OneWireless Starter Kit
Get started quickly on the road to a more efficient and safer
plant with Honeywell’s universal, simple, and efficient
OneWireless™ network. Honeywell’s OneWireless Starter Kit
provides you with an introduction to Honeywell’s OneWireless
solutions. Within 20 minutes, you can set up a multi-functional
wireless plant network that can grow to include additional
devices and 802.11 handheld devices, such as Honeywell’s
IntelaTrac PKS and Mobile Station.
Honeywell’s OneWireless multi-functional wireless mesh
network supports wireless-enabled applications within a single
wireless network to optimize plant productivity and reliability,
improve safety and security, and ensure regulatory
compliance. Supporting both Honeywell’s XYR™ wireless
transmitters, and offering an open yet secure backbone to
802.11-enabled equipment , this network delivers a global
solution with robust security, predictable power management
and multi-speed monitoring. This is the only wireless network
you’ll need for your industrial plant.
This kit includes two Honeywell XYR 6000 wireless
transmitters, enabling automated monitoring in areas where
traditional hard-wired transmitters are too costly, difficult or
time-consuming to implement. If you would like to add
additional sensors to the transmitters included in the kit, the
XYR 6000 transmitter family includes devices for accurately
monitoring gauge pressure, absolute pressure, differential
pressure, temperature, and corrosion. The line also includes
an analog input interface for adding wireless capabilities to 4-
20 ma devices. The devices wirelessly transmit their
measurements to a gateway or to multiple communication
nodes, called Multinodes. The starter kit includes one
multinode/gateway to wirelessly communicate to the sensors
forming a managed, secure and redundant wireless network.
The multinode/gateway also interfaces with Honeywell’s PC-
based Wireless Server Software, which offers configuration
capabilities and communications with your control system. The
multinode/gateway and each associated mutlinode you may
subsequently add is also an 802.11 b/g wireless access point
providing flexible remote communications.
Honeywell’s OneWireless network provides a universal,
simple, and efficient network with these features:
One strategic network that supports multiple uses
(sensors and 802.11 Wi-Fi devices), providing one
infrastructure for simple network management
Scales from a few field instruments to thousands to get
started now but still prepare for future
Operates in noisy radio frequency environments for
reliable communication that functions safely as required
and when needed
Provides predictable power management to ensure uptime
and optimize maintenance
End-to-end industrial security to protect plant information
and ensure safety
Open architecture and protocol integration to provide
choices for standard and cost-effective solutions
Backwards compatible to previous Honeywell solutions
and forward migratable to protect your investment
