INSTALLING THE BATTERIES: 0 Installing the Controller‘s Batteries Requires. SAA alkaline batteries 1. Use a Philips screwdriver to unscrew the battery door. 2. Install ALL BAA alkaline batteries. ensuring that the positive (0) and negative (-) battery ends are aligned With the "+" and markings msrde the battery compartment. as shown. . Return the batten/ door by inserting the battery door tab into the slot and tighten the screw. ‘ Installing the Launch Pad Charging Station Batteries: Requires: 80 alkaline batterres 1. You will need to fully charge your helicopter belore you can fly. IMPORTANT: FOR THE FIRST FLIGHT OF THE DAY. CHARGE YOUR HELICOPTER TWICE BEFORE FLYING. FOR SUBSEOUENT FLIGHTS ON THE SAME DAY, CHARGE ONLY ONCE. NEVER DOUBLE-CHARGE YOUR HELICOPTER AFTER THE FIRST FLIGHT! 1. Sit helicopter onto the launch pad charger. The helicopter's 4 landing gear opening's should be hooked over each ol the 4 launch rods on the charger. . Ensure that the helicopter's ON/OFF switch is set to the OFF position. Il the helicopter is not OFF, you will not be able to insert the charge nozzle for charging. , Insert the charge nozzle ALL THE WAY into the helicopter's circular charge port. 4. Move charger's ON/OFF sw1tch to the ON posmon. The green charging light Will begin to blink telling you that charging is occurring. It WIII take approximately 3 minutes to luIIy charge your helicopter. 5. When the helicopter is lully charged, the green light will stop blinking and turn to solid green. Your helicopter is now luIIy charged and you are ready to fly. IMPORTANT: It the green light does not blink. the charge nozzle may not be ALL THE WAY msrde the helicopter‘s charge port. Push the charge nozzle firmly into the charge port. DRE-FLIGHT WEATHER S LOCATION CHECK: 1. FLY ON A WARM AND SUNNY DAY, WITH NO WIND. A. DO NOT FLY IN EXTREME TEMPERATURES. FLIGHT TIME: On a lull charge. and in low wind (O-SMPHl conditions, the AIR Fox SKY RAcER Helicopter will fly lor 30 seconds-2 minutes. It your flight IS less than 30 seconds»2 minutes. you may need to change the 80 alkaline batteries in the charger. Then. recharge and try again. SAFETY FEATURE: INTERNAL TEMPERATURE SENSOR The AIR Fox SKY RACER is equipped with a bunt-in temperature sensor. It the internal temperature of the helicopter becomes too hot. the sensor will begin to AUTOMATICALLY shut down the helicopter by slowing down the rotor speed. It this happens. you helicopter will appear to be landing, The temperature gauge is installed to prevent battery overheating and helps to ensure a long lifespan tor the helicopter. LET THE HELICOPTER COOL DOWN FOR A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES AFTER EVERY 4-5 FLIGHTS! TO LAUNCH AND FLY HIGHER: Pull the trigger inwards. The AIR FOX SKY RACER Helicopter has proportional control. The harder you pull the trigger. the higher the helicopter will fly. TO CHANGE DIRECTION: Ease off on the trigger slightly. The helicopter's tail rotor WIII then rotate the helicopter. When the helicopter is pointing the way you want to go. pull hard again on the trigger. IMPORTANT: IT is NOT POSSIBLE TO ACCURATELY PRE-SELECT A LEFT on RIGHT TURN. The action of easnng oft on the trigger and then pulling the trigger to lull speed again. WIII only allow you to manipulate the area that your helicopter flies in. It will not give you the ability to turn your helicopter Ielt or right with accuracy. T0 LAND: Select a soil grassy area. Harsh landing surfaces may damage the helicopter. To land. ease oil on the trigger SLOWLY. Do not ease oli too tast. or your helicopter may come down taster than antiCipated and may become damaged. AC'Jth/i FLYING YOUR HELICOPTER Con’tJ TO STOP THE ROTOR FROM SPINNING: Push the trigger all the way outwards to brake. You Will need to continue to push the brake, or the rotor will start spinning again. TO RETRIEVE THE HELICOPTER: Once the helicopter has landed, push outwards on the controller tri ger and hold it in the lull brake posrlion while you walk to the helicopter. This Will ensure the helroopter's rotor has stopped spinnin . Continue to hold the trigger in the lull brake position, until you have reache the helicopter and successlully turned the helicopter's ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. You can now pick up the helicopter.
