The vehicle is equipped with the info-telematics Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) System, an advanced user interfacewhich combines innovative and exclusive technical features combining entertainment, user settings, air conditioning,navigation, communication and information functions within a single system.The MTC+ system comes equipped with an audio system, acoustically optimized for this vehicle.The vehicle is provided with this specific add to the Owner’s Manual, describing the MTC+ system fully and listing allwarnings and precautions for use, which are essential for safe use of the system. Intended UseGenerally recognized rules of radiotechnology were maintained duringthe development and manufacture ofthis system. When using this product,be aware of state/province-specificnorms and guidelines.Navigation System (ifequipped) — SafetyPrecaution and ImportantInformationRead this information carefully beforestarting to operate the NavigationSystem and follow the instructions inthis manual. Maserati shall be liablefor problems or accidents resultingfrom failure to observe theinstructions in this manual.Failure to avoid the followingpotentially hazardous situations couldresult in an accident or collisionresulting in death or serious injury.• Always use your best judgment, andoperate the vehicle in a safe manner.Do not become distracted by theNavigation System while driving, andalways be fully aware of all drivingconditions. Minimize the amount oftime spent viewing the NavigationSystem screen while driving and usevoice prompts when possible.• Do not input destinations, changesettings, or access any functionsrequiring prolonged use of theNavigation System controls whiledriving. Pull over in a safe and legalmanner before attempting suchoperations.• When navigating, carefully compareinformation displayed on theNavigation System to all availablenavigation sources, including roadsigns, road closures, road conditions,traffic congestion, weatherconditions, and other factors thatmay affect safety while driving. Forsafety, always resolve anydiscrepancies before continuingnavigation, and defer to posted roadsigns and road conditions.• The Navigation System is designed toprovide route suggestions. It is not areplacement for driver attentivenessand good judgment. Do not followroute suggestions if they suggest anunsafe or illegal maneuver or wouldplace the vehicle in an unsafesituation.• Be careful of the ambienttemperature. Using the NavigationSystem at extreme temperatures canlead to malfunction or damage. Itdoes not reflect road closures or roadconditions, weather conditions, orother factors that may affect safety ortiming while driving.Use the Navigation System only as anavigational aid. Do not attempt touse the Navigation System for anypurpose requiring precisemeasurement of direction, distance,location, or topography.The Global Navigation Satellite Systemis subject to changes that could affectthe accuracy and performance of allGPS equipment, including theNavigation System.System CareSafe usage of the MTC+ SystemRead all instructions in this manualcarefully before using your system toensure proper usage! Your system is asophisticated electronic device. Do notlet young children use your system.Permanent hearing loss may occur ifyou play your music or the system atloud volumes. Exercise caution whensetting the volume on your system.Driving is a complex activity thatrequires your full attention. If you’reengaged in driving or any activity thatrequires your full attention, werecommend that you do not use yoursystem.NOTE:Many features of this system are speeddependent. For your own safety, it isnot possible to use the touch screenkeyboard while the vehicle is inmotion. Keep drinks, rain, and othersources of moisture away from yoursystem. Besides damage to yoursystem, moisture can cause electricshocks as with any electronic device.ConnectionsNever force any connector into theports of your system.Make sure your connectors are thecorrect shape and size before youconnect.Any attached cable should be routedso that it will not apply any pressure tothe connection and should notobstruct the driver operation.Touch screenDo NOT attach any object to the touchscreen, doing so can result in damageto the touch screen.Do not touch the screen with any hardor sharp objects (pen, USB stick,jewelry, etc.) which could scratch thetouch screen surface!Safety Guidelines18
NOTE:It is possible to use a plastic stylus forpress screen enabled devices such as aPDA and Pocket PCs. Do not spray anyliquid or caustic chemicals directly onthe screen! Use a clean and dry microfiber lens cleaning cloth in order toclean the touch screen. If necessary,use a lint-free cloth dampened with acleaning solution, such as isopropylalcohol, or an isopropyl alcohol andwater solution ratio of 50:50. Be sureto follow the solvent manufacturer’sprecautions and directions.GPS Navigation and SatelliteRadio AntennaThe GPS navigation and satellite radioantenna is integrated into the fin onthe roof of the vehicle. Do not placeitems on the roof around the roof topantenna location. Objects placedwithin the line of sight of the antennawill cause decreased performance.Larger luggage items should be placedas far from the antenna as possible.Do not place items directly on orabove the antenna.Other Electronic DevicesYou may bring other electronic devicesinto your vehicle (e.g., PDA, iPod, etc.).Some of these devices may causeelectromagnetic interference