Wrong operation may cause damage to internal components. ODD not drop or hit the product, otherwise it will easily lead to damage to internal components. 0For safety reasons, keep this product and accessories away from children or animals to avoid accidents. oDo not place the camera in damp or dusty environment for long time. It may lead a fire caused by leakage. oDo not expose the camera to high temperature for long time, this may cause damages to the camera housing and internal components. oln order to maximize the effectiveness ofthe battery, camera is recommended to be used at temperature -10 °~70 °. oBefore inserting or swapping a memory card, please make sure that the camera is turned off to prevent damage to the card or stored data. It is a normal phenomenon that temperature rises during the camera in usage. oDo not touch the lens during using to avoid affecting the shooting effects. oClean the lens with a hairdryer (special lens blowing device) or use a special mirror cloth to wipe the lens, clean the surface fingerprints or dust. Under standby: Short press to swicth between starting video, taking a photo and playback mode. .[OK] Button: Under standby, short press to start video, stop video ortake a photo. Under play back mode, short press to play or stop video playing back. Under system setting, short press to enter/confirm the menu option. Under screen locked, short press to unlock. Under video recording, long press to pause taking video and Down Loudspeaker hole short press to continue recording. Under play back mode, long press to delete the displaying video. -[A Up] Button: under standby, short press to enter menu of video or photo. Under menu setting, press to select menu. Under play back mode, press to fast forward. Under standby mode, long press to turn WlFl on or off. o[V Down] Button: under standby mode, short press to enter current mode setting or system setting. oTouch symbolE at the top left corner or slide up on screen to enterfunction-option page. sSlide right to enter playback mode. Under play back mode, slide right or left to switch files. IUnder playing back mode, slide left/right to previewfiles. ITouchasymbol at the left button comerto enter current mode detail options and basic setting options. Touch any option to complete related setting. oUnder Video mode, touch red round symbol. to start and stop video. Under Photo mode, touch cube symbol I to take a photo. oUnder screen locked slide from left to right to unlock the screen.“ oTouch voice control symbol-on the top of screen to turn on/off the voice control function. Auto-lock Screen is locked after 1 minute no operation defaultly. Ways to unlock screen: 1. Press OK button when screen shows ”slide to unlock" to unlock screen. 2. Slide on screen from left to right to unlock the screen to enter normal operation. 3. Press any button on remote controllerto unlock. Battery Ch rging Connect camera to power source with USB cable. Red indicator keeps on during charging, and indicator turns off after battery is fully charged. Warm Tips: oln order to improve the charging efficiency, please charge battery when camera is turned off. oMake sure that charger is connected correctly to power sources. Insert or Extract Memory Card 1. Insert memory card to make sure that camera can take videos normally. 2. Extract memory card by light pressing the card until it pops. Warm Tips: Please make sure that memory card is inserted in right direction. Wrong direction may damage the camera and memory card. Connectwith Computer 1. Read Files Connect camera to computer with USB cable, there are Storage and PC Camera displaying on the screen, press UpA or Doan to select Storage, then press OK, or touch Storage on the screen. Unfold Novatek file in the removable disk, there are Movie and Photo files. 2.Turn on PC Camera Connect camera to computer with USB cable, there are Storage and PC Camera displaying on the screen, press UpA or Down V to select PC Camera, then press OK, ortouch PC Camera on the screen. Turn on the camera on computer. Notes: Camera turns off automatically when camera disconnected from computer. Turn On/Off Camera 1.Turn On Camera Short press Power button,camera is turned on with a beep sound. Camera is defaulted with 3 mins loop recording, and ready to take video. Symbols of Video, time of loop recording, Exposure, WDR, video lasting time, resolution, white balance, audio recording, memory card, battery, date and time can be seen on the screen. 2.Turn Off Camera a. Long press Power button for 3 seconds to turn offthe camera with a beep sound. b. Turn offthe camera by voice control when the voice control function is activated. Menu Introduction Short press Power button to enter Video Mode, Photo Mode, Play Back Mode. System Setting Under standby, touch the setting symbolfl at left bottom to enter current mode setting and system menu setting.Touch the setting symbolato enter system setting. System Setting menu as follow: 1) Language: ~ ENGLlSH/FRANCAIS/ESPANOL/Portuguese/DEU TSCH/lTALANO/i‘afiilii CF WSW; tr X/PYCCKVIVI/Ei ztia/ Poem/slam 2) Date/Time: SetYear/Month/Date and Time by touching Up or Down arrows to modify the numbers, and touching v' to confirm 10 11 3)Auto-Lock: Off/30s/1 min/3mins. Default to screen protected after 1min 4)Auto Power Off: Off/ 1Minute/ 3Minutes/ 5Minutes/ 10Minutes. Camera is defaulted to power off after 3 minutes no operation. Select to close auto power off function. 5)Voice prompt: ON/OFF 6) Frequency: 50Hz/60Hz 7) TV Mode: NTSC/PAL 8) TV: OFF/ON 9)Voice Control: OFF/ON 0) Spot Metering: Off/On ) Delete files: OK/NO. Select OKto delete all unlocked files. 12) Lock all files: select OK to lock all files. 13) Unlock all files: select OK to unlock all files. 14) Format: OK/NO. Touch OK to formatthe memory card, please select OK carefully. Warm Tips: Please format TF card in camera at the first time using. If it's formatted on computer, please select 32K or 64K allocation unit. 15) Return menu setting to defaults: OK/NO. Select OK to delete all previous setting, and restore factory defaults. 