When youchange the layout of a page in a display you are interactingwith, the change appears only on that display, except forthe SmartMode name and symbol. This is due to the settings for minimum safe waterdepth and minimum safe obstacle height.5Follow the magenta line, steering to avoid land, shallowwater, and other obstacles.Copying Waypoints, Routes, and Tracks to aMemory Card1Insert a memory card into the card slot.2Select Info > User Data > Data Transfer > Save toCard.3If necessary, select the memory card to copy data to.4Select an option:•To create a new file, select Add New File, andenter a name.• To add the information to an existing file, select thefile from the list.Showing TracksFrom a chart or a 3D chart view, select Menu > ChartMenu > Waypoints and Tracks > Tracks > On.A trailing line on the chart indicates your track.Configuring the Recording Interval of the TrackLogYou can indicate the frequency at which the track plot isrecorded. Recording more frequent plots is more accuratebut fills the track log faster. The resolution interval isrecommended for the most efficient use of memory.1Select Info > User Data > Tracks > Active TrackOptions > Interval > Interval.2Select an option:• To record the track based on a distance betweenpoints, select Distance > Change, and enter thedistance.• To record the track based on a time interval, selectTime > Change, and enter the time interval.• To record the track plot based on a variance fromyour course, select Resolution > Change, andenter the maximum error allowed from the truecourse before recording a track point.Selecting a MapIf your product has both BlueChart® g2 and GarminLakeVü™ HD built-in maps, you can select which map touse. Not all models have both types of built-in maps.1From the Navigation chart, select Menu > Built-InMap.2Select an option:• When you are on an inland lake, select LakeVü™HD.• When you are offshore, select BlueChart® g2.TroubleshootingMy device is not creating waypoints in thecorrect locationYou can manually enter a waypoint location to transfer andshare data from one device to the next. If you havemanually entered a waypoint using coordinates, and thelocation of the point does not appear where the pointshould be, the map datum and position format of thedevice may not match the map datum and position formatoriginally used to mark the waypoint.Position format is the way in which the A02759 receiver's position appears on the screen. Commonly displayed as latitude/longitude in degrees and minutes, with options for degrees, minutes and second, degrees only, or one of several grid formats.Quick Start Manual 3
Map datum is a math model which depicts a part of thesurface of the earth. Latitude and longitude lines on apaper map are referenced to a specific map datum.1Find out which map datum and position format wasused when the original waypoint was created.If the original waypoint was taken from a map, thereshould be a legend on the map that lists the map datumand position format used to create that map. Most oftenthis is found near the map key.2On the chartplotter, select Settings > Preferences >Units.3Select the correct map datum and position formatsettings.4Create the waypoint again.My chartplotter will not acquire A02759 signalsIf the device is not acquiring satellite signals, there could be a few causes. L'enregistrement de tracés plus fréquents accentuela précision, mais sature plus rapidement le journal desuivi. Si vous avez saisi manuellement un waypoint àl'aide de coordonnées et si la position du point n'apparaîtpas là où elle le devrait, le système géodésique et leformat de position de l'appareil ne correspondent peut-êtrepas à ceux utilisés initialement pour marquer le waypoint.Le format de position désigne la manière dont la position du récepteur A02759 apparaît à l'écran. Elle s'affiche généralement sous forme d'une latitude/longitude en degrés et minutes, avec des options en degrés, minutes et secondes, en degrés seuls ou dans un des formats de grille.6 Manuel de démarrage rapide
Un système géodésique est un modèle mathématique quidépeint une partie de la surface de la terre. Les lignes delatitude et de longitude qui apparaissent sur une cartepapier sont référencées par rapport à un systèmegéodésique spécifique.1Trouvez le système géodésique et le format de positionutilisés lors de la création du waypoint initial.Si le waypoint initial a été obtenu à partir d'une carte,celle-ci doit comporter des indications qui énumèrent lesystème géodésique et le format de position utiliséspour créer la carte. Ces indications se trouvent le plussouvent à proximité de la légende de la carte.2Sur le traceur, sélectionnez Paramètres >Préférences > Unités.3Sélectionnez les paramètres adéquats de systèmegéodésique et de format de position.4Créez à nouveau le waypoint.Mon traceur ne reçoit pas les signaux A02759 Plusieurs causes peuvent expliquer que l'appareil n'acquière pas les signaux satellites. Si le traceur a été déplacé sur une grande distance depuis sa dernière acquisition de satellites ou s'il a été éteint pendant une période de plus de quelques semaines ou quelques mois, il risque de ne pas être en mesure de capturer correctement les signaux satellites.•Assurez-vous que l'antenne A02759 dispose d'une vue dégagée du ciel, afin qu'elle puisse recevoir les signaux A02759.S'il est installé à l'intérieur d'une cabine, alors il doit être placé à proximité d'une fenêtre pour qu'il puisse recevoir les signaux A02759.•Assurez-vous que l'antenne A02759 est connectée au réseau NMEA.•Si le traceur dispose de plusieurs sources d'antenne A02759, sélectionnez-en une autre.• Assurez-vous que votre appareil dispose de la dernièreversion du logiciel et mettez votre version à jour sibesoin (Mise à jour du logiciel, page 7).Mise à jour du logicielVous devrez peut-être mettre à jour le logiciel de l'appareillorsque vous l'installerez ou que vous ajouterez unaccessoire.Pour mettre à jour le logiciel, vous devez disposer soit d'unlecteur de carte mémoire Garmin, soit d'un autre traceurGarmin connecté au réseau Garmin Marine Network.Le lecteur de carte mémoire Garmin est un accessoirevendu séparément.Chargement du nouveau logiciel sur une cartemémoire1Insérez une carte mémoire dans le lecteur de carte SDde l'ordinateur.2Visitez le site www.garmin.com/support/software/marine.html.3 Sélectionnez Télécharger en regard de A02759Series avec carte SD.4Lisez et approuvez les conditions.5Sélectionnez Télécharger.6Sélectionnez Exécuter.7Sélectionnez le lecteur associé à la carte mémoire puissélectionnez Suivant > Terminer.Mise à jour du logiciel de l'appareilAfin de pouvoir mettre à jour le logiciel, vous devez vousprocurer une carte mémoire de mise à jour logicielle oucharger la dernière version du logiciel sur une cartemémoire.1Mettez le traceur sous tension et patientez pendant ledémarrage de l'écran d'accueil.REMARQUE : pour que les instructions de mise à jourdu logiciel apparaissent, l'appareil doit avoir étécomplètement démarré avant que la carte ne soitinsérée.2Ouvrez la trappe de la carte mémoire À.3Introduisez la carte mémoire Á et appuyez dessusjusqu'à ce qu'elle s'enclenche.4Fermez la trappe.5Suivez les instructions présentées à l'écran.6Patientez quelques minutes le temps que la procédurede mise à jour du logiciel s'exécute.L'appareil reprend son fonctionnement normal lorsquele processus de mise à jour du logiciel est terminé.7Retirez la carte mémoire.REMARQUE : si la carte mémoire est retirée avant quel'appareil ne redémarre complètement, la mise à jourdu logiciel n'est pas terminée.Manuel de démarrage rapide 7