with theGPS. Quick DescriptionPhone ButtonPressing the Phone button it ispossible to: activate the phone mode,start a call, show recent incoming andoutgoing calls, show contacts list, etc.All these functions can also be reachedby using the touch screen commandson the MTC+ display in “Phone” mode.When pressing the button anaudible sound will invite you to imparta command.Voice Command ButtonBy using voice commands, afterpressing the button, it is possibleto control the AM and FM radio, thesatellite radio and all devicesconnected and managed by the“Media” mode (i.e SD card, USB/iPodplayer).When pressing the button anacoustic signal will invite to give avoice command.Steering Wheel Audio ControlsThese audio controls are rocker-typeswitches with a button in the centerand are located on the rear side of thesteering wheel, right behind the frontswitches.Press any button to displayinformation on the radio station ortrack being listened to inside a pop-upfor 2 seconds on instrument cluster.The right-hand control manages thevolume.By pressing the top of the rockerswitch you can increase the volumeand by pressing the bottom of therocker switch you can lower it. Pressthe center button to mute the volume.The left-hand control functionsdepend on the current source. Tochange source, press the centerbutton.When in “Radio” mode, pressing thetop of the switch will “Seek” up forthe next listenable station andpressing the bottom of the switch will“Seek” down for the previouslistenable station.When an external source is connectedto MTC+, a light press on the top ofthe switch will play the next track onthe device connected.Pressing the bottom of the switch oncewill go to the beginning of the currenttrack, or to the beginning of theprevious track if it is within one secondafter the current track begins to play.If you press the switch up or downtwice, it plays the second track; threetimes, it will play the third, etc.MicrophonesThe microphones placed behind thegrilles on either side of the front domeconsole allows to give voice commandswith hands-free function. See “VoiceRecognition Quick Tips” in section 8for more details.Volume ControlWorking this knob in “Radio” or“Media” mode, user can adjust thevolume of the radio or audio files,from minimum to maximum and viceversa. Turn knob clockwise to increasethe volume, counterclockwise todecrease it. the radio stations or scroll the tracksinside connected external devices andconfirm the selection by pressing enterbutton.In any other mode of the MTC+, usethis knob to scroll the list of availableoptions or to manage the cursormovement in the lower bar of themain menu. Then press enter buttonto confirm the function or settinghighlighted on MTC+ display.Enter ButtonPress this button to confirm thefunction or setting highlighted onMTC+ display.Browse buttonAfter selecting a function, using thetune/scroll knob or soft-keys on MTC+display, press this button to see thedetail of the items/options of theselected function. This button is alsoused as short cut to display the phonebook, when the “Telephone” menu isselected, or the favorites when the“Nav (Navigation)” menu is selected.Back buttonPress this button to go back toprevious menu or previous screen.Press this button to shift thenavigation one level backwards onMTC+ screen. If it is pressed and heldfor at least 2 seconds, it brings thecursor back in the lower bar of themain menus.Media InputsThe inputs for front passengers arelocated inside the glove boxcompartment of the dashboard and inthe compartment at the front end ofthe central console. To access thecentral console inputs, push the lid toopen completely.In the central console compartmentthere are a AUX input, compatibleonly with 3,5 mm jack connectors (notincluded), a USB port for dataexchange (see section "Media Mode"for further details) and an SD Memorycard slot.To insert a memory card into the slot,lift the tab with the "SD" indicationand push it inside the slot. To extractit, press lightly on the card.For rear seat passengers, there are twoUSB inputs inside the compartmentlocated on the rear end of the centralconsole, above the air vents. To accessthis USB inputs open the outside cover.The USB inputs in the glove box and atthe rear end of the central consoleallow charge (CHARGE ONLY label) ofthe connected source.Power OutletsTo access the power outlet inside thefront cup holder, press the cover toopen completely. Remove thecigarette lighter and use its socket aspower outlet.To access the power outlet locatedinside the glove box of the centralconsole you need to open thehalf-lids.There is another power outlet in thecompartment at the rear end of thecentral console.To access the power outlet, push thelid to open completely.Touch Screen DisplayThe soft keys located on the lowerpart of the MTC+ display represent themain menu modes/functions, whichare briefly indicated below.Devices, Controls and Buttons215
