How to install the batteries How to assemble your R/C MicroSizers PowerBrute STEP 1: Apply the stickers. ➊ Remove the battery cover screw with a Phillips screwdriver. ➋ Install your batteries with the correct polarity. This transmitter requires 2 "AA" alkaline batteries. Never use other types of batteries. Place the numbered stickers at the locations shown in the illustration. ➌ Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw. How to charge the vehicle STEP 2: Mount the body. CHARGER DOOR ON/OFF SWITCH TRANSMITTER ➊ Set the transmitter switch to ON. ➊ Thread the antenna through the hole in the top of the body. ➋ ➀ Fit the slot in the rear of the body over the tab at the back of the chassis. ➁ Then snap the front in place. CHARGER COVER As a reference point, start by inserting this pin in the middle of this slot. ➌ For maximum control (8 to 10 ft. [2.4-3.0m] range), extend the antenna wire straight up. STEP 3: Install the tool attachment. ➋ Open the cover on the right side of the transmitter. Position the model parallel to the transmitter with the headlights pointing up. Use the illustrations above to align the model with the pins on the transmitter and snap it into place. ➊ Pull to remove the front grille. ➋ Press in and push up at the front to remove the hood. Reverse these steps to reattach the hood and grille. ➌ Fit the rear of the tool attachment against the chassis tab located directly below the body’s front windshield. Snap the tool attachment down to fit securely onto the chassis. Make sure that the tool snaps into place firmly. If it does not operate properly, try installing it again. Reverse these steps to remove the tool. ☞ IMPORTANT This raised knob on the chassis must be in the slot on the tool attachment’s moving arm. CHARGE LED ➌ The metal contacts on the model and the charger must make contact. While charging, keep pressing the chassis against the transmitter and make sure the CHG light is on. ➍ The LED (CHG) on the front of the transmitter will light for 45 seconds. When it goes out, the battery has completed charging. If the model is attached before the transmitter is switched ☞ on, it will not charge. Important Battery Information Model Battery Care Transmitter Battery Care A rechargeable battery has been built in to the main body of the model. Using the battery incorrectly will cause it to leak, rupture or ignite. Follow these precautions: Always use AA alkaline batteries. If improper batteries are used in the transmitter, they may become hot, leak and may rupture. Follow these precautions: If your R/C MicroSizers PowerBrute has been unused for a long period or you are charging its built-in battery for the first time, the battery may not charge to full capacity. This does not indicate battery failure. Recharging and running the model 4 or 5 times will gradually lengthen run times. Never use rechargeable batteries, such as NiCds, in the transmitter. · · · · · Fully discharge the battery by running the truck before recharging. Charge the battery only when the truck is NOT running. To prevent overcharging, never recharge a battery which has already been fully charged. This will not increase running speed. Recharge the battery only with the transmitter's built-in charger. If the chassis becomes warm, let it cool before running again. This product uses a NiCd battery. NiCd batteries are recyclable, and a valuable resource. To dispose of the battery, remove it and take it to a recycling center. · · · · · · · Do not mix different types of batteries, or old and new batteries. When changing batteries, replace ALL of the old batteries with new ones. Make sure the batteries are installed with the correct polarity as shown in the battery compartment. Do not charge or disassemble your transmitter batteries. Never allow them to become hot or to burn. To avoid short-circuits, avoid getting them wet. If liquid from inside the batteries contacts your skin or clothes, wash them with water. If leaked battery fluid gets into your eyes, flush them immediately with cool water and seek medical attention. Do not rub eyes. You can race about 50 times with new AA alkaline batteries. How to drive STEERING CONTROL THROTTLE CONTROL ANTENNA STRAIGHT LINE TRIM CONTROL ON/OFF SWITCH ➊ Gently pull up the antenna by hand. Never attempt to extend the antenna by turning or pushing the dial on the back of the transmitter. ➋ Turn on the transmitter switch. Throttle (left toggle control) - Move the truck forward by pushing up, or reverse by pushing down. Steering Wheel (right toggle control) - Steer the front tires left or right by pushing the right toggle control. By operating the toggle controls on both the right and left simultaneously, the truck can move forward-right, forward-left, reverse-right, or reverse-left. To run two R/C MicroSizers cars or PowerBrutes together, each must be on a different frequency. ☞ If the truck does not go ☞ straight when pushing the left toggle control up, move the trim lever on the bottom of the chassis to the left or right to make adjustments. How to change the drive motor Optional motors (available separately) can be installed for higher performance. ➊ Pull off the heatsink with your fingers. HEATSINK Shaded area must be toward the front of the chassis. ➋ Pull out the motor. ➍ When installing a motor, make sure that the motor contacts are in the proper position as shown ➌ Install a new motor.
