seconds), and then release (1).

and train codes, the dog owner rnuslhnd

If you are not near the dog you want to
add or you cannot put the collar iilo
pairing mode, you can add the dog using
lhe track and train codes.
1 Select Add DOG.
2 When asked if you are near the collar,

tia'ri codes, select Yes.

Dog Tracking
The handheld devlce allows you to track
your dog‘ using the tracklng compass or
map. The map displays your location and
your dog‘s location and tracks. The
compass polnter lndicates the dredion oi
the dog's current location.

the map. you must add them to the
handheld device (page 7 and page 20).
You can View the dog's locatlun and other
contacts' locations on the map.

Collar Training
Begin training your dog on a leash,
wilhout using the Alpha training system.

During the initial stage of collar
introduction, the dog learns that collar
stindation means lhe same thing as a
tug on the leash. Allirst, the dog may be
alarmed by the electronic stimulation. The
key is to be patient and consistent and no'.

fair and consistent, and use repetitio and
praise when using the collar as a training
tool.

maintains consistency.
As the dog becomes more proficient With

introduce distrachons. such as rolling a
ball in front ofthe dog or walking him it
the presence of others.

training, you can remove the leash and
train with just the collar.

can decrease the use of collar training

measures barometric information.

elevation while you are moving. Fixed
Elevation assumes the device is
stationary at a fixed eleimtion, so the
barometric pressure should change
only due to weather.
Pressure Trending Sets how the device
records pressure data. Save Always
records all pressure data. which can
he hehful when you are watching for
pressure fronts.
Plot Typo: Sets the type ofdata recorded
and displayed in the plot. Records
elevation dranges over a period of
time or distance, records barometric