1. “Radio” soft-keyTouch this soft-key to enter theRadio mode. The different tunermodes: FM, AM, MW, LW, SW, DAB,DAB+ and DMB (if equipped) canbe selected by touching the relatedsoft-keys in the Radio mode.2. “Media” soft-keyTouch this soft-key to access mediasources such as: USB Device, AUX,Bluetooth (if equipped) and SD cardas long as the requested media ispresent.3. “Controls” soft-keyTouch this soft-key to access thecontrols that can be set up. Controlssuch as: Heated Seats, HeatedSteering Wheel, Ventilated Seats,etc. can be selected or turnedon/off by touching the relatedsoft-key. For further details see theOwner's Manual.4. The MTC+ Access features musthave an operable 3G (data) networkconnection and you must beregistered with MTC+ Access with anactive subscription. Only voicecommands, the MTC+ Access App andVia Mobile Apps require a compatibledevice to work with your MTC+ Accesssystem.Yelp SearchUse Yelp to search for places to eat,shop, relax and play.DescriptionYelp is a familiar, widely used websiteand mobile App that connects peopleto great local businesses. Now withMTC+ Access, Yelp has been adaptedfor your vehicle, and on the gocapability. Yelp gives you the ability tosearch for a Point of Interest (POI) ordesired destination using eitherpre-defined search categories, orcustom searches, using keywords like“tacos.” Searching can be done byvoice recognition or by using thetouch screen keypad.Here is what Yelp can do for you whileyou are on the road:• Deliver a list of up to 20 results,prioritizing by best match, bydistance or rating.• Provide up-to-date search listings(pulling the latest information fromthe cloud).• The live and local search engine willscan 12 categories and millions ofPOIs to provide drivers with a localguide for real word-of-mouthrecommendations.• With one touch, select from the listto find location address, phonenumber, user ratings, hours ofoperation (if available) and priceratings (if available).• The ability to call the selected POIdirectly (a device must be paired viaBluetooth), or have the addressimmediately sent to the navigationsystem for routing (if equipped).How It Works•Using the touch screen: launch Yelpby touching Apps Yelp.•Or using voice recognition: press thebutton on the steering wheeland say “Launch Yelp.”Give It a Try!• Press the button on the steeringwheel and say “Launch Yelp.”MTC+ Access323
• Press the button on the steeringwheel and say “Yelp Search.”• The MTC+ System will prompt you tosay something like, “car wash” Afterthe beep, say “restaurants”.• The MTC+ System will link out to thecloud to do your Yelp search, anddepending on your search request,this may take up to 30 seconds.• Using the touch screen, select arestaurant from the list of searchresults.• Navigate to the location by pressing“Go Now” (if equipped withnavigation).NOTE:Save your destination to “Favourites”.To find it again go to “Nav” > “Whereto” > “Favourites”.How to Add and Delete SearchCategoriesYelp provides the ability tosave custom search categoriesby first initiating the search,then pressing the star. Todelete a search category, select it, andtouch the star icon. A confirmationprompt will appear to confirm. Heated Steering WheelNOTE:The engine must be running for theheated steering wheel to operate.The steering wheel contains a heatingelement inside the rim that helpswarm driver’s hands by cold weather.The heated steering wheel has onlyone temperature setting. Once turnedon, this function will operate forapproximately 58 to 70 minutes beforeautomatically shutting off.The heated steering wheel can shut offearly or may not turn on when thesteering wheel is already warm.• Touch the “Controls” soft-keylocated on the lower part of thetouch screen.• Within 15 seconds, touch the“Heated wheel” soft-key to turn onthe function.• Within 15 seconds, touch the“Heated wheel” soft-key a secondtime to turn it off.WARNING!•Persons who are unable to feel painto the skin because of advanced age,chronic illness, diabetes, spinal cordinjury, medication, alcohol use,exhaustion, or other physicalconditions must exercise care whenusing the steering wheel heater. must contact the Maserati ServiceNetwork that will reset this feature.This feature is only available whenvehicle is at a standstill.Glove Box Lock• Open “Controls” screen and touch“Glove Box”.• To open the screen required to enterthe PIN, answer “Yes” to the prompt.• Using the keypad, enter the fourdigits of the PIN and press “OK”. Abuzzer will sound three tonesindicating that proper PIN code wasentered.NOTE:•If you do not enter all PIN digits, aprompt and a buzzer will indicatethat you should do so.•In case of incoming call whileentering the PIN, the MTC+ systemwill temporarily stop the releasefunction. As soon as the barge-in isover, the keypad screen will bedisplayed again so that you canenter the PIN.• Confirm entered code by touching“OK” in the next page. Glove box isnow locked and the MTC+ will goback to “Controls” page.Glove Box UnlockIf the glove box is locked, when youenter in the vehicle, the MTC+ screenwill display the page already shownduring the locking procedure, onwhich a message will indicate thatsystem operation is reduced and thatonly “Climate”, “Controls” and“Settings” features are active.Unlock glove box by entering the lockcode as previously specified.Glove Box Manual UnlockIf battery is flat, it is necessary tomanually work the actuator on the LHside of the glove box to unlock theglove box that has been locked usingthe PIN code.• Proceed carefully and start with thecentral part, indicated by the arrowControl and Climate Modes661

