Before using your refrigerator, please carefully read this instruction manual in order to maximize its performance. Store all documentation for subsequent use or for other owners. This product is intended solely for household use or similar applications such as: - the kitchen area for personnel in shops, offices and other working environments - on farms, by clientele of hotels, motels and other environments of a residential type - at bed and breakfasts (B & B) - for catering services and similar applications not for retail sale. This appliance must be used only for purposes of storage of food, any other use is considered dangerous and the manufacturer will not be responsible for any omissions. Also, it is recommended that you take note of the warranty conditions. SAFETY INFORMATION The refrigerator contains a refrigerant gas (R600a: isobutane) and insulating gas (cyclopentane), with high compatibility with the environment, that are, however, infl ammable. We recommend that you follow the following regulations so as to avoid situations dangerous to you: Before performing any operation, unplug the power cord from the power socket. • The refrigeration system positioned behind and inside the Wine Coolers contains refrigerant. Therefore, avoid damaging the tubes. • If in the refrigeration system a leak is noted, do not touch the wall outlet and do not use open flames. Open the window and let air into the room. Then call a service centre to ask for repair. • Do not scrape with a knife or sharp object to remove frost or ice that occurs. With these, the refrigerant circuit can be damaged, the spill from which can cause a fire or damage your eyes. • Do not install the appliance in humid, oily or dusty places, nor expose it to direct sunlight and to water. • • • • • • • • • • • Do not install the appliance near heaters or inflammable materials. Do not use extension cords or adapters. Do not excessively pull or fold the power cord or touch the plug with wet hands. Do not damage the plug and/or the power cord; this could cause electrical shocks or fires. It is recommended to keep the plug clean, any excessive dust residues on the plug can be the cause fire. Do not use mechanical devices or other equipment to hasten the defrosting process. Absolutely avoid the use of open flame or electrical equipment, such as heaters, steam cleaners, candles, oil lamps and the like in order to speed up the defrosting phase. Do not use or store inflammable sprays, such as spray paint, near the Wine Coolers. It could cause an explosion or fi re. Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer. Do not place or store inflammable and highly volatile materials such as ether, petrol, LPG, propane gas, aerosol spray cans, adhesives, pure alcohol, etc. These materials may cause an explosion. Do not store medicine or research materials in the Wine Coolers. When the material that requires a strict control of storage temperatures is to be • • • • • stored, it is possible that it will deteriorate or an uncontrolled reaction may occur that can cause risks. Maintain the ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, free of obstruction. Do not place objects and/or containers filled with water on the top of the appliance. Do not perform repairs on this Wine Coolers. All interventions must be performed solely by qualified personnel. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with a lack of experience and knowledge; provided that they have been given adequate supervision or instruction concerning how to use the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be made by children without supervision SCRAPPING OLD APPLIANCES This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). WEEE contains both polluting substances (which can cause negative consequences for the environment) and basic components (which can be re-used). It is important to have WEEE subjected to specific treatments, in order to remove and dispose properly all pollutants, and recover and recycle all materials. Individuals can play an important role in ensuring that WEEE does not become an environmental issue; it is essential to follow some basic rules: - WEEE should not be treated as household waste; - WEEE should be handed over to the relevant collection points managed by the municipality or by registered companies. In many countries, for large WEEE, home collection could be present. In many countries, when you buy a new appliance, the old one may be returned to the retailer who has to collect it free of charge on a one-to-one basis, as long as the equipment is of equivalent type and has the same functions as the supplied equipment. Conformity By placing the mark on this product, we are confirming compliance to all relevant European safety, health and environmental requirements which are applicable in legislation for this product. Energy Saving For better energy saving we suggest : Installing tge appliance away from heat sources and not exposed to direct sunlight and in a well ventilated roo. Avoid putting hot food into the refrigerator to avoid increasing the internal temperature and therefore causing continuos functionaliting of the compressor. Do not excessively stuff foods so as to ensure proper air circulation. Defrost the appliance in case there is ice to facilitate the transfer of cold. In case of absence of electrical energy, it is advisable to keep the refrigerator door closed. Open or keep the doors of the appliance open as little as possible Avoid adjusting the setting to temperatures too cold. Remeve dust present on the rear of the appliance 7 Installing your new appliance Note: ● This appliance performs well within the climate class from SN to T showed in the table below. It may not work properly if left at a temperature above or below the indicated range for a long period. Before using the appliance for the first