically.

Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 14Receiving/Answering a call If there is an incoming call while wearing the headset, you can hear a ring tone in the headset, and just press the headset’s “Talk” button to answer the call.  If you are not wearing the headset, you can see the purple indicator blinks per second to notice you place the headset on your ear in the normal wearing position and use the “Talk” button to accept the call.  If your mobile phone supports auto answering, the headset will take the incoming call and you don’t need to press any button.  Note: For Nokia Bluetooth mobile phone users: If the link is not active between mobile phone and Gg01, the incoming call won’t be transferred to Gg01.    Note: For Nokia Bluetooth mobile phone, user can hear the same sound from mobile phone while dialing keypad and waiting for accept call. If your mobile phone does not support this feature, you will hear the default sound in Gg01 to notice you the current status.

Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 15Reject a call The Gg01 Bluetooth headset supports reject incoming call from headset, when you hear the ring tone or see the purple indicator blinks per second, you can press and hold “Talk” button for 3 seconds to reject the incoming call.   Note: This function only supported by Handsfree profile, if your mobile phone supports only Headset profile, this function will not be active due to the profile limitation.

Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 16Speaker volume and volume control button The Gg01 Bluetooth headset offers adjustment of speaker volume by press the “Vol. Up” or “Vol. Down” button. You can adjust the volume in 15 pre-set levels. Each button pressed increases/decreases one volume level, you can repeat the button press until a satisfactory level is reached.  An audible tone will be played while either the minimum or maximum volume has been achieved.

You can also hear a special tone from the headset.  Once the low battery warning indicator starts, you have around 3 minutes of talk time left and you will then need to recharge the battery in the headset.

Tel: + 886- 2-8751 0222      Fax: 886-2-8751 0668 18Low signal warning When you ware the Gg01 and are too far away from your paired Bluetooth mobile phone, you will hear the warning alert every 3 seconds, and the blue indicator will blinking for every half second.  Note: Always put your Bluetooth mobile phone and Gg01 within the Bluetooth signal range to avoid signal lost. Some Bluetooth mobile phones will not automatically active the Bluetooth link after the Bluetooth signal recovered due to its Bluetooth operation mechanism.

Why I need to pair before I use Bluetooth device? -  In order to establish Bluetooth identification at both two Bluetooth devices, it is necessary to generate a identify process. It is so-called “paring”. After the “paring” process has been done, they can communicate each other more safely.  2.  What kinds of Bluetooth mobile phone I have to have in order to use the Bluetooth headset? -  You must to have a Bluetooth embedded mobile phone which support Bluetooth headset or hands free profile. Please check your mobile phone if they have Bluetooth technology before uses the Bluetooth headset.(Some Bluetooth mobile phone doesn’t support Bluetooth headset or hands free profile, so you can not use the Bluetooth headset too. Ex. Nokia 7650)  3.  Why I can’t hear the dial tone from headset when I dialing? -  Check the Bluetooth protocol of your mobile phone to see if it supports “in-band ring tone”. If it does, than you can hearing the dial tone(such as Nokia series) or you cannot if it doesn’t (such as Sony-Ericsson series).  4.  What should I suppose to do if I wish to make a voice dial from Bluetooth headset? -  Please check if your mobile phone support voice dialing function and it is strong recommend to record a voice tag from the Bluetooth headset.  5.  Why the voice quality of Bluetooth headset sometimes bad? -  Low battery or over distance will cause for bad voice quality. Please charging the headset or keep your headset and mobile phone in working distance.  6.  People whom I calling to or calls me cannot hearing my voice? -  Please check the power of the headset has turn ON and the Bluetooth link has established. If it still not work, please re-connect again. -  Try to increase the volume. -  Check if the headset on “mute” mode.  7.  The Bluetooth headset doesn’t work whatever what I do.

What’s different between the Headset profile and Hands-free profile? -  Bluetooth hands free profile support last calls redial and reject function but headset profile can not.  9.  How far a way does the Bluetooth headset work with mobile phone? -  The working distance is around 10 meters or 33 feet. But it sometimes shorter or longer depends on the radio interference.  10.  Can the Bluetooth headset communicates with laptops? -  Yes, the Bluetooth headset can communicate with other Bluetooth devices with headset or hands-free profile.  11.  Will people who use same Bluetooth headset with me hear my conversation? -  No. The Bluetooth headset just working with paired Bluetooth mobile phone. So people who own the same headset cannot communicate with your mobile phone to hearing your conversation.  12.  Will the Bluetooth headset interfere with the car radio system? -  No. The frequency of Bluetooth is higher than the radio band.  13. Why the talk time and standby time a little difference with the description as products specification? -  The talk time and stand by time will little different base on different brand’s mobile phone, different distance and different Bluetooth link status (active, sleep, sniff mode etc.).

Replacement or service must be done at a qualified service center or retuned to the manufacturer. Use only the battery supplied.  Use only the supplied and approved AC charger. G.G. Telecom warrants this product against all defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. The conditions of this warranty and our responsibilities under this warranty are as follows: 1.  The warranty is limited to the original purchaser. 2.  A copy of your receipt or other proof of or purchase is required. Without proof of purchase, your warranty is defined as beginning on the date of manufacture as labeled on the products. 3.  The warranty is void of the serial number, date code label or product label is removed. Or if the product has been subject to physical abuse, improper installation, modification, or repair by unauthorized third parties. 4.  The responsibility of G.G. Telecom products shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the product at its sole discretion. 5.  Any implied warranty on G.G. Telecom products is limited to one year from the date of purchase on all parts, including any cords and connectors. 6. Specifically exempt from any warranty are limited-life consumable components subject to normal wear and tear, such microphone, decorative finishes, batteries, and other accessories. 7. G.G. Telecom is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of any G.G. Telecom product. 8.  This warranty gives you specific rights and you may have other rights which vary from area to area. 9.  Unless otherwise instructed in the user guide, the use may not, under any circumstances attempt to perform service, adjustments or repairs on this unit, whether in or out warranty. It must be retuned to the purchase point, factory or authorized service agency for all such work. 10. G.G. Telecom will not assume any responsibility for any loss or damage incurred in shipping. Any repair work on G.G. Telecom products by unauthorized third parties voids any warranty.
