Connect the iPod®tothe vehicle after stopping or paus-ing play.• Connect the iPod®with the vehiclein the ACC ON state to begincharging.• When connecting the iPod®cable,be sure to fully push the cable intothe port.• When EQ effects are enabledsimultaneously on externaldevices, such as iPod®s and theaudio system, the EQ effects mayoverlap, causing sound qualitydeterioration or distortion.Deactivate the EQ function for allexternal devices, if possible.• Noise may occur when your iPod®or the AUX port is connected.Disconnect and store separatelywhen not in use.(Continued)(Continued)• There may be noise if the audiosystem is used with an iPod®orAUX external device connected tothe power jack. Audio system395Voice Recognition (if epuipped)✽NOTICE - Using the VoiceRecognition• Voice recognition is a safety tech-nology that recognizes user voicecommands and executes multime-dia functions during driving.• Unfortunately, due to technicallimitations, the system is unable torecognize all voice commands. Toaddress these limitations, the voicecommands that the system recog-nizes are displayed on the screen.Use the displayed commands.• Because human speech varies,voice recognition is sometimesunable to properly recognize uservoice commands. In these cases,repeat the voice command dis-played on the screen, or use thebutton on the screen to execute thedesired function.Precautions to ensure smooth voicerecognition• If the language setting isSlovakian, Hungarian or Korean,voice recognition is not supported.• Voice recognition only supportsvoice commands indicated on-screen or in the user manual.• For proper voice recognition,speak after the beep, whichsounds after voice notification.• Voice recognition automaticallystops in the following events.1) Outgoing and incoming phone calls.2) Media (USB, etc.) is connected(voice recognition mode is main-tained when iPod®s are connected).3) Rear camera is activated (option).4) Vehicle is started or engine isturned off.5) Screen transition buttons, suchas [RADIO] or [MEDIA], areselected.6) When a pop-up message is dis-played on the screen due toaccidental execution of the voicerecognition function.• The voice recognition microphoneis located above the driver’s seat.To ensure proper voice recogni-tion, state voice commands whilemaintaining proper driving posture.• Better voice recognition is possibleif you speak naturally and clearly,as you would in normal conversa-tion.• In the following situations, outdoornoise may prevent proper voicerecognition.1) Wind noise from an open win-dow or sunroof may disruptvoice recognition.2) Operating the climate blower ata high level may cause windnoise that disrupts voice recog-nition.
