The MX900H is powered from its USB connection and is suitable for use inside a vehicle along with other mobile equipment or in a fixed monitoring location such as a security office. With Proper attention given to these important items, optimum perfomance can be achieved for most applications: 1. For Vehicle Installation the MX900H must be mounted in an area inside where the antenna has a clear, unobstructed path to the outside environment. A typical location for the MX900H would be on a front or rear window, or a backseat side window inside a vehicle. 2. Fixed Location Installation the MX900H must be mounted in an area where the antenna has a clear, unobstructed path to the environment where the Transmitting PASS (man-down alarm) or SuperCELL® may be used. A typical location for the MX900H would be near an unobstructed office window or mounted outside the office and away from any metal surfaces. 3. The MX900H should also be located as far away as possible from other radio equipment antennas. This includes cell phone boosters, wifi, and other 2-way radio equipment antennas. It is also recommended to keep the MX900H antenna a minimum of six inches away from metal surfaces. NOTE: Always mount MX900H in a vertical orientation 4. MX900H comes with 6 feet of shielded cable with a USB connection. 5. System Check of the MX900H can be done by viewing the Receive Indicator LED located on the surface of the case. When a SuperCELL® or TPASS® is turned On, Off, or by activating the Alarm, the radio signal will cause the Amber/Yellow Receive LED to flash several times - indicating signals are successfully being received by the MX900H. MX900H Micro Transceiver Specifications Size: 2.0 x 3.0 x .75 inches; Antenna 1.7 inches long Frequency Range: 902-928 MHz (frequency hopping spread spectrum) FCC ID: J5MXHEM -- Meets FCC Part 15 Industry Canada ID: 5916A-MXHEM -- Complies with Canadian ICES-003 Compatibility: Grace Industries Radio-H SuperCELL® and TPASS®3 personal safety and monitoring products Data Output: Serial USB 2.0, 38400bps ASCII encoded numeric data The MX900H Micro Transceiver data output can be monitored with a PC using a terminal emulation program (such as Windows HyperTerminal) using the following settings: 38400 bps, N-8-1, no flow control, VT100 emulation. NOTE: Drivers MUST be installed before connecting to PC.