16) Version: display current version information of firmware. Firmware may be updated accordingly, please follow the actual version. _x_x Video Mode 1.Video E Three ways to take video: press OK button to take video when camera is turned on; touch Video symbol on the right side; voice control. Video symbol and blue working indicator flashing, video resolution displaying on screen during recording video. When memory card is full, video stops automatically. Press OK button again to stop video and file is saved. Video remaining time shows on the top of screen during video standby. Notes: 1) Long press Down button to pause video, and short press OK button again to continue video. File is not saved when Video paused, will be saved when Video stops. 2) Touch video symbol on screen to start or stop video. 3) Turn Voice Control on, when camera is controlled with voice control , and pay attention to the language setting. In English, “Video Start" or“Stop Video". 2.Time-lapse Record Interval time can be set under Time-lapse mode. Switch camera to video standby status, press OK to take a video, press OK again to stop a video. Video plays faster when it’s played back. Such function can be used to take video of a project progress, weather variations, flower blooming, etc. 12 13 Switch menu to turn off Time-lapse mode to restore normal video mode. Note: Interval time can be set underthe menu. This mode is used for long time recording only, and video time should be no shorterthan 1 minute. 3 Slow Motion: Touch the Slow Motion icon to capture a slow motion. HD P120 and VGA 240 can be selected. 4. Timing Photoa Set time to automatically capture during long time recording video, timing at 55/105/303. 5. Loop Recording Loop Recording can be set for 3/5/10 minutes. When memory card is full, the firstvideo is covered so as to keep recording. 6. Motion Detection Select Motion Detection on, then switch to video standby, camera starts video when something moves in front of camera. Camera stops recording if no motion detected in 10 seconds, and keeps monitoring. Press OK button to stop video and stop monitoring to enter video standby status. Note: Time-lapse and Motion Detection cannot be activated at the same time. 7. Video+Photo Press Power button to capture an image during video, photo symbol flashes at the top middle of screen. Video keeps recording when capture. Review the photo underthe playback mode. 8. Setting Menu ofVideo Mode Screen displays current system setting and all functions activated. Touch bottom left icon to enterto Burst Setting Menu, and to choose Single /Burst 3 / Burst 5/Burst 10. SeIfTimer Touch upper left icon or slide up the screen to enter Menu Mode. Click Photo icon to enterto Still Mode. Click bottom left icona to enter Photo Setting Menu, click “SelfTimer” button to choose Off/ ZS Timer/ 5S Timer/10$ Timer. Click bottom Touch upper left icon or slide up thegreen to left icon to Exit setup menu. Click “OK" button, camera will take photos under chosen Timer. Quick Review Mode Click Quick Review button under Photo mode to look atjust taken pictures when you think go back to playback menu is bothering. Quick Review can be set up for 2 seconds and 5 seconds. Camera will go back to Photo mode only when the standby time go pass the chosen time. Photo Mode Menu When the camera is under Photo Mode (Screen shows E ), click bottom left icon a to enter Photo mode setting menu. Enter playback mode by pressing the Power button. In video standby mode, press "Power" button twice, then pressA / V key to choose videos and pictures. Press "OK" button to review the chosen videos or pictures. Press "OK" button one more time to stop, and press another time to review again. Click “ y" for fast playback the Video, press "OK" button to stop fast playback. Click “4 "for rewind playback the video, press "OK“ button to stop rewind playback. 2. Enter playback mode by touching the screen. Slide to the right, enter playback mode. Then slide to the left or right to choose the playback videos and pictures. 3. In playback mode, touch the screen to enter 17 shortcut menu icon I" . Select Sudoku mode icon to have quick review when there are plenty photos and videos in memory card. Select files by slide left or right; slide up or down to turn to another page. Touch any photo to read or video to playback. 4. Touch play symbol to play back the video, and touch again to pause playing, touch return symbol to turn back to the beginning of the video. Note: Image and Video symbol on screen ar ifferent. Screen display: AP mode SSID:: MGCOOL Explorer 20 PWA2: 12345678 Refresh W|F|_OFF 18 oFind camera WIFI through WLAN under mobile phone setting, input password to connect camera with mobile phone. Camera returns to video standby mode after WIFI is connected successfully, WIFI ON symbol shows at the left bottom on screen and yellow indicator lit. Then, run the APP to control camera to take photo or video on mobile phone. Warm Tips: The WIFI is automatically turned offwhen there is no operation in more than 3 minutes. View Files on TV ’l.Connect to HD Television Turn on camera, connect camera and Television with HDMI cable (not included in accessories), and set Television to HDMI mode. Television displays all operations of camera. 2.Connect to normalTelevision Turn on camera, connect camera with Television with TV cable, set Television to TV mode. Turn on TV output on camera. Television displays all operations of camera. Note: TV or HDMI cable is an optional accessory. The TV cable is for image output only, no audio output. Wireless Remote Controller Function 1.Remote controller matching needed at the first time using:press Video and Photo buttons on the 19 controller at the same time for more than 5 seconds, release until Red indicator and Blue indicator flashes alternately. Then, turn on camera. Remote controller searches for camera and matches automatically. Indicators turn off when match is finished. If indicators don‘tflash when pressing buttonsforSS, it means camera and remote controller are matched successfully. 2.Short press Video button to switch camera to video mode and start or stop video, and restore camera in video standby mode. Long press Video button for more than 2 seconds, camera screen turns off, any button pressed, screen turns on again. 3.Short press Photo (Camera) to switch camera to photo mode and take a photo. Short press Photo button to capture a photo during taking video. GPS Function Plug GPS loggerto USB connector on camera, camera records location in the video. Video and motion trails can be displayed on specified PC player.
