Turn meter over, grasp batter cover, and slide in direction of arrow. Page 4 2. Remove insulating paper from between the batteries, and then close battery cover. Item 67143 Meter Uses The Digital Mini Moisture Meter can be used to measure environmental temperature and the moisture of cut timber, paper, cardboard, mortar, concrete, and plaster. Page 5 Operating Instructions 1. Turning Unit On: Press button once. 2. Selecting Measurement Mode: a. Press and hold button for about 3 seconds to enter setting mode. (Reading will disappear and a symbol will flash on and off in the LCD display.) b. While symbol is flashing, press and release button to cycle through the four different operating modes: c. When flashing symbol for the desired mode is displayed, release the ON/SET button. The system will lock onto the selection d. Remove Probe Cover. Page 6 3. Performing Measurement: a. Temperature is displayed immediately after selecting Celsius or Fahrenheit Mode. b. Measure moisture by driving probes into wood or material being measured. 4. Wipe clean with moist cloth as needed. 2. When the Replace Low Battery indicator is displayed, replace batteries. 3. For extended storage, remove the batteries and keep the Moisture Meter in a dry location in temperatures between -10° ~ 50°celsius or -14° ~ 122°farenheit. Item 67143 4. To replace batteries: turn meter over, grasp battery cover and slide in direction of arrows as shown in photo below. Be sure polarity is correct when replacing batteries.
