Mains plug is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the mains completely, the mains plug should be disconnected form the mains socket outlet completely. 18. This unit should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except qualified service personnel. Precautions for use installation  Unpack all parts and remove protective material.  Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the mains voltage and before all other connections have been made.  Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is a space of several centimeters around the unit for ventilation. Connection 1. Connect the power cord (28) to AC outlet 2. Rotate Off/Function selector (17) to tuner position. If the radio dial is now illuminated, the power supply is normal. Now your system is ready to play the music. Listening to radio Manual tuning Switch Band selector (16) to select the desired band. (AM or FM or FM-stereo). 1. Tune to the required station by turning knob (13). 2. Adjust volume knob (8) to the desired volume level. FM & FM-stereo reception  Set the band selector (16) at “ FM ” position. Programs are received in mono mode. In particular when stereo signal are weak. It is preferable to receive the program in mono.  Set the band selector (16) at FMST position for receiving stereo programs. The FM-stereo LED indicator (6) will light up to show FM stereo program is receiving.
3 Hints for best reception:- - AM : The receiver has a built-in am bar antenna. If AM reception is weak, slightly rotate or re-positioning of the unit will usually improve the am reception. - FM : The receiver has a built-in FM wire antenna (27) hanging at the rear cabinet. This wire should be totally unraveled and extended for best reception. Playing compact discs  Getting started 1. Set the Off/Function selector (17) to CD position, open the CD compartment by pressing the CD door open button (14). Put a CD disc into the compartment by facing up and close the CD door. 2. Total number of tracks is read and shown on the LCD display (4).  Play / pause mode 1. If Play/pause button (19) is pressed during stop mode, the first track will be played and the playing track will display at the LCD display (4). 2. If Play/pause button is pressed during play mode, the unit will go into pause mode and the play indicator will flashing on LCD display (4).  Stop mode 1. If stop button is pressed during play or pause mode. The unit will go into stop mode and display the total number of track on LCD display (4).  Skip mode (skip up /skip down ) 1. During play or pause mode, if skip up button (20) is pressed it will go to next track and display the track no. and then continue the play or pause mode. 2. During play or pause mode, if skip back button (21) is pressed it will go back to the beginning of the track, same track no. is displayed and it will continue in play or pause mode. 3. After step 2, press skip back button (21) again it will go to the previous track and continue in play or pause mode. 4. To search through a track, press and hold the skip up button (20) to search forwards or the skip down button (21) to search backwards.  Repeat mode Press the repeat button (11) before or during play, a single track or all the tracks can be repeated. Each press switch the repeat mode as follow:- (1) repeat 1 (2) repeat all (3) repeat off repeat mode indicator repeat 1 repeat all repeat off ----------------- CD programming Up to 20 tacks can be programmed for disc play in any order. Before use, be sure to press the stop button. 1. Set in CD mode. 2. Press the Program button (10) and the PROG indicator will light up & flashing. 3. Select a desired track by using the skip buttons (20/21). 4. Press the Program button (10) to enter the track into the memory. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter additional tracks into the memory if necessary. 6. When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press Play/pause button (19) to play the disc in the order you have programmed. 7. Press stop button to terminate program play. Phono noted: - Remove the stylus protector. - Be sure that the tone arm is detached from the tone arm rest before operating and re-secured again afterwards.
4 1. Set the Off/Function selector (17) to Phono/Aux/Bluetooth position and keep the Phono/Bluetooth button (9) in high level (Phono/Aux). 2. Set the speed selector to the proper position depending on the record to be played. 3. Place the record on the platter (use the spindle adaptor if required). 4. Lift the tone arm from the rest and slowly move it to the record side. The platter will start to rotate. 5. Place the tone arm to the desired position on the record. 6. Adjust the volume to the desired level. 7. At the end of record, the platter will automatically stop rotating. Lift the tone arm from the record and return it to the rest. 8. To stop manually, lift the tone arm from the record and return it to the rest. Remark : For some records the auto-stop area will be out of the unit setting, so it will stop before the last track finish. In this case, select the auto-stop switch (24) to “ off “ position, then it will run to the end of the record but will not stop automatically (turn off the unit by power button or switch back the auto-stop switch to “ on “ position to stop the platter rotating). Then put the tone arm back to the rest position. Remark : Due to Phono and Aux design in same channel of this unit, once the Aux in jack (29) plugged by any 3.5mm stereo plug, the Phono function will change to Aux in automatically and the turntable will stop to spin. Made sure the Aux In jack (26) without plugged by anything before playing phono. Aux-in connection Connect another audio device, e.g. (portable) CD player, MP3 player, to this system via a provided cord with 3.5mm dia plug. Connect one end of this cord to the 3.5mm dia. headphone jack on the external device and the other end to the Aux-in jack (29) on the back of the unit. Set the Off/Function selector (17) to Phono/Aux/Bluetooth position and keep the Phono/Bluetooth button (9) in high level (Phono). When connected in this way it is possible to play back the music already on the connected device and the portable device such as mobile phone, portable MP3 player…etc Bluetooth connecting and Playback 1. Set the Off/Function selector (17) to Phono/Bluetooth position and keep the Phono/Bluetooth button (9) in low level (Bluetooth). 2. The Bluetooth LED indicator (5) will flashing, it means the Bluetooth in non connection / searching mode. 3. Switch on the Bluetooth feature of your Bluetooth device (such as mobile phone) and select “ Goldsound ” Bluetooth equipment to connecting. 4. Once the connecting was finish and connect successfully, the Bluetooth LED (10) will change to light up. 5. Start to playback your Bluetooth device and enjoy the music by the main unit. Remark : For convenience re-connect to another Bluetooth device. Press and hold the Play button (2), main unit will disconnect with the existing Bluetooth device. Repeat step 3 again to connect another Bluetooth device. Line out connection You can connect the system to your whole hi-fi system by connecting the line out socket (26) to the auxiliary input socket with a RCA cable (not included). 5