This molding is fastened bymeans of 10 pins (indicated in thefigure) press-fitted onto clips presentin dashboard structure.• After removing the molding, takethe screwdriver from the tool kitunder boot mat (see vehicle Owner'sManual).• Insert screwdriver tip inside the holeon LH side of glove box structure:push until home against actuatorpin.• Push down screwdriver tip to releaseactuator pin and manually unlockthe glove box. 5. RecirculationTouch to change the current setting,the LED indicators on the relevantsoft-key illuminates to indicate whichrecirculation function is activated.6. Blower ControlBlower control is used to regulate theamount of air forced through theclimate system. There are seven blowerspeeds available. Adjusting the blowerwill cause automatic mode to switch tomanual.Touch the small icon of the blower todecrease the speed, or the big icon toincrease it. Between the two icons,bars will appear to show the numberof the corresponding selected speed.The blower can also be activated/regulated by touching the barsbetween the two blower icons.7. AUTOThis function automatically controlsthe interior temperature by adjustingthe air flow rate and the airdistribution. Touch the “AUTO” willcause the ATC to switch betweenmanual and automatic mode. The“AUTO” soft-key illuminates when the“AUTO” function is activated.8. FAST Defrosting/DemistingTouch the soft-key to switch theairflow setting to the windshield andthe front side windows to get a quickdefrosting/defogging. The soft-keyilluminates when this feature isactivated. Operating this function willcause the ATC to switch into manualmode: so the AUTO soft-key will turnoff; the fifth blower speed will beautomatically selected, unless theblower is not already set to a higherspeed. If this function is turned off theclimate system will return to theprevious setting.9. REAR Defrosting/DemistingTouch the soft-key to turn on therear window defroster and the heatedoutside mirrors. The soft-key willilluminate when the rear windowdefroster and the heated externalmirrors are on.The rear window defroster and theheated external mirrors automaticallyturn off after 10 minutes.CAUTION!Failure to observe the followingcautions may cause damage to the rearwindows defroster:• Use care when washing the inside ofthe rear window. Do not useabrasive window cleaners on theinterior surface of the window. Usea soft cloth and a mild washingsolution, wiping parallel to theheating elements. Labels can bepeeled off after soaking with warmwater.• Do not use scrapers, sharpinstruments, or abrasive windowcleaners on the interior surface ofthe window.• Keep all objects inside the vehicle ata safe distance from the window.10. Airflow Distribution ModesThe airflow distribution mode can beadjusted so air comes from thedashboard vents, floor vents,demist/defrost vents.The display contains the relevantsoft-keys used to set these modes.Available settings are as follows:•“Dashboard” modeAir flows in from the four adjustablevents of the dashboard and the twopositioned at the rear of the centralconsole. Each of these vents can besingly adjusted. The air vanes of thevents can be moved up and down orright and left to adjust air flowdirection. A setting wheel, placednear each vent, allows to regulate orclose the air flow.•“Bi-Level” modeAir comes from the dashboard vents,the central console adjustable ventsControl and Climate Modes664
and the fixed floor vents. A smallportion of the airflow is directedthrough the defrost/demist vents.NOTE:Bi-Level mode is designed to let coolerair from the dashboard and rearcentral console vents and warmer airfrom the floor vents.•“Floor” modeAir comes from the floor vents. Asmall portion of the airflow isdirected through the defrost/demistvents.•“Mix” modeAir comes from the floor and thedefrost/demist vents. This mode isrecommended for cold climates, toimprove comfort and preventfogging.11. “SYNC” modeTouch the SYNC soft-key on the MTC+to switch the Sync feature on/off. TheSYNC indicator illuminates when thisfeature is selected. This function isused to synchronize the passengertemperature setting with the drivertemperature setting.Changing the passenger temperaturesetting while in SYNC willautomatically exit this feature.12. OverviewMTC+ System Phone is a voice-activated, hands-free, in-vehiclecommunications system. Phone ButtonThe phone button on thesteering wheel is used to getinto the phone mode andmake calls, show recent,incoming, outgoing calls, view phonebook etc. When you press the buttonyou will hear a beep. The beep is yoursignal to give a command.Voice Command ButtonThe voice commandbutton on the steeringwheel is only used for “bargein” and when you are alreadyin a call and you want to send tones ormake another call.The button on the steering wheelis also used to access the voicecommands for the MTC+ VoiceCommand features if your vehicle isequipped.The MTC+ System Phone is fullyintegrated with the vehicle's audiosystem. The volume of the MTC+System Phone can be adjusted eitherfrom the radio volume control knob orfrom the steering wheel radio control(right switch).OperationVoice commands can be used tooperate the MTC+ System Phone andto navigate through its menustructure. Voice commands arerequired after most MTC+ SystemPhone prompts. There are two generalmethods for how voice commandworks:1. Say compound commands like “CallJohn Smith mobile.”2. Say the individual commands andallow the system to guide you tocomplete the task.You will be prompted for a specificcommand and then guided throughthe available options.• Prior to giving a voice command,one must wait for the beep, whichfollows the “Listen” prompt oranother prompt.• For certain operations, compoundcommands can be used. For example,instead of saying “Call” and then“John Smith” and then “mobile”,the following compound commandcan be said: “Call John Smithmobile.”