time, you should review the following tips. Ventilation of appliance In order to improve efficiency of the cooling system and save energy, it is necessary to maintain good ventilation around the appliance. For this reason, sufficient clear space should be available around the refrigerator. It is advisable for there to be at least 75mm of space from the back to the wall, at least 100mm from its top,at last 100mm from its side to the wall and a clear space in front to allow the doors to open 130°. Stand the appliance away from heat sources such as stoves, fires or heaters. Leveling of appliance ●For sufficient leveling and air circulating in the lower rear section of the appliance, the bottom feet may need to be adjusted. You can adjust them manually using a suitable spanner. ● 100 100 Climate class 990 8 ● To allow the doors to selfclose, tilt the top backwards by about 10mm. Note: If required you may lay the refrigerator on its back in order to gain access to the base, you should rest it on soft foam packaging or similar material to avoid damaging the backboard of the refrigerator. To reverse the door, the following steps are generally recommended. 1. Stand the refrigerator upright. Open the upper door to take out all door racks and tank(to avoid damage) and then close ≤10mm Reversing the door The side at which the door opens can be changed, from the right side (as supplied) to the left side, if trequired. Warning! When reversing the door, the appliance must not be connected to the mains. Ensure that the plug is removed from the mains socket. Remove the upper cover ①and corner cover ② on the top of the upper door, then remove right hinge cover ③ and hinge cover ④, and block cover ⑤on top of the cabinet. Left Hinge Cover 9 5. Place the upper door on a smooth surface with its panel upwards. Loose screw ④ and part ③, then loose screw ② and part ①. Install replacement stop block provided (in the plastic bag) to the left side with screw ②, then install part ③ with screw ④. Remove the 2 screws which are used for fixing the right upper hinge part ⑥ (see the picture above). ① Door holder ② Self-tapping screw ③ Stop block ④ Self-tapping screw Caution! Please hold the upper door in place during step 3 to prevent the door dropping. ① ② ③ ④ 4. Remove the upper door from the middle hinge by carefully lifting the door straight up. 6. Loosen screws used to fix the middle hinge and remove middle hinge. Then remove the lower door. 10 9. Tip the refrigerator back wards, remove part ③ and then remove screws. 7. Place the lower door on a smooth surface with its panel upwards. Remove screw ④ and part ③, then remove screw ② and part ①. Screw out the lower hinge pin, change it to the adjacent hole site, and then tighten into position, then mount washer (see the picture above). ① ② ③ ④ 11. Replace the items remount in step 9, change part ① to left and part ② to right and then fix them with screws ④. Finally install part ③. 8. Change screw hole covers on middle cover plate from left to right (as shown in figure below). Lower hinge part (left) 12. Slot the lower door onto the bottom hinge pin and hold in position. Turn the middle hinge by 180°, change the washer on the axis to the upper side, 11 at the top or the door to secure the door in place. (Please carefully hold upper door by hand when installing) adjust the middle hinge to the appropriate position and then install it ensuring the lower door in secured in place. Note: washer may stick to lower door. washer 13. Screw out the upper hinge pin①, turn the upper hinge ② over and fix the pin on the other side. Caution! Ensure the hinge pin is heightened fully into position. 15. Assemble the cover to match the hinge. ① Upper Hinge Pin ② Upper Hinge 16. Switch the handles from the left to the right (only for the model with handles). Underside of the upper hinge Top of the pin 14. Move the upper door to an appropriate position, adjust upper hinge and upper door, then fix the hinge pin into the hinge hole Caution! To get more space in freezer, you can remove drawers (except the bottom freezer drawer), ice tray. 13 Control panel Use your appliance according to the following guidelines, your appliance has functions as the control panel shown in the pictures below. Controlling the temperature We recommend that when you start your refrigerator for the first time, the temperature for the refrigerator is set to 4°C and the freezer to -18°C. If you want to change the temperature, follow the instructions below. Caution! When you set a temperature, you set an average temperature for the whole refrigerator cabinet. Temperatures inside each compartment may vary from the temperature displayed on the panel, depending on how much food you store and where you place them. Ambient temperature may also affect the actual temperature inside the appliance. 1. Fridge Press the middle part of button to set fridge temperature between 2℃ and 8℃ as needed, and control panel will display corresponding figures according to the following sequence. 