DOORBELL INSTALLATION GUIDE
Note: For Mechanical Chime Instructions.
For this model Number WM‐WDB2 the Micro SD card of 16 GB will come pre‐installed.
STEP #1
CHECK WI-FI SIGNAL IN THE DOORBELL FINAL LOCATION BEFORE
INSTALLATION


Prior to installing your new Night Owl Doorbell please make sure your current Doorbell works. If
the current Doorbell chime doesn’t work, please consult an electrician prior to continue with the
installation.
Using a mobile device verify you have at least 50% Wi‐Fi signal strength where your current
doorbell is located.
STEP #2
PREPARING NIGHT OWL DOORBELL FOR SET UP ON APP





Remove all the content from the box.
Locate the gateway/router in the home/business and be in close proximity (within the same
room)
Remove the outer cover of the doorbell to connect the supplied micro USB to provide power to
the doorbell for set up.
Using a USB power supply from your device connect it to the other end and plug it into the
electrical outlet.
The doorbell will power up and will soon be ready for pairing. Listen for the audio messages,
“Doorbell is in paring mode”. “PAIRING MODE” status is identified also by the LEDs “Spinning” in
“White” in “Clockwise” direction.

** If your doorbell chime does not work you need to install the Night Owl power kit and change the
settings on the app to Digital Chime.
To use a digital door chime, follow these instructions.
1. Turn doorbell chime breaker off
2. Remove doorbell chime cover to expose doorbell wires.
3. Place power kit inside the digital door chime.
4. Loosen the terminal screw to place one wire in each of the connected terminals. Take care not
to remove the wires connected to the chime terminals.
5. Tighten screw and reinstall the doorbell chime cover.
6. Lastly, using the mobile application go to doorbell settings and select Digital Chime.
7. Turn breaker back on and enjoy your Night Owl Doorbell.