• For each feature explanation in thissection, only the compoundcommand form of the voicecommand is given. You can alsobreak the commands into parts andsay each part of the command whenyou are asked for it. For example,you can use the compoundcommand form voice command“Search for John Smith,” or you canbreak the compound command forminto two voice commands: “SearchContact” and when asked “JohnSmith.” Please remember, the MTC+System Phone works best when youtalk in a normal conversational tone,as if speaking to someone sitting afew feet/metres away from you.Natural SpeechYour MTC+ System Phone voice systemuses a natural language VoiceRecognition (VR) engine.Natural speech allows the user tospeak commands in phrases orcomplete sentences. The system filtersout certain non-word utterances andsounds such as “ah” and “eh.” Thesystem handles fill-in words such as “Iwould like to.”The system handles multiple inputs inthe same phrase or sentence such as“make a phone call” and “to KellySmith.” For multiple inputs in thesame phrase or sentence, the systemidentifies the topic or context andMTC+ System Phone891
provides the associated follow-upprompt such as “Who do you want tocall?” in the case where a phone callwas requested but the specific namewas not recognised.The system utilizes continuousdialogue; when the system requiresmore information from the user it willask a question to which the user canrespond without pushing the voicecommand button on the steeringwheel.Pair (Link) MTC+ System Phoneto a Mobile PhoneTo begin using your MTC+ SystemPhone, you must pair your compatibleBluetooth®enabled mobile phone.Mobile phone pairing is the process ofestablishing a wireless connectionbetween a cellular phone and theMTC+ system.To complete the pairing process, youwill need to reference your mobilephone Owner's Manual. Please visitwww.maserati.com for completemobile phone compatibilityinformation.NOTE:•You must have Bluetooth®enabledon your phone to complete thisprocedure.•The vehicle must be in P (Park).1. Place the ignition device in the ACCor RUN position.2. the “Phone” soft-key in the menubar on the touch screen. If there isno phones currently connected withthe system, a pop-up will appearasking if you would like to pair amobile phone.3. Select “Yes” to begin the pairingprocess.4. Search for available devices on yourBluetooth®enabled mobile phone.• Press the Settings button on yourmobile phone.• Select Bluetooth®and ensure it isenabled. Once enabled, the mobilephone will begin to search forBluetooth®connections.5. Making a Phone or AudioDevice a Favourite1. Press the “Settings” soft-key on thetouch screen.2. Press the “Paired Phones” or“Paired Audio Sources” soft-key onthe touch screen.3. Press the “Make Favourite”soft-key on the touch screen; youwill see the chosen device move tothe top of the list.6. Press the “X” to exit out of the“Settings” screen.Phone Book Download(Automatic Phone BookTransfer from Mobile Phone) —If EquippedIf equipped and specifically supportedby your phone, MTC+ System Phoneautomatically downloads names (textnames) and number entries from themobile phone’s phone book. SpecificBluetooth®phones with phone bookaccess profile may support thisfeature. See www.maserati.comwebsite, for supported phones.• To call a name from a downloadedmobile phone book, follow theprocedure in the chapter “VoiceRecognition Quick Tips” in thissection.• Automatic download and update ofa phone book, if supported, beginsas soon as the Bluetooth®wirelessphone connection is made to theMTC+ System Phone, for example,after you start the vehicle.• A maximum of 1,000 contact nameswith four numbers per contact willbe downloaded and updated everytime a phone is connected to theMTC+ System Phone.• Depending on the maximum numberof entries downloaded, there may bea short delay before the latestdownloaded names can be used.Until then, if available, thepreviously downloaded phone bookis available for use.• Only the phone book of thecurrently connected mobile phone isaccessible.• This downloaded phone bookcannot be edited or deleted on theMTC+ System Phone. These can onlybe edited on the mobile phone. Thechanges are transferred and updatedto MTC+ System Phone on the nextphone connection.Managing Your FavouritesThere are three ways you can add anentry to your favourites.1. During an active call of a numberto make a favourite, press and holdthe preset soft-key on the touchscreen on the top of the phonemain screen.2. After loading the mobile phonebook, select phone book from the“Phone” main screen, then selectthe appropriate number. Touch the"Settings" soft-key next to theselected number to display theoptions pop-up. In the pop-upselect “Add to Favourites.”NOTE:If the favourites list is full, you will beasked to remove an existing favourite.3. From the “Phone” main screen,select phone book. From the phonebook screen, select the“Favourites” soft-key on the touchscreen and then select the settingsicon soft-key on the touch screenlocated to the right of the phonebook record.MTC+ System Phone895