3 8 14 2. Freezer Press the middle part of button to set fridge temperature between -16℃ and -24℃ as needed, and control panel will display corresponding figures according to the following sequence. -16 4. Holiday If you are going to be away for a long period of time, you -20 -18 -24 pressing the middle part of button and the freezer temperature setting will revert back to the previous setting. can activate this function by pressing the middle part of button for 3 seconds until the light comes on. ● When the holiday function is activated, the temperature of the refrigerator will be automatically switched to 15℃ to minimize the energy consumption. Important! Do not store any food in the fridge during this time. ● When holiday function is on, you can switch it off by pressing the middle part of button. The fridge temperature setting will revert back to the previous setting. -22 3. Super Freeze Super Freeze will quickly lower the temperature within the freezer so food will freeze faster. This can lock in nutrients of food and keep food fresh for longer. Press the middle part of ● button for 3 seconds to activate the super freeze function. The light will be on. Super freezer will ● automatically switch off after 26 hours. When super freeze function ● is on, you can switch off super freeze function by 15 Using your appliance Your appliance has the accessories as the “Description of the appliance”showed in general, with this part instruction you can have the right way to use them. Door rack ● It is suitable for the storage of eggs, canned liquid, bottled drinks and packed food, etc. Do not place too many heavy stuff in the racks. Water Dispenser The water dispenser, located in the fridge door, is for storing drinking water. With this appliance you can obtain chilled water easily without opening the refrigerator. You should review of following tips. ● Before using Before using this appliance for the first time, you should use it based on following instructions. 1. Hold the two sides of the water tank tightly, then pull up the water tank by shaking up and down. 2. Unscrew the head, then clean it and the inside of water tank. Shelf in Refrigerator chamber ● There are shelves in refrigerator chamber, and they can be taken out to clean. ① ② Bottle rack ● It is for storing bottled wine or drinks, and it can be taken out to clean . Head 16 ● Assembling Before assembling, please drain the water inside the tank, and check whether the washer is reversed or not. 1.Insert the head into the hole. 2.Fit the tank along the guides on the door. 3.Press down on the two side of the tank. 4.When you hear a click sound, that means the installation is completed. ① Slot ③ fixed holder washer wrong position correct position ● ② Filling water Before you fill the drinking water into the water tank, ensure that the water tank is steady and in a correct position. Caution! Fill with water up to 3L (which is suggested), and not above the level. Otherwise, it may overflow when the lid is close. We recommend that you fill the water by the following ways. 1. Remove the small lid and fill water from the inlet of the large lid. 2. Remove the cover of the tank, and then fill water inside directly. Guide ④ Warning! 1.Be careful not to press on the head; 2.When fitting the water tank, ensure the head inserted into the hole first; 3.If you found the washer reversed or loosed when removing the tank, you must take off the fixed holder by contrarotating it first, then put the washer to the correct position, and install the fixed holder at last. Small lid Large lid Head 17 Warning! Don't touch other parts of the appliance when filling water, it may cause the water leakage. ● Dispenser lever Suggested position Dispensing water 1. Make sure the cover of the water tank is fitted on. 2. Close the fridge door and check the dispenser. Warning! Don't push the dispenser lever forward without cup, it may cause the water leak from the dispenser. ● unlock Lock Before you dispense the water, make sure the lock device is on left side,it is meaning unlock situation. Warning! The lock is defined as “child lock”. Don't push the dispenser lever forward strongly, when the dispenser is on right side, it is meaning lock situation, it may damage ● Receiving Water You should use the correct cups to receive water underneath the water dispenser. Cleaning 1. Put the water tank out of the door carefully, and then wash the tank, lid, and head lightly in water. 2. After you have successfully cleaned the appliance, you should dry it by natural drying or using the dryer. 3.If you have used the water dispenser for many times, the water in the receiving tank may drop on the floor, which may make your floor wet, and you should clean the tank with dry towel regularly before overflow. Hints for refrigeration ●Meat (All Types) Wrap in polythene food: wrap and place on the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer. Always follow food storage times and use by dates suggested by manufacturers. ●Cooked food, cold dishes, etc.: They should be covered and may be placed on any shelf. ●Fruit and vegetables: They should be stored in the special drawer provided. ●Butter and cheese: Should be wrapped in airtight foil or plastic film wrap. ●Milk bottles: Should have a lid and be stored in the door racks. Energy saving tips ● We recommend that you follow the tips below to save energy. ● Try to avoid keeping the door open for long periods. ● Ensure the appliance is away from any sources of heat (Direct sunlight, electric oven or cooker etc). ● Don't set the temperature colder than necessary. ● Don't store warm food or evaporating liquid in the appliance. ● Place the appliance in a well ventilated, humidity free, room. Please refer to Installing your new appliance chapter. ● The description of appliance diagram shows a combination of shelves and drawers designed to be the most energy efficient configuration. Hints for fresh food refrigeration Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator or freezer, the internal ● 19 Hints for freezing ● When first starting-up or after a period out of use, let the appliance run at least 2 hours on the higher settings before putting food in the compartment. ● Prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly and completely frozen and to make it possible to subsequently thaw only the quantity required. ●Wrap up the food In aluminum foil or polyethylene food wraps which are airtight. ●Do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch the food which is already frozen to avoid temperature rise of the latter. ● Iced products, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer compartment, will probably cause frost burns to the skin. ● It is recommended to label and date each frozen package in order to keep track of the storage time. Hints for the storage of frozen food ● Ensure that frozen food has been stored correctly by the food retailer. ● 20 Once defrosted, food will deteriorate rapidly and should not be re-frozen. Do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food manufacturer. Switching off your appliance If the appliance needs to be switched off for an extended period, the following steps should be taken prevent mould on the appliance. 