CM9 Installation MODULAR USAGE This device is intended only for use by an OEM integrator under the following conditions; 1) The antenna must be installed such that 20 cm is maintained between the antenna and users. 2) The transmitter module may not be co-located with any other transmitter or antenna 3) The final product containing this device must be labeled in a visible manner with the following; “ Contains FCC ID RTP55010016-5” 4) The end product user manual must contain the following information in a prominent location; “Important Note: To comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, the antenna used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. 200 West Street Waltham, MA 02451 USA phone: fax: +1 781-684-0001 +1 781-684-0009 Federal Communication Commission Interference Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. FCC Caution: To assure continued compliance, (example - use only shielded interface cables when connecting to computer or peripheral devices) any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate this equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. 200 West Street Waltham, MA 02451 USA phone: fax: +1 781-684-0001 +1 781-684-0009 CM9 IMPORTANT OPERATION INFORMATION This device has been designed to operate with the antennas listed below, and having a maximum gain of 5.6 dBi@ 2.4 GHz, 6.0 dBi @ 5.3GHz and 6.0 dBi @ 5.7GHz . Antennas not included in this list or having a gain greater than those listed are strictly prohibited for use with this device. The required antenna impedance is 50 ohms. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that permitted for successful communication. Approved antennas The table below lists the antennas approved for use with the model CM9; Manufacturer Nearson Cushcraft Cushcraft Mini-Box Centurion Centurion Long Chu Part # T614AH-2.4/5.X-S S5153WBPX36RSM SL24513P36RSM Outdoor Omni WTS2450-RPSMA NanoBlade DBA-BSMA 2.4 GHz Gain 4 dBi N/A 3 dBi 5.5 dBi 2.5 dBi 2.8 dBi 2.0 dBi 5.3 GHz Gain 5 dBi 6 dBi 3dBi N/A 3.0 dBi 3.9 dBi 2.0 dBi 5.7 GHz Gain 4.5 dBi 6dBi N/A N/a 3.4 dBi 4 dBi 2.4 dBi Additional Notes; 1- Operation on channels 36-48 (5,15-5.35 GHz) is restricted to indoor use only. 2- Operation On Channel 165 is not allowed. 3- When using the Cushcraft Model SL24513P12SMF Antenna, output power must set to 15 dBm for channel 1(2412 MHz) 200 West Street Waltham, MA 02451 USA phone: fax: +1 781-684-0001 +1 781-684-0009