4. Select an empty entry and touchthe "Settings" soft-key on thatselected entry. When the “Options”pop-up appears, press “Add fromMobile.” You will then be askedwhich contact and number tochoose from your mobile phonebook. When complete the newfavourite will be shown.To Remove a Favourite1. To remove a favourite, select“phone book” from the “Phone”main screen.2. Next select “Favourites” on the leftside of the screen and then touchthe settings icon soft-key on thetouch screen.3. Touch the settings icon soft-keynext to the favourite you would liketo remove.4. The “Option”s pop-up will display,touch “Remove from Favs”.Phone Call FeaturesThe following features can be accessedthrough the MTC+ System Phone if thefeature(s) are available and supportedby Bluetooth®on your mobile serviceplan. Pressthe phone button on the steeringwheel, answer button on the touchscreen or caller ID box to place thecurrent call on hold and answer theincoming call.NOTE:The MTC+ System Phone compatiblephones in the market today do notsupport rejecting an incoming callwhen another call is in progress.Therefore, the user can only answeran incoming call or ignore it.Place/Retrieve a Call from HoldDuring an active call, touch the“Hold” soft-key on the “Phone” mainscreen.Making a Second Call whileCurrent Call is in ProgressYou can place a call on hold bypressing the “Hold” soft-key on the“Phone” main screen, then dial anumber from the dial pad, recent calls,SMS inbox or from the phone books.To go back to the first call, refer to“Toggling between Calls” in thissection. Only the activecall(s) will be terminated and if there isa call on hold, it will become the newactive call.RedialTouch the “Redial” soft-key on thetouch screen, or press the phonebutton and after the “Listening”prompt and the following beep, say“Redial.”The MTC+ System Phone will call thelast number that was dialled from yourmobile phone.Call ContinuationCall continuation is the progression ofa phone call on the MTC+ SystemPhone after the vehicle ignition devicehas been switched to OFF position.NOTE:The call will remain within the vehicleaudio system until the phone becomesout of range for the Bluetooth®connection. It is recommended to pressthe “transfer” soft-key on the touchscreen when leaving the vehicle.Assistance CallRoadside AssistanceIf you need towing assistance:• Press the phone soft-key on thesteering wheel to begin.• After the “Listening” prompt andthe following beep, say “RoadsideAssistance”.NOTE:•The emergency roadside assistancecall can also be initiated using thetouch screen.•The roadside assistance numberdialed is based on the country wherethe vehicle is purchased. Working with AutomatedSystemsThis method is used in instances whereone generally has to press numbers onthe mobile phone keypad whilenavigating through an automatedtelephone system.You can use your MTC+ System Phoneto access a voice mail system or anautomated service, such as a pagingservice or automated customer serviceline. Some services require immediateresponse selection. In some instances,that may be too quick for use of theMTC+ System Phone.When calling a number with yourMTC+ System Phone that normallyrequires you to enter in a touch-tonesequence on your mobile phonekeypad, you can utilize the touchscreen or press the button and saythe word “Send” then the sequenceyou wish to enter. For example, ifrequired to enter your PIN followedwith a pound, (3 7 4 6 #), you canpress the button and say, “Send 3 74 6 #”. Saying “Send” followed by anumber, or sequence of numbers, isalso to be used for navigating throughan automated customer service centermenu structure, and to leave anumber on a pager.You can also send stored mobilephonebook entries as tones for fastand easy access to voice mail andpager entries. To use this feature, dialthe number you wish to call and thenpress the button and say forexample, “Send voicemail password”.The system will prompt you to enterthe name or number and say thename of the phonebook entry youwish to send. The MTC+ System Phonewill then send the correspondingphone number associated with thephonebook entry, as tones over thephone.NOTE:•The first number encountered forthat contact will be sent. All othernumbers entered for that contactwill be ignored.•You may not hear all of the tonesdue to mobile phone networkconfigurations. This is normal.•Some paging and voice mail systemshave system time out settings thatare too short and may not allow theuse of this feature.•Pauses, wait or other characters thatare supported by some phones arenot supported over Bluetooth®.These additional symbols will beignored in the dialing a numberedsequence.Barge in - Overriding PromptsThe button can be used when youwish to skip part of a prompt andissue your voice commandimmediately. For example, if a promptis asking "There are 2 numbers withthe name John. Say the full name"you could press the button andsay, "John Smith" to select that optionwithout having to listen to the rest ofthe voice prompt.Voice Response LengthIt is possible for you to choosebetween “Brief” and “Detailed” voiceresponse length.• Touch the “Settings” soft-key.• Touch the “Display” soft-key, thenscroll down to “Voice ResponseLength”.