4 5Fitting to ear2.1 Open hinged ear hook as wide as possible. 1)2.2 Place headset to the ear so speaker fi ts comfortably and microphone points toward the mouth. 2.3 Close ear hook over the ear.2.4 Bend or twist fl exible part of the ear hook for fi ne adjustment.Fitting to left ear2.5 Pull ear hook hinge from the slot and insert it on opposite side of headset marked with L. Perform steps 2.1 – 2.4 above.Further adjustment2.6 Ear hook hinge can be placed in either of 2 slots, depending on size of ear.3.1 Unplug handset cord from your telephone and connect to the port on base unit marked with      .      3.2 Connect enclosed telephone cord to the now empty handset port on telephone, and to the port  on  base  unit  marked  with                        . 1)3.3 Connect AC power adapter to port on bottom of base unit, then connect to AC power source.  3. Fitting the Headset with flexible earhook1) Note: If your telephone also has a headset port, connecting the base unit directly to the telephone’s head-set port will make it unnecessary to lift the telephone handset when making/answering calls. Simply press the telephone’s headset button instead of lifting/lowering the telephone handset.1) Note: The headset is confi gured from the factory for use with the right ear.
6 73.4 Place headset in base unit charge cradle and charge a minimum of 30 min. before use. A full charge takes about 2 hours. Visual indicator on headset will fl ash green while headset is charging, and light steady green when fully charged.3.5 Turn on headset by pressing Hook button for 3 sec. (visual indicator will light green for 3 sec.), or by placing headset in base. Turn off by pressing Hook button for 3 sec. (visual indicator will light red for 3 sec.). 3.43 sec3.54.3 If dial tone is missing or unclear, slide the Clear dial tone switch on bottom of base unit through the 3 settings.4.4 Set switch to the position that gives the clearest dial tone.Setting transmit (TX) volume4.5 Make a call (see section 5) to someone who can act as a test person.4.6 Adjust outgoing volume with Transmit (TX) volume control on base unit.
