SUBJECT: Inaccurate Tidal Points – Oregon Coast
ISSUE
Affected maps contain incorrect tidal information for an area off the Oregon coast that
covers about 100 miles of shoreline from approximately Bandon to Waldport, resulting
in high and low tide values that are inaccurate.
DESCRIPTION
The affected tidal points are:
• Bandon
• Empire
• Coos Bay
• Umpqua River Entrance
• Gardiner
• Reedsport
• Siuslaw River Entrance
• Florence
• Waldport
• Drift Creek
The Charleston point is not affected.
CUSTOMER ACTION
Customers requiring tide information in the area of concern along the Oregon coast
from Bandon, Oregon to Waldport, Oregon must use an alternate means to identify tide
conditions.
RESOLUTION
Corrected data will be available in the first quarter of 2010. Affected customers may
email Garmin at cartography@garmin.com for information concerning replacement map
data.