• Select either “Brief” or “Detailed”by touching the box next to theselection. phone and network status when youare attempting to make a phone callusing MTC+ System Phone. The statusis given for roaming, network signalstrength and phone battery strength.Dialing using the Mobile PhoneKeypadYou can dial a phone number withyour mobile phone keypad and stilluse the MTC+ System Phone (whiledialing via the mobile phone keypad,the user must exercise caution andtake precautionary safety measures).By dialing a number with your pairedBluetooth®mobile phone, the audiowill be played through your vehicle'saudio system. The MTC+ System Phonewill work the same as if you dial thenumber using voice command.NOTE:Certain brands of mobile phones donot send the dial ring to the MTC+System Phone to play it on the vehicleaudio system, so you will not hear it.Under this situation, after successfullydialing a number the user may feelthat the call did not go through eventhough the call is in progress. Onceyour call is answered, you will hear theaudio.Mute/Un-Mute (Mute OFF)When you mute the MTC+ SystemPhone, you will still be able to hear theconversation coming from the otherparty, but the other party will not beable to hear you. In order to mute theMTC+ System Phone simply touch the“Mute” soft-key on the “Phone” mainscreen.Advanced PhoneConnectivityTransfer Call to and fromMobile PhoneThe MTC+ System Phone allowsongoing calls to be transferred fromyour mobile phone to the MTC+System Phone without terminating thecall. To transfer an ongoing call fromyour connected mobile phone to theMTC+ System Phone or vice versa,press the “Transfer” soft-key on the“Phone” main screen.Connect or Disconnect Linkbetween the MTC+ Phone andMobile PhoneIf you would like to connect ordisconnect the Bluetooth®connectionbetween a MTC+ System Phone pairedmobile phone and the MTC+ SystemPhone, follow the instructionsdescribed in your mobile phone User'sManual.MTC+ System Phone8100

Thismeans the system will warn you of apossible collision with the vehicle infront of you when you are fartheraway.This gives you the most reaction time.To change the setting for moredynamic driving, select the “Near”setting. This warns you of a possiblecollision when you are much closer tothe vehicle in front of you.Forward Collision Warning PlusThe FCW system includes AdvancedBrake Assist (ABA). transmission shift lever is in R(Reverse) and the vehicle speed is lessthan 12 km/h (7.5 mph). The systemcan be enabled with “Sound” only,“Sound + Display”, or turned “Off”.Front Sensors Active in DriveIf this feature is active, when drivertakes shift lever to D (Drive), only thefront parking sensors are activated.This feature is useful when driving inline to prevent that any vehiclesbehind are detected by the rearparking sensors.Front Park Assist ChimeVolumeWhen this feature is selected, thechime volume of front park assistsensors can be set to “Low”,“Medium” or “High” level. “Medium”is the default setting. The system willretain its last known configurationstate through ignition cycles.Rear Park Assist Chime VolumeWhen this feature is selected, thechime volume of rear park assistsensors can be set to “Low”,“Medium” or “High” level. “Medium”is the default setting. The system willretain its last known configurationstate through ignition cycles.Tilt Mirrors In ReverseBy selecting this feature the outsideside-view mirrors will tilt downwardwhen the ignition is in RUN positionand the transmission shift lever is in R(Reverse) position. The mirrors willmove back to their previous positionwhen the transmission is shifted out ofR (Reverse). The feature can be set“On” or “Off”.Blind Spot AlertWhen this feature is selected, theBlind Spot Alert (BSA) feature can beset to “Off”, “Led” or “Led + Chime”(default mode). When this feature isactivated in “Led” mode, the systemwill only show a warning light in theoutside mirrors. When “Led + Chime”mode is activated, the system willshow a warning light in the outsidemirrors as well as give an audible alertwhen the turn signal is on. When“Off” is selected, the system isdeactivated.Surround View Camera DelayWhen activation occurs by pressingthe “Surround View” button in the“Controls” screen, the initial view willbe the default view (associated withcurrent gear state). Image will bedisplayed while in that gear as long asvehicle speed remains less than12 km/h (8 mph). When vehicle isshifted into a different gear, theimage will remain displayed for 10seconds or until vehicle speed exceeds12 km/h (8 mph), at which point it willimmediately cancel and return to thelast viewed screen. The feature can beset “On” or “Off”.Surround View CameraGuidelinesWhen this feature is selected, movingthe shift lever in R (Reverse) positionor pressing “Surround View” soft-keyon MTC+ display appear activeguidelines over the surround viewcamera display. Rearview Camera DelayBy selecting this feature, when theshift lever is moved out of R (Reverse),the rear view image with dynamic gridlines will be displayed for up to 10seconds after shifting unless theforward vehicle speed exceeds 12 km/h(8 mph), or the transmission is shiftedinto P (Park) or the ignition device isswitched to the OFF position. Thefeature can be set “On” or “Off”.Rearview Camera DynamicGuidelinesThis feature allows you to see activeguidelines over the rearview cameradisplay whenever the shift lever is putinto R (Reverse) position.The image will be displayed on theMTC+ display along with a cautionnote to check entire surroundingsacross the top of the screen. After fiveseconds, this note will disappear.Intermittent Wiper OptionsBy selecting this feature, the systemwill automatically activate thewindshield wipers if it senses moistureon the windshield. The feature can beset “On” or “Off”.Hill Start AssistThis feature allows you to disable theHSA system. The feature can be set“On” or “Off”.LightsPress the “Lights” soft-key to set thefollowing modes.Headlamp Off DelayBy selecting this feature, the driver canchoose to have the headlamp off or litfor 30, 60, or 90 seconds when theengine is shut off. Headlamp with WipersBy selecting this feature, while theheadlamp lever is in “AUTO” position,the headlamp will turn onapproximately 10 seconds after thewipers are activated. The headlampwill also turn off when the