TO INSTALL OR REPLACE BATTERIES IN THE
ATOMIC WEATHER STATION .
The Atomic weather station uses 2 “AA” batteries (not
included) When the LCD becomes dim or the IeSpeqLiVE
low battery indicator shows up on the indoor or outdoor
temperature display, battery replacement is required. To
install or replace the batteries, please follow these steps:
l. Remove the battery compartment door on the back of
the ease. '
2, insert 2 “AA" size batteries (not included) according
to th‘ polarities shown.

HOW TO USE THE TABLE STAND OR
WALL MOUNTING
The main unit has a removable table stand, which when
counseled. can support thelunit on a flat surface. Or you
can remove the stand and mount the unit on u wall using
the recessed gorew hole. As for the remote unit, you can
place it on at flat surface or mount the unit on a wall using
recossod scrow hole.
GE'I'Ji‘lNG STARTED.
l. Whenthe batteries are in installed in the temperature
unnsmittuds). it will stun transmitting the temperature
readings at around 45 second intervals -
2, The main unit will start will Start searching for the
temperature signal and will continue to do so for about _
two minutes once the batteries are installed.
. Upon successful reception. the outdoor temperature will
be display on the top line and the indoor temperature
will be displayed below the outdoor temperature.
4.Thc main unit will automatically update its readings at
about 45asccond intervals,
5.After the main unit finishes searching for the temperature
signal from the remote unil(s), within 2 minutes, the
WW'\’ B Radio Controlled time signal receiver will smrt to
automatically search for the time signal. This typically
takes 5-8 minutes in good conditions. If tiller 8 minutes
the WWVB Radio controlled time signal has not been
received, use the MODE button to set the time manually
(see “setting the time and date mtutually“ buluw.) The
clock will then automatically attempt to receive the WWVB
time signal from ltOOant through 4:30am each dzty.
When this is successful, the received time will update the
manually set time and date
6. You in ctivate; the clock to receive tho radio signal
at any time by pressing the t button in the HourlMinutc/
Seconds display for 3 seconds.

CALENDAR CLOCK DISPLAY MODES
The alann time and the calendar share the same section of the
display while the seconds field in the time display tind the day
of \\ ek share (hi:— same section of the displuy. The calendar is

If the alarm Lime is d' yed, pressingv hiODE will display the
calendar in month~day format. Each press on MODE button
will change the display between the clock with the seconds
dispiayed and the clock with day of week.
THE DATE AND TIME AND DATE SETTING
1. in the normal time. press MODE to change to the HounMinule.
Weekday display. Select the thus zone by pressing and holding
the 1 button for 3 seconds. Keep pressing until thedesired time
zone (Pacific Tune, Mountain Time, Central Time or Eastern
Time) is shown on the face ol‘ the weather station.

2. Press and hold MODE [or 3 seconds: The year digit will
begin to flash. Press 1 or l to select the corrcetyear.
Press MODE again: The month digit will begin to flash.

LANGUAGE SETTING
The weekday may be displayed with one of five huigunges: _
English, Spanish and French, German, or Italian
1, Alter the minute i: set, press MODE again, the weekday

2. Press t or t to set the desired language, for the weekday
display. The selection sequence is "EN" for English, “SP"
for Spanish. "FR" for French, “GB" for Gemtan, and “IT”
for Italian.

DISCONNECT THE AUTOMATIC ATOMIC TIME
SIGNAL RECEPTION
The main unit can he set manually to disable the daily
reception olthe WWVB time signal.
Press nnrl hold the 1 and i button [or 3 seconds and the
mdio reception icon will disappear. ~
To enable the main unit’s ability to receive the WWVB time
signnl dm‘lv, press and hold i and l button for 3 seconds and
the radio ‘rzL‘ption icon tnnis on and flashes. The unit will
attempt reception ofthe WWVB time signal invitediately.
OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTER
' The main unit will nutnnmtienlly update its readings at
about 45 second intervals.
If no signals are received, blank “ ">- " will be displayed.
Hold l for 3 seconds in force another search (if the remote -
unit(s) (or about 2 minutes. This is useful in synchronizing the
transmission and reception of the remote and the main units.
Repeat this step whenever you find discrepancies between the
reading shown on the main unit and Hutton the remote lmll.
If without obvious reasons the display ofthe outdoor
temperature goes blank.held “or 3 seconds to force an
immediate search
If that fails, cheek:

ofthis product and cause temporarily reception failure. This is
nonnal and does not affect the ggnemt performance of the
product. The transmission and reception of the temperature
readings will resume (mu: the interference recedes. '

INDOOR TEMPERATURE ..
The indoor temperature is shown on the second line of the
display. The outdoor temperature is xhown on the top line of

HOW TO READ THE KIN‘ETIC WAVE DISPLAY
The kinetic wave display shows the signal receiving status

The NIST radio station, WWVB, is located in Fl. Collins.
Colorado and transmits the cxnattime signal continuously
throughout the United States at GOKHZ. The signal-can he
rtceived up to 2,000 miles away through the internal antenna
in the Radio Controlled Clock However, due tn the nature of}
the Earth’s ionosphere, rcccpiion is very limited during tho day
time, The radio control clock will search for a signal every
night when reception is best. The WWVB radio station derives
iLX‘ xignztl from the leT Atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado. >
The WWVB towericon on the clock display will flash to
indicate that the clock is receiving a radio signal From the
WWVB mdt'o station, When the time signal is received. tho
