WMIM-205GN User’s Guide 11N mini PCI module Federal Communication Commission Interference Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. End Product Labeling This transmitter module is authorized only for use in device where the antenna may be installed such that 20 cm may be maintained between the antenna and users (for example : Access point, Router… mobile device.). Manual Information To the End User The OEM integrator has to be aware not to provide information to the end user regarding how to install or remove this RF module in the user’s manual of the end product which integrates this module. Features The MXF-M950913GN has the following features: l Wireless LAN Data rates of 1Mbps to 54Mbps for 802.11g and 1Mbps to 11Mbps for 802.11b. l Wireless security using WPA with TKIP encryption, 802.1X with EAP-type Authentication Hardware Installation Please follow the instruction to install your 11N mini PCI module on your system (for example, your notebook): Step 2 Press it firmly so that the contact edge is driven into the receiving socket. Software Installation Your computer comes with a unique Mini PCI Card socket, which allows the computer to add wireless LAN (IEEE802.11N). Step 1 Insert the mini-PCI at an angle of approximately 45 degrees into the empty Mini-PCI interface socket. Go to [Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager].