wipersdeactivate if they were activated inthe current mode. The feature can beset “On” or “Off”.Automatic High BeamsBy selecting this feature, the highbeam headlamp will deactivateautomatically under certainconditions. The feature can be set“On” or “Off”. Youcan choose from the followingoptions: “Off” (no sound), “1st Press”(sound on the first press of thebutton) and “2nd Press” (sound onthe second press of the button).Sound Horn with Remote StartWhen this feature is selected, the hornwill sound when you use the key fobRKE transmitter to start the engine.The feature can be set “On” or “Off”.Remote Unlock SequenceBy selecting this feature you may setup only the driver's door or all doorsmode will unlock on the first press ofthe key fob RKE transmitter button.When “Driver Door” is selected, youmust press the key fob RKE transmitterbutton twice to unlock also thepassenger's doors.When unlock “All Doors” by first pressselection mode, all doors will unlockon the first press of the key fob RKEtransmitter button.If the vehicle is programmed on “1stPress of Key Fob Unlocks”:• all doors will unlock no matter which“Passive Entry” equipped doorhandle is grasped;• only the driver’s door will unlockwhen the driver’s door is grasped;• with “Passive Entry”, touching thehandle more than once will onlyresult in the driver’s door opening. Ifdriver door first is selected, once thedriver door is opened, the interiordoor lock/unlock switch can be usedto unlock all doors (or use key fobRKE transmitter).Passive EntryThis feature allows you to lock andunlock the vehicle door(s) withouthaving to push the key fob RKEtransmitter or buttons. Byselecting this feature, “Passive Entry”may be set “On” or “Off”. The defaultstatus is “On”. With “Passive Entry”deactivated, also the “Pre-Short Drop”function is disabled (for furtherinformation, refer to “BodyworkMaintenance and Care” in section 7).Personal Settings Linked to KeyFobThis selected mode enables to combinethe key fob to personal driver’sposition settings. These DashboardInstruments and Controls settings willbe implemented when pressing thebutton on the key fob RKEtransmitter with ignition device in RUNposition.Power Liftgate ChimeWhen this feature is selected, furtherto turn indicators flashing, an acousticwarning will also be triggered whenopening and closing the liftgate. Thefeature can be set “On” or “Off”.Hands Free LiftgateTo prevent from the accidentalopening of the power liftgate/Handfree (optional) with the movement ofthe foot, it is possible to disable the“Hand Free” function. Whentemperatures are above 26°C (80°F)the driver vented seat will turn on.You can choose from the followingoptions: “Off” (no comfort functionsactive), “Remote Start” (activation ofcomfort functions when you use thekey fob RKE transmitter to start theengine) and “All Starts” (activation ofcomfort functions when you start theengine in all modes).Engine Off (Options)This feature allows you to set somefunctions after turning off the engine.Easy Exit SeatWhen this feature is selected, thedriver's seat will automatically moverearward once the engine is shut off.The feature can be set “On” or “Off”.Key Off Power Delay (Powerduration after engineshutdown)By selecting this feature, the powerwindow switches, radio, MTC+ System,power sunroof (optional), and poweroutlets will remain active for up to 10minutes after the ignition switch iscycled to OFF. Opening of one frontdoor will cancel this feature.The switch-off delay can be canceled(0 seconds) or choose from 45 seconds,5 minutes or 10 minutes.Headlamp Off DelayBy selecting this feature the headlampwill stay lit for up to 90 seconds afterturning off the engine.The switch-off delay can be canceled(0 seconds) or reduced to 60 or 30seconds.Air Suspension AutoEasy/EntrySelect this mode to automaticallylower vehicle to minimum groundclearance when driver takestransmission to P (Park) to help entryinto and exit from the vehicle andunloading of cargo from the bootcompartment. The feature can be set“On” or “Off”.Air Suspension WarningMessages OnlySelect this mode to choose whether todisplay only warnings (option “On”).Tire Jack Mode/Stationary AutoLevelingSelect this mode to disable thepneumatic suspension to avoidautomatic leveling, when vehicle mustbe lifted for changing a wheel or tire.The feature can be set “On” or “Off”.Transport ModeSelect this mode to lower thepneumatic suspension to minimumride height and disable systemoperation to help vehicle loading andtransport, for instance on the platformof a tow truck. The feature can be set“On” or “Off”.Wheel Alignment ModeSelect this mode to prevent automaticpneumatic suspension alignment whenservicing suspension and/or steeringparts. The feature can be set “On” or“Off”.AudioThis feature enables to view and setthe available audio modes dependingon the type of audio system suppliedon the car.The following modes refer to the“High Premium” audio system.Balance/FadeUse this screen to adjust the balanceand fade settings. Select “Yes” torestore, or “Cancel” to exit. Once thesettings are restored, a pop-upappears confirming that settings havebeen reset to default.Clear Personal DataWhen this feature is selected, it willremove personal data concerningsettings and/or options that have beenmodified compared to factory settingsand will also remove from systemmemory Bluetooth devices andpresets.To remove personal information,select this feature and a pop-up willappear asking confirmation to deleteall personal data.
