Question: I installed the batteries in my transmitter, but the power lights do not come on:
Answer:
- Check that the batteries are properly installed by checking the polarity (+ and -).
Question: My radio has power, but I have no control:
Answers:
- Make sure that the power switch is on and connected to the receiver.
- Make sure that the batteries are charged (Replace or recharge if needed.)
- Make sure that you are using the proper crystals.
Question: My vehicle is glitching, or the servos and/or speed control is acting erratically:
Answers:
- Check that there are no radios operating on your channel.
- Make sure your electric motor has capacitors and the commutator is clean and brushes are
not worn out. Replace if needed.
- Check for loose screws as metal-to-metal contact can cause interference.
- Make sure your receiver antenna has not been damaged or cut.
- Make sure that power wires are at least 2" away from the receiver.
- Replace the crystals if needed.
- If all fails, send your system to be serviced, as there may be internal damage.
- Never operate your car or truck in a crowded street with traffic.
- Always extend your transmitter antenna when in operation.
- Always check the battery power indicator before use.
- Do not operate two or more models on the same frequency at the same time.
- Do not operate your model in the rain or run through standing water.
- Do not operate your model within one mile of a radio control racetrack.
- Do not operate your model while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Always turn your transmitter first and off last to prevent lost of control.
- When collapsing your antenna, never push it from the top or it may bend.
- Slower is faster, Do not overdrive your car. A cleaner line around the track is faster than
more top speed. Don't overshoot the corners.
- Reduce your steering dual rate if your car is over-steering or "Loose", and increase the rate if
your car is under-steering or "Pushing."
- Add more drag brake (see Steering and Throttle trims) if your vehicle is "Pushing" into the corners.
Move the trim the other direction so your car creeps forward slightly when the throttle is at neutral if
your car is "Loose" when entering the corners.
- The most important thing to remember is to have fun!

SET-UP AND INSTALLATION OF YOUR ZEBRA 2AM
BATTERY INSTALLATION
5. Always return the battery cover first before turning on the transmitter power. 5. Please refer to the instructions manual in your electronic speed controller for proper installation.
Please read the following section carefully before attempting to install the Zebra 2 AM system
RADIO SYSTEM INSTALLATION
1. Install your receiver in the safe location to protect from vibration or potential crash damage.
2. Typically one servo will be used for the steering and the other servo will be used to operate a mechanical speed controller.
or an optional electronic speed control will be used.
3. If your vehicle is electronic powered type, there will be a proportional speed control you wish to use.
If your speed control is mechanical, it will require a servo to operate it.
The battery and switch harness found in the kit must also be used to provide the receiver with power.
4. If your model is using an electronic speed controller that has the option of the B.E.C.(battery eliminator circuit),
receiver batterys are not needed on this since motor battery will feed the receiver and servos through the speed control.
When installing radio system on your R/C car, please follow the instruction included in your R/C car.

OPERATION CHECKING
1. Plug the switch harness and servo connectors into proper slots. Channel one is steering and channel two is throttle.
The connectors are polarized, so they will fit into the receiver one way only.
NEVER USE EXCESSIVE FORCE TO PLUG IN OR PULL OUT CONNECTORS.
2. Always turn the transmitter power switch "on" first before the receiver switch to avoid damaging your equipment.
3. Move the trim levers to the "neutral" position.
4. Check to see the servos move in the proper direction when the joysticks are moved.
If you wish to change the direction of rotation or you need to change travel direction,
open the battery case and pull the shunt switch and put it to the opposite side again.
Please turn off your transmitter before you change the shunt switch.
5. If you wish to have more forward throttle stick movement, push down the neutral position adjustment lever,
this will give 30% more forward movement.
Antenna
Both the transmitter and the receiver antennas must be fully extended.
Do not cut off any excess receiver antenna wire or bundle it up as this will cut down on the operating range of the system.
Water, Dust and Fuel
Take suitable measures to protect your system from water, dust, oil and fuel.
Servo Linkage
Install your linkages to be free from binding and slop. If you hear severe "humming"
from the servo, it is an indication the servo is working too hard and the geometry of the linkage should be adjusted.
