If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this document as soon as possible. Important SAFETY Information Assembly Precautions 1. Do not exceed 600 lb. max. weight capacity. Be aware of dynamic loading! Sudden load movement may briefly create excess load causing product failure. 2. Use only on flat, level surface able to support the weight of the Extra Wide Hand Truck and the load being transported. 3. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly. 4. Assemble only according to these instructions. Improper assembly can create hazards. 5. Keep load center and balanced during use. 6. Keep one hand on top of load being transported. If possible, keep load strapped to Hand Truck. 7. Do not assemble when tired or when under the influence of drugs or medication. 8. This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with or near this item. 9. Use this Extra Wide Hand Truck for intended purpose(s) only. 10. Inspect before use; do not use if parts are loose or damaged. 11. Maintain product labels and nameplates. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement. Rev 09e; 10e Assembly Instructions 1. For assembly, slide the Axle (2) through the top hole in the left hand side of the lower Frame (1), Washer (4), Spacer (6), Wheel (3), and Washers (4). Continue the assembly, running the axle through Washer (4), Wheel (3), Spacer (6), Washer (4), and out through the upper hole of the Frame on the right hand side of the truck. Attach one washer at each outer end of the axle and insert a Locking Pin (5) through the Axle and spread the Pins’ ends to lock. See Figure 1, below. Washer (4) Wheel (3) Wheel Washer (4) (3) 4. Move cautiously, keeping the load balanced on the Wheels to prevent spilling. 5. Keep one hand on top of the load being transported to steady it. 6. When you arrive at the load destination, hold the load and slowly lower the Hand Truck. 7. Lift the items off the Hand Truck from the top down, placing them where they are to be kept or stored. 8. Lift the Folding Platform to the “up” position for convenient storage. MAINTENANCE instructions 1. Wipe down the Hand Truck Frame with a clean, soft cloth. 2. Inspect before every use for cracks, loose parts and proper Wheel inflation (30 PSI). If anything abnormal is found, do not use the Hand Truck until it is repaired. Do not use damaged tools. Place a drop of lubricating oil on the axle where each Wheel would be and spread the wheels, and the washers to each end. Insert a Locking Pin (5) through the Axle and spread their ends to lock. NOTE: Make sure Metal Spacers are set between each of the Wheels and the sides of the Truck Frame. If not, the Wheels will rub up against the Frame. operation instructions 1. Lower the Folding Platform (7). 2. Place the load onto the Folding Platform against the Hand Truck Frame. 3. Tilt the Hand Truck backward until the load feels balanced. For light but bulky items, keep the Folding Platform unfolded. For heavier items, keep it folded. See next page. All hardware (Axle, Washers, pins, and Spacers) are taped to the Frame’s crossbar. Hand Truck With Folded Platform Hand Truck With Unfolded Platform LIMITED 90 DAY WARRANTY Harbor Freight Tools Co. makes every effort to assure that its products meet high quality and durability standards, and warrants to the original purchaser that this product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period of 90 days from the date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage due directly or indirectly, to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents, repairs or alterations outside our facilities, criminal activity, improper installation, normal wear and tear, or to lack of maintenance. We shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons or property, or for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness. To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair or replace the product at our election or we may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly provide you with a replacement. We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product.
