WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN YOUR CHROMECAST BOX:

Chromecast: Your Chromecast plugs into any HDMI port on your TV, and uses your existing
Wi­Fi network to stream video from the internet to your TV. A Chromecast is controlled from
devices on the same Wi­Fi network, such as smart phones, tablets, or computers, and is
powered using the USB cable (#2).
USB cable: The USB cable provides power to your Chromecast. One end plugs into your
Chromecast, and the other end plugs into either a USB port on your TV, or the power supply
(#3). DO NOT PLUG THE USB CABLE INTO A PORT LABELED “SERVICE”; IT MUST BE

Power supply: The power supply is optional, and can be used with the USB cable to power
your Chromecast if your TV does not have a USB port.
HDMI extender: The HDMI extender is optional, and can be used if your Chromecast does not
fit directly into your TV. The Chromecast app may also recommend using it to improve your
Wi­Fi reception. Attach between your Chromecast and TV.

Chromecast may get hot to the touch; this is normal. Unplug Chromecast’s power source and
let it cool before removing it from your television.
Use only the cables and plugs provided with your device to plug Chromecast into a power
source. Using other cables or plugs may damage Chromecast and/or your television.
Do not expose Chromecast or the power supply to water or extreme conditions (moisture, heat,
cold, dust), as Chromecast or the power supply may malfunction or cease to work when
exposed to such elements.
Do not attempt to disassemble or repair Chromecast yourself. Doing so voids the limited
warranty and could harm you, your television, and/or Chromecast.
Chromecast is an entertainment device; it is not designed, manufactured or intended for use in
hazardous environments requiring fail­safe performance in which the failure of Chromecast
could lead directly to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage.
Take care when handling the power supply to avoid electric shock.

NOTE ON INTERFERENCE IN A RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATION
This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part
15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference
in a residential installation. Chromecast generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If
Chromecast does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
plugging in, then unplugging, Chromecast, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by
reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna and/or consulting the dealer or an experienced radio/TV
technician for help.
Chromecast complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1)
the device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the
user’s authority to operate Chromecast or warranty.

To satisfy FCC exposure requirements, a separation distance of at least 20 cm should be maintained
between the antenna of this device and persons during device operation. Operations at closer than this

The antenna used for this transmitter must not be co­located in conjunction with any other antenna or
transmitter.