1. Remove all food. 2. Remove the power plug from the mains socket. 3. Clean and dry the interior thoroughly. 4. Ensure that all the doors are wedged open slightly to allow air to circulate. Cleaning and care -Don't use Thinner, Car detergent, Clorox, ethereal oil, abrasive cleansers or organic solvent such as Benzene for cleaning. They may damage the surface of the appliance and may cause fire. Interior cleaning You should clean the appliance interior regularly. Wipe the inside of the fridge freezer with a weak solution of bicarbonate of soda, and then rinse with warm water using a wrung-out sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the shelves and baskets. Thoroughly dry all surfaces and removable parts. Although this appliance automatically defrosts, a layer of frost may occur on the freezer compartment's interior frequently or kept open too long. If the frost is too thick, choose a time when the supply of food stocks are low and proceed as follows: 1.Remove existing food and accessories baskets, For hygienic reasons the appliance (including exterior and interior accessories) should be cleaned regularly (at least every two months). Caution! The appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleaning as there is a danger of electrical shock. Danger of electrical shock! Before cleaning switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains socket. Exterior cleaning -Wipe the control panel with a clean, soft cloth. -Spray water onto the cleaning cloth instead of spraying directly on the surface of the appliance. This helps ensure an even distribution of moisture to the surface. -Clean the doors, handles and cabinet surfaces with a mild detergent and then wiped dry with a soft cloth. Caution! -Don't use sharp objects as they are likely to scratch the surface. 21 unplug the appliance from the mains power and leave the doors open. Ventilate the room thoroughly to accelerate the thawing process. 2. When defrosting is completed, clean your freezer as described above. Caution! Don't use sharp objects to remove frost from the freezer compartment. Only after the interior is completely dry should the appliance be switched back on and plugged back into the mains socket. Door seals cleaning Take care to keep door seals clean. Sticky food and drinks can cause seals to stick to the cabinet and tear when you open the door. Wash seal with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry it thoroughly after cleaning. Caution! Only after the door seals are completely dry should the appliance be powered on. Replacing the LED light: Warning: The LED light should be replaced by a competent person! If the LED light is damaged, contact the customer helpline for assistance. To replace the LED light, the below steps can be followed: 1. Unplug your appliance. 2. Remove light cover by pushing up and out. 3. Hold the LED cover with one hand and pull it with the other hand while pressing the connector latch. 4. Replace LED light and snap it correctly in place. 22 Troubleshooting If you experience a problem with your appliance or are concerned that the appliance is not functioning correctly, you can carry out some easy checks before calling for service, please see below. Warning! Don't try to repair the appliance yourself. If the problem persists after you have made the checks mentioned below, contact a qualified electrician, authorized service engineer or the shop where you purchased the product. The motor runs continuously The motor runs continuously A layer of frost occurs in the compartment Te m p e r a t u r e inside is too warm Other unusual noises are due to the reasons below and may need you to check and take action: ● The cabinet is not level. ● The back of appliance touches the wall. ● Bottles or containers fallen or rolling. It is normal to frequently hear the sound of the motor, it will need to run more when in following circumstances: ● Temperature setting is set colder than necessary ● Large quantity of warm food has recently been stored within the appliance. ● The temperature outside the appliance is too high. ● Doors are kept open too long or too often. ● After your installing the appliance or it has been switched off for a long time. Check that the air outlets are not blocked by food and ensure food is placed within the appliance to allow sufficient ventilation. Ensure that door is fully closed. To remove the frost, please refer to cleaning and care chapter. You may have left the doors open too long or too frequently; or the doors are kept open by some obstacle; or the appliance is located with insufficient clearance at the sides, back and top. 24 It is prohibited to dispose of this appliance as household waste. Packaging materials Packaging materials with the recycle symbol are recyclable. Dispose of the packaging into a suitable waste collection container to recycle it. Before disposal of the appliance 1. Pull out the mains plug from the mains socket. 2. Cut off the power cord and discard with the mains plug. Warning! Refrigerators contain refrigerant and gases in the insulation. Refrigerant and gases must be disposed of professionally as they may cause eye injuries or ignition. Ensure that tubing of the refrigerant circuit is not damage prior to proper disposal. Correct Disposal of this product This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
