Microelectronics & Asset Tracking TechnologyMicro Reader Maintenance:The only maintenance required, is to replace the battery when necessary.To replace the battery, open the batterycompartment using medium size screwdriver( Fig.4). Take out the old battery and put a freshone (Fig. 5).Note polarity, as marked on the enclosure.Use 12V alkaline A23 battery.Close cover after installing the fresh battery.4Micro Reader Hi-G-Tek Ltd. The Micro Reader communicates with the DataSeal or the DataSeal-125over the low frequency channel using 125KHz as the carrier.The Micro Reader is used for executing one or two functions, dependingon the model:Micro Reader with READ only -  Model: IG-MA-125This device is used for checking the seal status.Approach the DataSeal as shown in Fig.2to a distance of 3-8cm and press the R button.(Item 1 in Fig.1)In the event that the seal status is OK the LED(item 2 in Fig.1) will  turn Green, and acorresponding “click” will sound.In the event that seal status is TAMPERED,the LED will turn Red and a corresponding“beep” will sound.In the event that the communication betweenthe Micro Reader and the DataSeal failed, the Micro Reader will pause for two seconds and the LED will flash Red three times with corresponding three fast “clicks”.2Micro Reader Hi-G-Tek Ltd. This model can alsoperform a “Soft Set”: setting the seal (OK status)without erasing the events logged in seal’smemory.To perform a “Soft Set”, approach the seal asshown in Fig.2, and press the S button (item 1in Fig.3). In the event of successful “Soft Set”,the LED will  turn Green and a corresponding“click” will sound.In the event that the “Soft Set” command failed,the Micro Reader will pause for two seconds, andthen the LED will flash Red three times with corresponding three fast “clicks”.3Micro Reader Hi-G-Tek Ltd.
